⏩Chapter 6⏪
"I know, you are right..."
"Yes, yes, don't scold me"
"I'm sorry, I told you"
"I think he does actually"
Yoongi heard a well-known voice scratch his ears, as he almost passed without care the wooden door in the hallway. It wasn't exactly the thing he wanted to hear in that day.
It's been almost three weeks since the scene he had with Jimin. When they met to get his bike back, on the beach. After that...both of them were avoiding eachother like plague. Jimin not so much but Yoongi sure did everything he could not to meet him.
"I can't do it"
"Oh, you're so sweet, I wonder why they keep you here alone"
Curiosity made him stop and steal a glance into the room. The powerful light coming from inside was too contrasting for the hallway and not good for the grey haired who barely knew what 'sunlight' meant.
The voice was coming from the restaurant's bathroom. Yoongi was more curious than a cat. Who was Jimin speaking with...
"You don't have to worry, since I work here now..."
A slight pause followed by a long sigh came from the boy speaking.
"I will take care of you."

As Yoongi was starting to get a weird feeling, he slightly pushed the door open, just to get a clearer view, creating enough space to see.
'Seriously, who are you talking with, it's annoying', Yoongi thought.
But to his surprise he didn't see anyone, beside the brown haired.
There was, in the bathroom, Jimin speaking with...a flower in a glass??
Yooongi's mouth fell agape and his hands slid away from the door, one foot already going back as he continued to stare.
"There you go, I think that's enough water for you", he said softly as the placed the small bouqet into the glass and then onto a corner of the sink.
"I'm careful, shut up", he scrunched up his face while arranging a few leaves.
Yoongi took again one step back, soon followed by more as he saw the other ready to turn and exit the bathroom.
He didn't get to react in time, as Jimin almost bumped into him as he got out. The younger had a confused expression while Yoongi's mind was blank for a second. He couldn't just meet him like that.
"Something wrong, hyung?"
"Uh, um- No"
Jimin's expression was puzzeled at the others not so confident tone, both of them still, while Yoongi was glued to the wall in front of the bathroom door.
"What took you so long, there are others who need to pee in this house too."
And his cold attitude was back again. A complete opposite the the one he had miliseconds ago. It was just like a big and complex system of computer servers malfuction for seconds, catastrophic but then going back to his old self like switching a gear while driving.
Yoongi just ignored him as he went into the bathroom, shoulder intentionally hitting Jimin. Soon the door closed with force.
Jimin was still in the hall. 'Did he see...? What if-'
A smal ding intrerupted his thoughts. More quickly followed. He fished for his phone from the poket of his dark blue jeans. His finger slid over the screen. Suddenly his heart started pouding seeing the messages, no other thing in his mind.

"Hobi-"
Jimin blinked a few times to make sure he wasn't seeing things. Hoseok just messaged him, no doubt. After not hearing a thing from him for almost a month. He didn't came to school either, he wasn't answering his calls or his messages. The brown haired thought he lost his friend. Or maybe he thought that Hoseok moved, or maybe he got tired of him. Everytime, the worst scenarios played in his head. And now..
His hands were shaking with emotions as, without thinking, he typed his response.

The boy rushed downstairs, feet heavy against the floor, eyes searching for his fluffy and comfy hoodie, perfect for the chilly weather of november. He wished he had something else though.
"This place is starting to look better and better!", Jin clapped his hands happy, a big smile covering half of his face.
"Don't be this happy, we still have a lot of work to do, hyung", Namjoon patted him on the back.
Jimin didn't even spare them a glance as he still was searching for his hodie, walking like thunder in a storm around the seats in the restaurant.
Namjoon lifted his eyes from his laptop as he saw the distressed male acidentally hit his hip in the corner of a table. A small grunt escaped Jimin's lips.
"What's the rush?", he asked lifting his glasses with one hand, looking interested. Jimin was usually calm and doing chores as Jin was instructing. That desperate look on his face was not suiting him.
"I can't find it, ugh, where is that little shit-"
"Jimin."
The stern voice made him look up and stop his actions.
"What is going on?", Jin asked, looking straight into his dark orbs, without blinking. 'You can't cuss, little brat-'
"Have you seen my hodie by any chance, hyungs. I left it here", he pointed to a seat on a small table.
"Oh that? I put it in the washing machine, seriously it was really dirty, how could you even walk in that", Jin crossed his arms.
Jimin sighed soundly and turned on his heels ready to leave.
"Wait! Where do you think you're going? Your shift is not over."
Jimin didn't want to get his hyungs in his business. They had their own issues. Also, he couldn't just be rude to them. They helped him so much...
Jimin remembered how tired he would come from school and start doing what Jin was telling him because there was so much to change in that restaurant. How Namjoon would help him with homework sometimes, after his working program ended. How Jin would feed him when he would drool over the tasty food he cooked.
It felt like...family sometimes. Yes, Jimin would consider himself being crazy for feeling all of those things for strangers. Even if he still couldn't befriend Yoongi. The younger knew about him. Namjoon and Seokjin actually took the time to apologize for any bad behaviour the grey haired had towards him. And after telling him about his breakdown he had three weeks ago, Jimin felt like he could underastand Yoongi better.
He started to grow attatched to them. His hyungs treated him almost how parents would treat a child and that feeling made him feel warm inside. Jimin still wondered why they were so nice with him, they didn't exactly knew too much about his life...and sure they wouldn't be happy to hear about his secrets, his habbits...
Being brought back to reality, the boy glanced at the clock on the wall from the left side of the restaurant and read '5:23 PM'.
'It's about Hobi, I have to', he thought.
With that, he just opened the glass door and ran outside. Little thing Jimin knew that Yoongi saw everything. Soon, another figure ran out after him, leaving two 'hyungs' to question again what was wrong with everybody.
Jimin was running on the streets due to being reckless and not taking any money with him. All of those were left in his hoodie wich now was in the washing machine. And of course he didn't think in asking his hyungs for some. Himself wondered how stupid he could be sometimes. He would ocasionally bump into people wich seemed to be as busy as him. This time the boy would not even mutter an apology, he had to reach his friend.
He was the type to gather a lot of bad luck. And his bad luck didn't stop there since Hiseok lived pretty far and how cliche it had to be for the weather not be good. It was freezing.
On the other hand, Yoongi was trying to keep up with him. He was getting far and his energy already running low. Quick fogged breaths leaving his mouth.
"Jimin, stop!", his loud voice made him get a few disturbed glances. The said boy stopped and looked back with confusion plastered on his face. His lips formed a thin line when he saw the grey haired.
That stop allowed Yoongi to catch up. "You are not getting anywhere like this. Come on, i'll drive you", he said as he dragged him back by the sleeve.
"What? Are you even serious?? It's none of your buisness", Jimin tried to get himself free from the death grip. As fragile Yoongi seemed to be, his grip was firece. "Let me go-"
"Yah, I swear, you're such a drama queen. Shut up and walk, people are staring and I don't like attention"
Jimin didn't knew what suddenly made him obey so easy. Maybe it was the firm and strong tone laced with something scary wich he didn't want to upset.
He let himself being dragged back to the restaurant where they got in the car parked in front.
From inside Namjoon caught a glimpse of them when he heard the some doors being closed with anger and a car's engine start.
"Hey, look! They're back-", he said looking trough the glass door. Soon their car drove off in a concerning manner.
"Aaaaand now they left, great...", he dropped his hand on the table, movement wich caused a glass bowl with peanuts fall on the ground and shatter.
"Namjoon- I swear to God-"
"It was an accident!"
⏪⏸⏩
Both of them went silent after Jimin told Yoongi the adress. The younger would ocasionally steal glances while the other was carefully turning the steering wheel. Of course, the camera was on the backseat and it would hurt Yoongi's pride to addmit that he didn't felt bad for taking it off. It would not be comfortable while driving. This was one of the few moments, when he had to take it off beside while sleeping or washing himself.
Both of them didn't know why they got into this situation. Or how.
Jimin was really nervous, silently playing with the hem of his shirt while looking down. Also really concerned about Hoseok and his mind wasn't helping, only creating the worst scenarios. The brown haired didn't have time to think about why was Yoongi actually helping him.
On the other side, Yoongi didn't knew that either. But back at the restaurant, the distressed expression Jimin had while speaking about his friend, triggered something inside him. He knew that feeling too well. No matter how arogant he was, he wouldn't accept anyone to go trough that.
Maybe both of them were too clueless about what feelings have developed in these three weeks of avoiding and grunting 'Have a nice day' to eachoter.
Yoongi couldn't deny the fact that he watched Jimin when he cleaned up around the restaurant. When he painted with Jin the walls in the color he suggested. Baby blue... Or when Namjoon actually spilled paint on Jimin and he just laughed. That smile. How his eyes would turn into two crescents and his cheeks would puff, making them look bigger and softer. How his plump lips would curl, showing his white pearl teeth. How good that smile looked on his face. All the small habbits Jimin had while be was concentrated-
"This is the house"

Yoongi didn't realise they arrived as he pressed down the brake, car stopping abruptly. Jimin opened the door and jumped out, moving fast on the small alley and going to the entrance of the house. 'It looks cozy', the older thought as he turned the key, stopping the engine. He got out aswell following Jimin. Not before grabbing the camera and putting it around his neck.
Jimin was knocking pretty harsh on the door.
"Wait, what are you doing here?", the brown haired turned when he felt Yoongi's presence behind him.
"I brought you here, obviously"
"Thank you for bringing me, you really saved me, but now you can go back-"
The door swung open revealing an unkown male to Yoongi's eyes. The boy had a striking orange colour plastered on his hair. His eyes were swollen and his nose red.
"Jimin?"
The brown haired engfuled Hoseok with a hug, burying his head into his neck, holding him tight.
"What happened to you!? Where have you been all this time!"
Hoseok felt a heavy rock of pain and guilt as he hugged back his dear best friend. Soon both of them were crying over eachoter, tears everywhere.
Yoongi couldn't help but stare awkwardly, as he felt like the third wheel. He scratched the back of his neck as the two were still hugging in the door frame. Soon enough he coughed hard and forced. It catched their attention and they stopped.
"Right-um. Let's go inside", Hoseok dragged both by their wrists, door closing after them.
Yoongi was sitting on a couch, while Jimin and the orange blob were sitting legs crossed on a green carpet. Each had a mug with hot chocolate wich Hoseok insisted on drinking. The grey haired held the mug tight looking past the other two. He really felt like he had snakes under his skin and the boy just wanted to be somewhere else at that moment. Anywhere else.
The weird feeling he got in his stomach everytime the orange haired would hold Jimin. That happy smile again, the little giggles, his concerned face for the intruder.
"I went to an audition and sadly that was in another city.."
"But you could've just called! Tell me you're okay, at least a message! Do you have any idea how worried I was?", Jimin intrerruped.
"I know...i'm sorry, it's just..let me finish", Hoseok quickly continued and Yoongi smelled something strange wich Jimin was not catching on.
"And then they accepted me into their dancing programme and I will start as soon as possible.."
"And they had this nice studio and even the dorms were incredibly styled, they showed me"
"But all of those things are on...on another continent"
"I'll have to move away", Hoseok's voice trailed off.
"Move away??!", Jimin almost screamed, making Yoongi flinch.
"What do you mean 'move away'?? Hobi..you can't...", he continued, still loud.
"Jimin..it's my dream, it's everything.", the orange haired put his hands on Jimin's shoulders.
"B- But I don't have anyone else", Jimin said in silence, almost inaudible.
But that sentence hit Yoongi worse than a brick in the head. Like hearing a gun and then realise you are the one who has been shot. He had the imbold to just get up and break everything around.
'I'm so sick of this shit.', his mind chanted.
The only thing keeping the grey haired there was the fact that he had no idea how to turn back home. The way to the blob's house was worse than a maze for him. The boy needed Jimin's directions, even if he didn't want to admit it. Untill then, he was stuck in that hell.
"Now I need time to prepare-"
"What d-do you mean with that", Jimin looked at him with sad puppy eyes as Hoseok got up, an empty mug in his right hand.
"I'm leaving tommorrow", he took a pause as he rearranged his words.
"First hour in the morning. I'm sorry Jiminie. I just can't miss this one."
Jimin just felt like his world crumbled down and then a giant stepped on it like stepping on grass. He stood up abruptly and hugged Hoseok extremely tight. The younger felt tears gather in his eyes, soon flowing down his face. As Hoseok was about to return the hug, Jimin pushed his hands off.
"I can't see you when you leave", he said quickly as he went to the front door, leaving Yoongi there.
"I didn't want it to be like this", he sighed, looking now to Yoongi, who never felt more uneasy in his life.
"Are you, um...his friend? Can you please tell him that i'm really sorry..."
"It's none of my business", Yoongi got up from the couch, only to be grabbed by his shoulder.
"Please", he looked into his sincere and teary eyes making his insides turn around with guilt. Yoongi gulped.
"I just don't want to end our childhood friendship like this"
'Childhood friendship?', somehow, the grey haired felt way more easier.
"Uh- Fine.. I promise. Good luck out there". With that, he left, leaving the orange haired alone. No more words. Just the night that was already covering the city and the cold air punishing their skin, doors being slammed and and the dull roaring of the car's engine.
Hoseok watched from his door, untill they became a small point into the distance and smiled sadly.

Little thing they knew that almost everything Hoseok said was a lie.
They were too naive...
He was too naive to notice.
