(Lucy POV)

We were flying back after the Christmas celebration and I was happy that we all had a good time at the gathering. I was worried when Laxus pulled Guildarts over to talk to Acnologia, but it turned out well in the end. As we flew back to Magnolia, I remembered something that Acnologia talked to me about.

Flashback

"Lucy!" I heard Acnologia call me, I turned around to face him, I was wrapped up in some Vulcan fur and eating some venison when he called me.

"Yes?" I asked him.

"Can I talk to you about something that I found in my territory?" He asked me, I nodded my head and got up and followed him, stirring Natsu, who I was laying on at the time. I told him to go back to sleep, and pointed at Acnologia to show him where I was going. I followed the dark dragon until we were a distance away from the group.

"What is it that you wanted to talk about?" I asked him.

"I found something in my territory or really someone, a human mage," he started to tell me, "They had a burn mark on their chest so I figured that they were hurt, so I took them to my nest so that I could treat them."

"Does Igneel know about them?" I asked him, I didn't want Acnologia to get in trouble for letting a human into their territory.

"Yes, they were unconscious when I took them to my nest and I only showed myself in human form to them when they were awake," Acnologia told me.

"Then what is it that I need to know about them?" I asked curious about how this concerns me.

"They knew your name, in their sleep they keep saying your and your packs names," he told me, this got me curious.

"What do they look like?" I asked the dark dragon.

"When I asked, she called herself, Flare," he told me, my eyes widened.

"She is a friend, she helped my pack when we were imprisoned by those humans, she was misguided and wanted to escape the guild she was in but was afraid of her master, Ivan," I told him.

"Do you want me to send her to you?" He asked me and I nodded my head.

"Yes, send her to us, when she is healthy, directly to the den," I told him.

"Why directly to the den?" He asked, most dragons keep the location of their dens secret and have guests sent outside of the den so that the dragons of the pack and guide them to the den.

"She is a friend of us, but her old master not so much of us or Fairy Tail," I told him and he nodded his head and that when our conversation ended.

Flashback End

I had told Natsu and the other members of the pack about our soon to be visitor and they were thrilled at the news of our old friend's arrival.

Time skip to a few days later

(Flare POV)

I woke up to see the blue haired man from before, I knew he couldn't be human, based on his appearance. He had two black blade-like horns on his head, a pair of wings under his cloak, and a tail trailing behind him, then there were the claws on his hands and feet.

"Hello," I greeted him, I never knew his name and he never told me.

"Come," he told me gesturing for me to follow him and I did. We had walked to the outside of the cave that he had placed me in and he held his hand out to stop me. I realized that this man lived on a cliff.

'How did he get me up here?' I thought to myself, I turned to ask him only to see that he was gone and then I felt a blast of cold air and looked in front of me to see the dragon Acnologia. I was afraid then I saw that the horns that the man had on his head matched the ones on the dragon's.

"You were Acnologia?" I whispered and he nodded his head, surprising me that he heard my questions.

"Lucy says that she wants you to come to her pack's den," he told me in a growling voice, it was hard for me to understand at first so he had to repeat it a few times.

"How am I going to get to her?" I asked him, still getting over the fact that I was nursed back to health by the Dragon of the Apocalypse. To answer my question, I heard a loud roar and a black Blizzardvern flew over to us. The Blizzardvern and Acnologia talked for a minute or two and then Acnologia gestured to me to get on the Blizzardvern and climbed onto the creature.

"Hold on tight," were the last words I heard from the dragon before the Blizzardvern took off.

(Lucy POV)

I looked up at the sky at the den, waiting for Acnologia's Blizzardvern to land with the rest of the pack. When I started to see the black beast, I got up and looked at the beast as it landed.

"FLARE!" I cried as the red-haired woman got off the Blizzardvern, when she was on the ground Wendy and I ran up and gave her a hug, Wendy was in human form, so Flare was shocked me the little dragon hugged her.

"How are you, Flare," I asked her.

"Getting over the fact that I was nursed back to health by Acnologia, how do you know him by the way," Flare asked me.

"He is part of the parent pack, the main pack," I told her.

"So, there is a pack that you follow?" Flare asked.

"No, that is where most of the dragons of this pack were born," I told her, "It is also the head pack, when it is time for mating season, all the dragon packs in the dragon clan head to the den of the parent pack and well the rest is self-explanatory," I continued, I didn't want to have to explain this to Flare with Wendy in hearing range.

"What's mating season?" Wendy asked me and I looked at her with her looking at me with those innocent eyes.

"Ask Gajeel," I told her, and she nodded her head, knowing that Gajeel wouldn't tell her anyway.

"So, when is it?" Flare asked me.

"It happens every five years or so, a dragon isn't affected until they are fully matured," I told her, leaving as many details as I could, Wendy was still in hearing distance. "So, the next one is going to happen this summer."

"So do you have to worry about other dragons attacking your territory when you are all gone," Flare asked me.

"It is very disrespectful first of all, and two this happens to all dragons at the same time," I told her.

"So where am I going to sleep," Flare asked me and I pointed at the nest that was beside Laxus's nest.

"Why were you in Zonia anyway?" I asked Flare and I was answered only by silence. I turned around to see the fire mage looking at me wide eyed.

"Raven Tail, Ivan wants you all dead, he is going to come find you and try to get rid of you," she told me frantically.

"It is fine," I told her, "He has to deal with the powers that he gave us when he experimented on my pack, my spirits, and on me, and then he has to deal with Fairy Tail."

"Will that be enough?" Flare asked and I gave her an innocent smile, that was almost overshadowed by the dark aura I was emitting.

"Well, if they try to kill us, then they have to deal with all the dragons of the Fire Dragon King Clan, they survived because Igneel didn't know about them before but they do know and dragons are not very forgiving to those that try to slaughter their children."
