Valintines Day

I remember how my brothers all freaked out on Valentine's Day. It was priceless. It had been a long hard day at work that day. As you can probably guess, there were a LOT of couples. A table for two here, an party for two there, it was madness. Or at least it was... Until Antoinette moved me to the bar tender position. Though I was only able to handle non-alcoholic drinks. So that's where most of the kids who were celebrating National Singles Awareness Day were sitting. I came across this one guy, he looked pretty down. He had blonde hair, a green shirt with yellow stripes, and yellow eyes. He was about my age too.

"Not in the mood for celebration, pal?" I asked. He shook his head. "Can I get you anything? A Shirley Temple? Fizzy water? Preferably something that doesn't require a drivers license or the handling of alcohol." I asked. He looked to me and smiled.

"Does this place have sparkling cider?" He asked. I nodded, and quickly grabbed a glass and some cider, and poured it in. Then I passed it to him. But he gave it to me. I looked at him confused. "Don't worry, I'll cover it. Just get me another."
I shrugged and grabbed another glass and poured it the same way. Then he smiled and held his glass out for me.

"Here's to being single?" He offered. I nodded and clinked his glass to mine.

Though I gave an unenthusiastic "Here, here." In reply, then gave it a sip.

"Long day?" He asked after a gulp or two. I snarked.

"You have no idea." I replied.

"I'm sorry but, are you trying to scare off all the couples in here or...?" He asked, obviously trying not to offend me about my face. I didn't realize it at first, but then I realized he was starring right at it.

"Oh... Heh... No.... This was an accident that happened a little while ago. But it does help with the situation doesn't it?" I asked. He chuckled.

"I think it's cool. I like your different color eyes too. Orange and Blue. Are they contacts or eye tattoos?" He asked. I laughed and shook my head.

"Sadly no, these are my real eyes. Can't take them off or put different ones on. These are natural." I replied.

"Sadly?" He asked. "What's wrong with them?"

I sighed.

"It's complicated." I explained.

"I don't see anything wrong with them? Other then the fact that they are enchanting." He replied.

"What are you? An eye doctor?" I asked.

"No. Just a kid willing to accept anyone for who they are. Speaking of which, I don't believe I caught your name." He replied. I rolled my eyes.

"Capri. My brothers call me Cap, or Cappy. Nice to meet you." I replied. He held out his hand to shake.

"Asriel. Likewise." He explained, as I shook his hand. "There aren't many other kids around here, you know?"

"Yeah. But I can see why. The weather is pretty dull for outsiders. Let alone kids." I replied.

"Do you like it?" He asked. I nodded. "Yeah I like it here too. I especially enjoy walks out here."
I smirked. Soon he finished his glass and then paid for both the glasses and gave me a tip. "And who knows. Maybe I'll see you sometime, if you're interested?" Asriel stated. Though it sounded more like a question.

"Yeah I think I'd like that. Have a Happy Valentines Day, Asriel." I replied. He smiled.

"You too, Capri." He stated, then walked out the door. Antoinette then walked up to me, and grabbed my arm.

"What the heck are you doing?! That boy was obviously into you! You can't just let him get away!" Antoinette whisper hissed.

"Easy there blowtorch, I'm still working, remember?" I asked, noticing that she did look like a human match when she was like this. (A/N: if anyone saw what I did there, I'm going to laugh.)Then she smirked.

"Not anymore! It's Valentines Day, go enjoy yourself. Now go get changed and find that boy!" Antoinette replied, shoving me into her office and through the back door into the giant bathroom. I smiled, got changed quickly, and rushed back to Antoinette.

"Thanks Antoinette." I announced and then rushed out the front door without another moments hesitation. I looked for Asriel. I saw him a little ways away and sprinted after him. "Hey Asriel!" I shouted, which turned him around. He smirked and waited for me to catch up. "I just got off. I'd like that walk now." I explained. He laughed, and together we walked down the trail that lead to my house and, surprisingly his house as well. As we walked we talked about our favorite colors and what time of year we liked the most. That was until we got close enough to my house, where my brothers could hear my laughter and conversation. I approached the walk way with Asriel and immediately, my brothers (and surprisingly, even Ink and Error) reacted by lifting him into the air, and probably scaring him for life.

"Guys! What are you doing! Put him down!" I yelled. I probably should have been the first one to approach the door, and not Asriel... But what can I say, he's a fast walker.

"Cap. Who the heck is this?!" Sans asked.

"That's Asriel. I met him today at work." I replied nonchalantly. My brothers and friends eyed me curiously. "Relax, his home is on the way here."

Finally, after a few more moments of inspection, everyone set Asriel down on the ground.

"Sorry about my brothers. They are very over protective." I explained, helping him up.

"It's okay. My mom is the same way. And hey, at least I know where you get, that, from." Asriel replied, nodded to my face again. I nodded with a smirk.

"Thanks for walking with me Asriel. I'll see you later." I announced.

"You want to walk again tomorrow?" Asriel asked. I could literally hear my brothers jaw bones hit the snow. I smiled.

"Sure. Tomorrow." I replied. Asriel smiled and walked down the trail a little then waved and disappeared up the trail. It took a moment for my brothers to regain their composure.

"Cap. Who was that?" Sans asked.

"Asriel, as I told you before. I met him today at work." I replied.

"And you just, let him walk you home."

"Uh yeah. It was the kind thing to do considering what today is."

"And today is...?"

"Valentines Day." I replied. My brothers shut up. "Yeah. That's what I thought." It was a few moments before anyone spoke again.

"Cap. I forbid you to go out with him." Sans announced seriously. I snickered.

"Oh brother."

And that was just the start of a long journey with Asriel.
