Instruction
"Welcome back, Cap, did you bring what I requested?" Ink asked as I materialized into the void.
"Yeah. Here. One watch, three Phillips head screw drivers, a surgical needle, a glove, superglue, Duct tape, and... The smallest motherboard circuit I could find. " I replied, pulling each out of my bag and pockets as I said them. "What do you need these for again?" I asked.
"You, Error and I are opening the void today, and were going to come to your timeline." Ink explained, starting to tinker with the parts that I brought. "To do that we are going to be using little pricks of your blood, because here, it's powerful enough for you to make a portal on your own. If I don't recall, you said that your eyes were glowing neon after the first time that you tried to maintain a stable portal, correct?" Ink asked.
"Yeah." I replied.
"Well this will prevent that from happening. Glowing eyes drain power. And that can make you user start to develop a mania. This will cut off power as soon as your done with it and maintain a strong portal while you're using it." Ink explained. I smirked.
"When did you become a physics wiz?" I asked.
"I've been in the Gasterfell timeline for a little while, talking to GSand GP about our plan. They told me to give a try, and so... Here I am." Ink explained. I shook my head.
"Just how many timelines are there?" I asked.
"Including mine, yours and Errors, I count 14 that I know of. But considering all of the puppets Errors had, I'd think that there are 100's" Ink replied.
"100's?!" I asked.
"Depending on the fallen humans actions and decisions, there are multiple timelines, one for each out come. Pacifist, Genocide, Neutral, Semi-neutral, Semi-Pacifist, Semi-Genocide, I could go on and on. The point is, there are hundreds of outcomes for every choice they make." Ink explained. I nodded. Error and Ink have mentioned Frisk/Chara before. I've met both too, nearly died from Chara, but, I had both Error and Ink looking out for me, so that time I got lucky.
"That makes sense." I replied. Ink nodded and continued to tinker.
"H-h-hey Cap, what took you so long?" Appeared a voice. I smiled and turned to face him.
"Hey Error. My brothers. I let something slip out of my mouth, and they were concerned." I explained. "Poor Blue thought I was running away again."
Error hooked an arm around my neck and looked to Ink.
"A-a-and I assume that's the Gaster Gismo that will bring us to your t-t-timeline?" Error asked. I nodded. "Looks a little low t-t-t-tech."
"GS said we'd only need these parts, nothing more, nothing less." Ink replied. Error rolled his eyes.
"Okay. I-I-if you say so. I'm taking C-C-Cap to get some nice cream, we'll be back." Error announced, nuzzles his face into the side of mine, which made me laugh.
"Have fun." Ink told us.
"Count on it!" I replied, still laughing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I stayed by Errors side the entire way to the nice cream stand. I didn't know my way, but Error did, and that made me few a little more safe.
"Y-y-you know... I used to have a brother." Error started. "Error Papyrus. Yeah he was the g-g-greatest."
I stuck my hands into my pockets and looked to Error. Error rehooked his arm around my neck and looked to the ground.
"But... O-o-one day... A glitch... A sans that was supposed to be dead... H-h-h-he killed Papyrus. And... The glitch just... L-l-left Papyrus there. And from that day on, I swore to rid the Mulitverse of glitches. A-a-and then I met you. I thought you were a glitch all the same as the others. But I had never met a human Sans or Papyrus before. The only th-things that could make to the void were monsters. Not just any monsters, monsters with Sans and Papyrus background. But y-y-you were human. It didn't a-a-add up. I thought I c-c-could use you to my advantage. B-b-but after the first time I controlled you, I-I-I realized you weren't actually here. You were just a mental visualization. Which is why Y-Y-You were never fully under my control till Stage 5. And... I... I'm sorry I ever put you th-th-through that." Error announced. I looked at him and then gave him a hug.
"I forgive you." I replied. And from there it was silent. We got our nice cream, and traveled back to the void. When Error and I got back, Ink had finished.
"Oh great! You're back. Here, put this on." Ink told me. I nodded. "Now I'm going to give you this paper, it has the instructions on how to open the portal for us. Follow the directions EXACTLY and we should be there shortly. I'm going to send you back now okay?" Ink asked. I looked to Error.
"Um. Give me a sec." I replied. I gave Error the biggest hug I could and then stepped back. "I'll see you soon okay?" I asked. Error nodded. I then gave Ink a hug and nodded. "Okay now I'm ready." I announced with a smile.
"Remember, follow the instructions, EXACTLY." Ink reminded. I nodded. And just like that I was back in my bedroom with the glove on my hand and the instructions in the other.
