Freedom

Mark's P.O.V

I jumped at the sound of groaning and glanced around. Aaron, terrified, grabbed onto my arm, his voice a hoarse whisper. "W... What was that?"

"I don't know. Does anything look different?" I asked, deciding it must of been machinery that doesn't get used very often. Maybe it was the door opening? And then there was a scream. As far as I'm concerned, it seems like we were safer down here.

"Look! Mark! Stairs! We're free!" Aaron exclaimed, pulling me along. I grinned happily as we saw light, and we bursted into the room.

And that is when I saw him. Dark, Darkiplier. The... Thing that shouldn't be real. Darkiplier can't really exisit, but in front of me I see the man.

"Hello Mark."

"You're not real, this is some joke. Darkiplier doesn't exisit." I said, trying to keep a straight face. Maybe I am dreaming, and we were still captured. There was just no way Darkiplier could exisit.

"M... Mark?" Aaron asked and I drew his trembling body towards me, trying to calm him down with my own calm exterior, inside I was as frightened as ever. Wrapping my arms around him protectivly, I slowly walked us to where the door was.

"Going so soon? But what about the person who captured you both? Don't you want revenge?" He gestured over to the person, blood covering her. Her arm looked limp, broken. Her eyes were sliding close, struggling to keep consiousness. What had Dark done to her?

"I can live without revenge. Come on Aaron, lets get out of here."

"No!" Dark yelled and the door slammed close. His eyes landed on us, fury enveloping them. "I won't let you leave yet."

"W... why n... not?" Aaron asked and Dark gave a sinister smile. One I don't think I liked the look of.

"Let's have a lesson on me, shall we?"

"Y... you two..." the girl coughed before continuing. "S... stay strong... This... Is going to be a... hard battle..."

"Excuse me. I'm doing a lesson." Dark snapped at her before clearing his throat. "I was born through hatred and despair..."

"H... Hurry up... Please... I w... want to go home..." Aaron stuttered and I grinned.

"Excuse me!" Dark yelled. He walked up to us, and I felt Aaron cower closer to me. "You will not interrupt me like that." He cleared his throat again. "I had asked Layla over there to capture Mark so I could do stuff without his knowledge, but she found a loop hole."

"Dark feeds... On negative e... emotions. So... I... I introduced l... love." Layla spoke up again and Dark stormed over to her, slapping her.

"Hey! Stop!" I yelled and Dark turned away. Layla gave a weak smile in my direction.

"Now, hand over Aaron, Mark, or I will make the rest of your living days hell." Dark said, holding out his hand. I froze, he wanted me to trade Aaron for peace?
