Chapter Two- The Funeral
She wore a black dress , her mother's old black heels , a black cardigan and her hair was done .
Her grandfather and her planned the whole thing in a week for a double funeral.
Benjamin and Rey walked into the funeral parlor and saw almost the entire town .
Rey walked up to say a few words , but she couldn't . She opened her mouth to speak but found herself crying .
Mister Luke came and brought her back to her seat and allowed the priest to continue.
They walked out to the cemetery to bury her parents . The priest spoke of God as she and her grandfather sat in their seats quietly.
The priest handed her a white dove and she stroked it before setting it free .
Two men for the military came and folded a flag into a triangle , they presented it to her and she had tears running down her face as she held it.

They were in the diner that her family owned , she was nursing a glass of water and sitting quietly next to her grandfather .
Mister Luke came and hugged her while letting her cry. His family came as well.
Mr. And Mrs. Solo were nice . Mrs. Solo hugged Rey and dried her tears and kissed her cheek . In all the years she knew Mr. Solo from them stopping by at their diner he had never looked upset .
He hugged her tight and she felt a tear drop fall on her head from his eyes .
Their son Ben , who Rey went to school with gave his condolences and pat her shoulder .

With a grey cloud over the party and rain falling her grandfather urged her to play her mother's favorite song on the piano .
So Rey sat down and slowly played the song Halo by Beyoncé , the song her mother used to sing ever day after chemo.
The guests slowly started to leave and there was just the Solo's , Mister Luke and she and her grandfather .
"You've been playing for almost three hours dear" Leia said rubbing her shoulder.
"I'm fine" she replied and Leia nodded then walked out.
She closed her eyes and pounded on the keys. A hand rubbed her shoulder and then it was gone .
When she looked up she saw a single striped carnation with a small note attached to it.
Les funérailles ne sont pas pour les morts, mais les vivants -B
She wiped a tear and put the flower in her lap to try and figure out the language.
She shook her head and went back to playing the music on the piano .
