Meanwhile...

Jack: "How much paint do you think we need?"

The five of them have picked out a dozen large buckets of white and black paint, paint rollers, and trays.

Bryant: "This should be good."

They're heading over to pay.

Kyle: "How're we going to bring these back?"

Tori: "By carrying them."

Kyle: "(awkwardly) Uh oh..."

Eryth: "And two of us need to carry three."

Meanwhile...

Soldier 1: "These orders keep getting more and more ridiculous!"

Eight soldiers stand outside a store dedicated to paint armed with shotguns.

Soldier 2: "And why aren't thousands being sent at a time?"

Soldier 3: "It's like he's asking us if we want to die this way, or that way."

The heroes step outside.

Spencer: "(awkwardly) Fuck..."

They set their supplies down.

Eryth: "Looks like we were right!"

Bryant's tattoos appear as Spencer equips his Relay Gear.

Bryant: "For the memes!"

Spencer: "Yes Bryant!"

Combat begins.

Meanwhile...

The boy with the baggy clothes and white watch is just walking along the streets.

Boy: "This isn't anything new to me, but..."

He pauses.

Boy: "Where are the others?"

He continues towards a store dedicated to paint.

Meanwhile...

Jack: "Rune #12 Shadow!"

Shadows from beneath Jack extend like claws and creep towards the soldiers.

Tori: "Come on!"

Tori and Zack are trying to keep their distance as Bryant tries to force his way through the shots as a wolf.

Soldier 4: "Hold still!"

Bryant: "No?"

Spencer: "Artist's Wave!"

A strange light envelopes the others.

Jack: "(excited) Whoa!"

The shadows move a lot faster, ensnaring a soldier in it's grasp.

Soldier 5: "H-Help!"

The soldier is swallowed by the shadows like a cat going for a bird, disappearing forever.

Soldier 6: "O-Oh fuck no!"

The soldier makes a run for it.

Kyle: "Good to know somebody knows exactly what he's up against and running with his brown pants on."

Soldier 7: "You don't run when you know what you're fighting for!"

Tori: "Do you actually know?"

Moment of silence...

Soldier 8: "It doesn't matter!"

Meanwhile...

Boy: "I swear I heard someone over here say Artist's Wave!"

The boy rushes over to the scene to see the battle ensuing.

Boy: "Relay Gear?"

He pushes the button on his watch, putting on a white and grey Relay Gear.

Boy: "Please don't be a trap."

He hurries over.

Meanwhile...

Bryant rips out a soldier's neck with his fangs.

Bryant: "(spitting out) Finally."

Kyle: "Hey!"

Another soldier fires at Kyle's hand, messing with his aim.

Tori: "Great, aiming is our specialty."

Bryant gets shot in the front left paw.

Tori: "Hold on!"

Tori skewers a soldier through the right eyes, blinding and killing him instantly while Jack

Spencer: "I can't seem to use any other Waves!"

Spencer is locked into using the Artist's Wave.

???: "Do you need an expert?"

The energy fills Spencer's body.

Tori: "(aiming) What's that?"

The boy in the white Relay Gear walks up with his Stream Echo.

Spencer: "Aren't you Dominic?"

Dominic: "Yeah? How do you know?"

Tori hurries and picks up Bryant in the confusion.

Tori: "I'll get their wounds treated while you wrap this up!"

Jack: "I'll lower the bleeding to make it easier!"

Tori pulls out some cloth out from her back pockets as a hazy aura surrounds Dominic.

Dominic: "What's this?"

Spencer: "Our connection."

Jack: "(smiling) Cool!

Spencer walks up to Dominic.

Dominic: "Connection?"

Jack fires a blast of light and kills another soldier.

Jack: "(smiling) Did you forget about us?"

Eryth: "Protect the injured!"

The aura glows bright as Jack creates a wall of metal.

Tori: "Thanks Jack!"

The two activate the Artist's Wave.

Spencer/ Dominic: "Synergy Attack..."

The energy pours into each other as the soldiers take aim.

Soldier 2: "Knock them out!"

The shots make no effect.

Spencer/ Dominic: "... Twin Artists!"

They move at double their normal speed before hitting a left hook from Spencer and a right hook from Dominic so powerful, they shatter the two soldiers skulls and the soldier in the middle's. All three drop dead.

Bryant: "(breathing heavily) Thanks."

Tori has stopped the bleeding after the two injured change back into their normal attire.

Kyle: "(in pain) But now comes the fun part."

The two in Relay Gear change into their normal attire.

Dominic: "Fun part? Not the soldiers?"

They all look towards the paint.

Spencer: "Oh yeah..."

Bryant's injury is on his left shoulder.

Bryant: "(in pain) I can manage."

The injured each pick up two buckets as Jack gives them a little medical attention.

Eryth: "Best not to over exert yourself Jack."

Jack picks up two buckets and some brushes.

Jack: "(smiling) I know!"

Tori picks up two cans and some trays.

Dominic: "W-Wait a minute!"

Eryth: "Listen, we'll explain on the way."

Dominic hesitantly picks up the remaining items.

Dominic: "O-Okay..."

They head for base...
