Despite all his big talk, Booka went down real quick.

You smirked while the pirates around exploded in thunderous laughter and cheers.

«And the winner iiis... the marine girl!» one of them shouted.

Thorin elbowed him in the ribs.

«Don't call her that.»

You chuckled.

«I'm next! I'm next!» a young recruit uttered, sitting beside an unconscious Booka and pounding his tankard on the table.

You stood and pushed his face away.

«Nah. Go back to mama.»

The action caused another burst of laughter and whistles, since the skirt of your dress waved in the wind.

«Wow, the girl is pretty merciless, isn't she?»

«Thank god I'm no marine.»

«Don't look at me, I'd gladly be her slave.»

Their stupid comments threatened the smile to further tug at your lips, so you lowered your face, letting your hair slide over it.

A fresh breeze was blowing in the night, and the sea gently stroked the keel of the ship.

The pirates were drinking, eating and shouting all around.

You glanced at Kid's table.

The Mohican was enthusiastically talking about something, Heat was adding a few words here and there. Kid and the others were listening. His amber eyes glided to you and your gazes met.

You couldn't hide your smile in time, so you quickly turned, but not before noticing a strange glow in his eyes.

Someone dragged a few instruments on the deck and music started to animate the banquet.

It was the kind of music you would expect from a crew like that: loud, indecent and slightly dissonant, but you didn't mind it.

«[Y/N]!»

You looked at Thorin and a man with blue-dyed beard called Leo.

«Come dance with us!»

You frowned.

«Dance? I really don't think so.»

«Oh, c'mon!» Leo whined «Do you want that fancy dress to go wasted?»

You looked around.

A lot of pirates were actually dancing. In a ridiculous, stupid and kind of funny way.

Nothing similar at the yearly event for Officers you were used to.

«Sorry fellas, I don't dance.»

A big callous hand grabbed your wrist and tugged you. Your head bumped against Booka's broad chest.

He was a bit unstable on his legs and the alcoholic flush tinged his cheeks.

«What the hell?»

«You won't escape this, woman!» he blurted «You defeated me, now you dance!»

«You are aware it doesn't make any sense, right? WAH!»

He not-so-gently pushed you in the throng, were other pirates grabbed you, sucking you in.

«Wait! Wait!» you squeaked, but it was no use.

They were too big and too strong for you to wiggle out.

«C'mon, woman!»

«Show your moves!»

Opening a way among those sweated bodies with your shoulders and elbows, you managed to peer out from a little gap and frantically wave at the top ranks' table.

«A little help?!»

They were already following the scene.

Wire huffed, Heat shrugged and the Mohican laughed. You couldn't see Killer's face, but judging from his posture, you guessed he was pretty amused. Kid just gave you his mischievous smirk, crossing his arms and relaxing against the railing.

Those bastards.

It was the only glimpse you could catch, because someone dragged you back among the men.

«Don't you sneak out!»

A second later, you were pressed against various muscular chests, most of them bare and hairy, that were supposedly moving at rhythm.

«Let me go! Shit. I'll have you all–»

«...EXECUTED WITH OUT DICKS CRUCIFIED ON OUT FOREHEADS!» they uttered in chorus.

Your jaw fell at their cockiness when they burst in laughter, but before you knew it, your mouth bent and a giggle escaped you.

«Fuck me! What, you actually smiling?» Booka rumbled, shaking you by your arms, and you dreaded for your brain to mush in your skull.

«Stop idiot, she ain't no maracas!» Thorin barked, snatching you away.

«Yeah, I ain't no maracas.» you sighed resigned.

«Fuck you, Thorin!»

«You fucking say what?!»

Leo pulled you away in time before the two pirates started the first brawl of the night, surrounded by enthusiastic cheering men.

You were hoping this would move the focus from you, but a big group was still convinced you owed everyone a dance.

«My turn! My turn!» someone yelled, grasping you from behind and smashing you against his torso, big hands travelling on your belly.

Woha, too close.

«Hey!» you snapped, hitting him in the stomach with your elbow.

He flinched, causing his fingers to retract, slightly pulling your skirt up and you knew dozens of men were paying attention to the movements of your dress.

«Watch out!» someone shouted.

The pirate behind you jumped away just in time to dodge the knife, which pierced the wooden floor.

Suddenly, everyone stepped back from you, opening a clearing.

You almost lost your balance, but quickly recovered it and turned to the captain's table.

Kid's face was lazily lying on his palm, his metallic hand still in position as he attracted the knife back.

«Come here, birdie.»

You secretly let out a sigh of relief.

You adjusted your dress and collected the dagger, walking towards their table. No one dared to stop you.

When you reached them, Heat moved a bit to let some space between him and Kid.

«I feel like I need a promotion.» you groaned, sitting down and handing the blade over to the captain.

Killer crossed his arms.

«To captain?»

«To Admiral.»

The Mohican chuckled, while Kid and Wire gobbled down another litre of booze.

«The only good thing about all this is that I jumped ahead the WG pool.» you huffed, relaxing beside the redhead.

«What's the WG pool?» Heat asked.

«The Worst Generation pool.» you explained «The lower Officers have this bet going on: every time you face someone from the Worst Generation and come back alive, you win some money. The tougher the clash, the higher the amount.» you smiled «Plus, the first person who faces them all gains the right to choose among the best Devil Fruits available.»

«Well, that's interesting!» the Mohican said «Have someone won already?»

«Yeah, the soldiers who were at Sabaody before the War of the Best were obviously advantaged... we had a couple of winners in the last two years, but...»

«But?»

Your eyes passed on them.

«People who see a lot of supernovas and get in a high position, they... usually end up dying.»

A brief silence hovered on the table.

«What position are you in?» Killer asked.

You hesitated.

«Pretty high, I guess.»

Kid looked at you.

«You survived a lot of supernovas?»

You nodded.

«I saw Strawhat and Roronoa before the Enies Lobby incident, then I saw the little fella again at Marineford. And obviously, Blackbeard too.»

The redhead leaned the glass on the table.

«Did you face him?»

«Nah. I was stupid enough to try, but I was stopped by my... superior.»

Kid hummed.

«Who else?» Killer asked.

«Umh, let me think... oh, I had Trafalgar Law on my gunsight.» you smirked.

«That fucker!» Kid scoffed «Why didn't you kill him?»

«Isn't he a Warlord now?»

«Precisely.» you said «He came to Marineford offering something like 100 hearts of our enemies and presented an application.»

«What a creep.»

«When he docked, I was on the walls. My duty was to keep him under aim and shoot him dead if he tried something during the negotiations.»

Wire cocked an eyebrow.

«They entrusted you with a big deal.»

«I wasn't our only weapon, obviously.» you admitted «But he went as far as giving his cheeky smirk at me and waving.»

Kid groaned in contempt.

«That creep became a Government's lapdog. Next time I see him, I'm killing him.»

«Aaaand that's why you weren't sent an invitation, Eustass Kid.»

He shrugged.

«What about the other members of the Worst Generation?» Killer urged you to continue.

«Well, my team had a clash with Bege shortly after he entered the New World. And I don't even know how many points the whole thing on this ship is worth, though they probably deleted my name from the rankings already.»

«These are all the supernovas you saw?»

«Mmh, there's X Drake, of course, but he doesn't really count unless you were in a fight with him.»

«Right.» Wire nodded «He was a Marine officer a few years ago, wasn't he?»

«Yeah...»

Your mind trailed off to the only real memory you had of the pirate.

You sighed heavily, leaning your bare arms on the table and dragging the glass closer.

The stupid silky pink dress you were forced to wear was tight in all the wrong places, and your skin had started to redden.

You knew you had to dance at least ONE song before the event was over, that was what the etiquette wanted. Especially since it was just your third year joining.

But you felt awfully awkward in that squeezing piece of fabric, and you had already gulped down too much booze for the etiquette to be respected anyway.

«My god.» Tashigi cried, taking the empty place next to you when the song was over «I can't take it anymore. These heels are killing me.»

You just hummed, eyes fixed on the transparent liquid in your glass.

Tashigi had been dancing without a break since the ball started. Apparently, all the young Officers in the hall craved to dance with her.

The girl sent a concerned look at you.

«[Y/n]-san, have you danced yet?»

«Nope.»

She bit her lower lip.

«Umh, I know it's none of my business, but you should, at least for a few minutes. The etiquette–»

«Fuck the etiquette.» you hissed, shooting the burning liquid down your throat.

She gasped.

«I'm with you on that, but...»

«According to the etiquette I have to dance, but, always according to the etiquette, I cannot be the one asking, right?» you smiled bitterly «Not that there's anyone I'd ask.»

You glanced over your naked shoulder to the other side of the hall, where the Admirals sat.

The three of them were surrounded by other high-ranking Officers, males and females. They never looked your way.

Tashigi nervously clicked her tongue.

«I know...»

A high-pinched chirping approached in the form of a group of coquettish women. They were all frills and eyelashes, fawning behind an Officer passing by.

He was very tall, with a stern expression in his blue eyes, resolute stride and an x-shaped scar on his chin. And he was coming your way.

«That's X Drake!» Tashigi whispered.

You peered at him from behind your locks, before pouring yourself another generous amount of booze.

«He's probably coming to ask you for a dance.» you mumbled.

You didn't pay any more attention to the scene, but you felt him getting closer and closer, until his imposing presence stood behind your back.

The group of women following him stopped honking, while Tashigi jumped to attention.

«Rear Admiral X Drake!» she uttered as a greet.

«I was wondering if this lady could grant me the next dance.»

Sure he was talking to her, you drank from your glass, not minding the strange silence that followed his request.

«Lieutenant [L/n]?»

So you choked on your drink, ending up spitting a bit on the table.

«W-What?»

«Yes, she'd love to!» Tashigi grinned, placing a hand on your shoulder and squeezing too much.

Okay, OKAY, I got it.

Still coughing, you grabbed a tissue to dry your mouth, smearing it with red lipstick.

Just great.

«Of course, Rear Admiral.» you said, standing up «It's not like a lower Officer can really refuse after all, is it?»

Tashigi groaned, but pushed you forward.

You noticed that X Drake didn't really seem to pay attention to what was around him. His gaze looked lost, like his mind was heavily focused on something else.

However, his touch was gentle when he took your hand.

You swallowed, trying to ignore the heat on your neck and face and the sharp eyes of the women behind you.

Great. ONE dance, and you already earned some more hate from other Officers.

He guided you on the dance floor, among the other couples, and delicately held your waist, while you placed your hands on his shoulders.

Not that easy, since he was freakishly tall.

You were stiff and sweaty, trying to remember the steps.

Finally, you got his attention.

«You do not look comfortable, Lieutenant.»

«You don't say, genius.» you muttered, eyes fixed on your feet.

A second later, you realized what you just said and your face quickly lifted on his.

«I meant of course I am, Rear Admiral!»

A small smirk tugged at the corner of his lips.

«I can see why there are voices about you, now.»

You tightly closed your mouth, but he shook his head.

«It's fine. That's why I asked you. Relax, just follow my movements.»

He took a swing, fluidly bringing you with him.

After a first tense moment, you began to let him lead you completely.

«That's why you asked me?»

You still felt a lot of eyes on you, but your volume was low enough for nobody to hear your conversation.

«Yes. Apparently, a Rear Admiral is supposed to dace with a lot of different Officers. I just couldn't take anymore of those... ladies.»

You chuckled.

«You know I'm not very popular, don't you?»

«I don't care. Having the chance to meet Surprise D. face to face is very interesting, if you ask me.»

«That's just a stupid nickname the press gave to pretty much all the snipers of the Marines.»

«No it's not.»

Before you could reply, he quickly made you pirouette, before taking you back into his arms.

Shortly after, his gaze went back to be lost, his mind sliding away.

«What are you thinking about?» you asked.

He quirked a ginger eyebrow, looking down at you.

«I beg your pardon?»

«It's clear that your head is somewhere else.»

Drake stared at you briefly, before moving his eyes to the rest of the hall.

He didn't talk for a while.

«Lieutenant [L/n], do you really think the Marines are on the right side?»

You tensed up at the question.

That was something you didn't want to ask when Akainu was in the same room.

He made you turn and you faced the Admiral's table.

Instead of Akainu, though, you saw Aokiji.

Kizaru just bent closer to him to say something that made him chuckle.

You smiled lightly.

«I know I am.»

He followed your gaze.

«I see.»

The song ended and Drake let you go.

«Thank you for sharing this dance with me, my lady.»

He brought your hand on his face and his lips brushed your skin.

You cleared your voice, embarrassed.

«The pleasure is mine, Rear Admiral.»

The Officer bowed and took his leave.

Not too much time after, you asked yourself if he had already decided to desert, that night.

«Birdie.»

A painful flick hit your forehead, snatching you out from your memories.

«Ouch! Hey.»

You glared at Kid, who brought the tankard back to his mouth.

«You zoned out for too long.»

«Killer!»

«Killer-san!»

A few pirates called the first mate, waving their muscular arms from the centre of the deck.

Some tables were moved to make space for what looked like a drum.

«Come play for us!»

«Yeah! Play!»

The blond let out an amused sigh and stood up.

«Wait, you play the drums?» you asked, confused.

«Yeah.»

He left the table to reach it, while some other crewmates dragged their instruments closer.

Killer was the first to start, and the second his beat hit, you had to admit he knew what he was doing.

The rhythm was powerful and captivating.

The other pirates followed his lead, playing along. The music was much better now.

You stared at the scene, shocked.

«Are you seeing what I'm seeing?» you murmured, lightly tugging at Kid's vest.

«I've seen it enough times already.» he smirked «And, if you want to touch me, you could find a better excuse.»

You immediately let go of him, puckering your lips in a pout.

Of course he couldn't let the occasion of teasing you slip, but he was also kind of right.

He hadn't lain a finger on you yet. Yes, you gained some hungry looks, but you were secretly hoping for the dress' effect to be a bit more... dramatic.

«Fine, no touching then.» you mumbled, averting your eyes.

He snickered.

«Oh, I wouldn't count on it, birdie.»

The promises in his voice made you shiver.

«Hey, Heat! Come sing!» someone yelled.

«No way!» you exclaimed, turning to the blue-haired pirate «You sing?!»

He rubbed the back of his head, looking away.

«Just when they are being very insistent...»

«HEAT!!»

«...like now.»

«C'mon, go sing already!» the Mohican barked, hitting his arm.

«Fine, fine.»

He stood and reached the players.

Someone handed him a dial to be used as a microphone.

You watched him taking a deep breath before starting.

Heat's voice was deep and steady, but somehow soft. And beautiful.

The pirates started to clap their hands, dance and sing along.

You turned to Kid with wide eyes.

«Holy shit!»

He burst in laughter at your face.

«They don't write this on our bounty posters, do they?» Wire said.

The Mohican jumped on his feet and walked around the table. When he got in front of you, he stretched his hand, a pirate grin spread on his face.

«May I have this dance, girl?»

You groaned, feeling the flush on your cheeks.

«Again?»

«What's the matter, [Y/n]?» Kid leaned on the table with a cheeky expression «Marines can't dance?»

You sustained his defiant look.

«Watch me, Eustass Kid.» you hissed, before taking the pirate's hand «Let's go, Mohican!»

«How many times do I have to tell you that I fucking got an actual name?»

He dragged you on the clear zone in front of the players and started to swing you around.

The rest of the crew loudly welcomed you back with shouts and cheers.

You didn't know if it was their enthusiasm, the alcohol or the nocturnal breeze. You just knew that it was extremely easy to follow Killer's groove and Heat's voice.

And, for some stupid reason, you couldn't stop smiling the entire time.

You found yourself dancing on your own and with dozens of different pirates, moving like you never moved before.

You felt the rhythm in your hips, in your legs, in your arms and every single muscle.

Whistles and coarse appreciations were flying all around you, but somehow you didn't mind.

«Shit, we got her really drunk this time.» someone said, triggering a laugh from you.

Booka grabbed your waist again, pulling your back against his torso, when some of the closest men stopped being chaotic and took a step back.

You turned to check what was going on and saw Kid's prosthetic hand on Booka's shoulder.

«My turn.»

The pirate let you go instantly, moving away.

Kid grasped the fabric of your dress and tugged you against his body, making you gasp.

«I think I've watched enough.»

You swallowed, heart speeding up, hands crawling on his bare chest.

The music changed, the rhythm becoming slower but equally intense.

And you knew whom to thank for it.

It's the drummer that decides it, after all.

You began to sway your hips along with the music, eyes glued on Kid's.

Surprisingly, he followed you.

His hand went on the small of your back to press you closer, so your movements could match perfectly.

New whistles and malicious shouts started to rise again from the crew.

Kid noticed the blush on your cheeks and bared his fangs in a devilish smirk.

Oh, really?

You rubbed your lower abdomen against his.

A crooked smile bent your mouth when you felt a movement down there.

Kid's nails dug into your arm before his flesh hand moved on your nape, grabbing your hair to pull you into a hungry kiss.

Your lips and tongue immediately answered, fighting the battle with fury.

His other hand slipped on your butt and squeezed, so your fingers clenched on his vest.

«WOOH, CAPTAIN!»

«GET A ROOM!»

«C'mon, have mercy on us!»

You chuckled in the kiss and Kid bit your lower lip, making you moan.

When he pulled back, a thin stream of saliva kept your mouths connected for a few seconds.

He didn't go far anyway, resting his forehead against yours and your small body totally enveloped in his grip.

Your burning breaths were mixing.

Heat started a new song.

«She thinks I've got a heart of stone

Because I left her all alone lonely tonight

She thinks I'm gonna break her heart

I tell her that I'm not, but maybe she's right»

Your arms laced around his neck as your eyes locked.

«She thinks I'm just an animal

She thinks I've thrown this thing we had into the fire

She tells me that I'll die alone

I tell her that I won't, but maybe she's right»

A weak smile appeared on your face.

«Where the hell did he learn these songs?» you whispered on his mouth.

«Who the fuck knows?»

His lips travelled from yours to your earlobe, leaving a path of light bites on your trembling skin.

«And I know I can't hold you like he does

I don't have those emotions in me»

Your breath became unsteady as you closed your eyes.

Kid's grip was too tight, and yet you dwelled into the warmness.

«And it's true, I can't love you like he does

But it's my kind of love»

You buried your face in his chest.

«It's a deeper love, it's a darker love»

Seriously, you thought Aokiji kept you safe before.

But.

Who the fuck could touch you, in Eustass Kid's arms?

You felt his touch on your hips and placed a gentle bite on his pectoral.

«Fuck this.» he grunted.

The next thing you knew was that he was throwing you over his shoulder, securing the grasp with his metallic arm.

«Wah, Kid!» you shouted, suddenly facing the wooden floor.

Laughter exploded all around you.

«Whaaat, are you going already, captain?»

«The night's still young!»

Kid snorted.

«See ya, losers!» he yelled, heading to his cabin.

«Hey, put me down! No one's asking for my opinion here??»

...which was totally agreeing with his, but what the hell, you had a character to maintain.

The redhead kicked the door open and quickly slammed it behind his back, throwing you on the bed.

You gasped and quickly stood, not wanting to be in such a vulnerable position so soon.

However, when you turned, you found a red beast towering over you.

The moment you saw his face, you realized there was nothing you could do to slow him down.

The thought made your inner organs flutter in a new wave of excitement.

Kid harshly grabbed your shoulders and turned your back to him, then he tore the dress apart with a angry tug.

A brief shout escaped your throat.

He grasped your chin from behind, the other hand hardly groping at your chest, pulling you against him.

«Sorry, birdie,» he hissed in your ear.

You could feel in his erection he was not sorry at all.

«you danced with all my men tonight, and some of them may have... thoughts now.» his shameless fingers toyed with your nipple «So I have to remind them who you belong to.»

His grip was not gentle at all, but you knew your excitement was already given out by the state of your underwear, and you weren't able to keep it a secret.

You swallowed before curling your lips in a smirk.

«And how do you plan to do that, Eustass Kid?»

He pressed his mouth on your ear.

«Making you scream. Long and loudly.»

He did.

You tried to muffle yourself at first, but Kid was merciless.

He took you from behind, then he ate you, then he smashed you to the wall.

After the second orgasm, you were still able to fight back, teasing his most sensitive parts with your fingers and your mouth, tasting his muscles and exploring his pale skin.

After the third one, not so much.

And yeah, you had no doubt every freaking man on that ship was now very aware of whom you got to spend the night with.

In the end, you felt you were going to fall asleep any second.

You dropped on his chest, breathing heavily, his muscles lifting and lowering almost at the same pace.

«You know what.» you panted, abandoning yourself.

«What.»

«Surviving this... I think I won the WG poll.»

The rumble of his laugh lulled you to sleep.

A/N: the lyrics Heat sings are from the song "My kind of love" by Leon Else. I wasn't imagining the song to be the same apart from the lyrics, but I picture Heat's voice to be like the one of the singer.
