Rey walked into school that Monday with a heavy heart . Her eyes still puffy from al the crying and her father's old military cap on.

She scratched her arm and walked to her locker towards the end of the hall to see her locker with a striped carnation.

Rey let out a small smile and leaned down to to look at the flower , grabbing the top and read it to herself.

She smiled and then opened her locker. "Hey peanut" she turned to see Finn with open arms and a soft smile "who is the flower from ?"

"No clue" she said "B...that's all it said ..." she handed him the card "I got one at the reception , but I couldn't read it , in another language" she told him.

"How are ?" He asked .

"Okay I guess... I mean ... they're gone now ... and they're a nothing I can do... expect understand my mother is no longer in pain and my father is with her"

"Yeah" he rubbed her shoulder "you have your grandpa , and Mister Luke and me and Poe !" He said hugging her.

"Yeah... that's good" she hugged her friend tight then the bell rang.

"I was thinking today after school we could go to Poe's? BB had puppies ... and he said they're finally old enough that we can ply with them... just think , pizza , you and us , tons of early 2000's pop songs and puppy corgis !"

"Okay I'm excited " she smiled as they separated.

"Bye peanut !" He called out. She waved and walked into class.

She took her seat in the back and opened her notebook. During classwork her teacher Mr. Yoda came and hugged her softly.

She hugged the older man and he smiled at her .

When she arrived at her locker and there was another flower . With another note .

Sometimes we need to walk through the darkness to get through the light . - B,

She shook her head and smiled , looking around the hall she found no guy's looking at her and just a janitor picking his nose .

She heard noise and turned to see Ben Solo and his friends walking down the hall.

A basketball in his hands and his smile white . He walked past her and gave her a sympathetic smile then walked with his friends some more .

She and Ben used to be close when they were in elementary school . Then when his father and mother started making more money he began to hang out with the popular kids in school.

She ran her hand over her note and smiled . Her phone dinged and she opened it with a text from her grandfather .

I'm thinking some frozen yogurt tonight is on our menu .
She smiled and walked to her next class.

Rey and Finn arrived at Poe's house ready to play with the corgis .

There was eight puppies barking and yipping. around . "Oh my heart !" Finn said leaning down and hugging them.

Rey sat down on the floor and one the chubbiest puppy waddled over to her .

He had orange fur and grey eyes that looked up at her . He sniffed her hand and licked it then crawled into her lap to nap.

"That one is the only girl ... really cute ... " Poe said as he rubbed a dog's back.

"She's so sweet"

"She's the runt... look at her siblings all extremely chubby-"

"Poe you feed BB like 7 times a day!" Finn shouted and they laughed .

"You wanna keep her ?" Poe asked.

"She's the only girl though"

"Yeah , and I don't want my boys humping their sister ... "

"I suppose ... oh what the hell I can't say not to that face" she smiled and the dog in her lap licked her face .

Rey smiled "BB-8, Bubbles Barbra the Eighth" she smiled and rubbed the pups ears.
