(Lucy POV)

It has been almost a week since we came to Magnolia, and the only one of us to head to the Fairy Tail guild was Laxus. 

We have been busy with building our dens. Gajeel, after recovering from me fixing his wings, has been digging out his den. Metal dragons of all types like to live in the ground, it is closer to their food source. He had been using his iron pillars to support the large burrow. Gajeel was a large dragon, roughly half as tall as the Fairy Tail guild in the forest. Yeah, apparently the guild had two guildhalls, the main one, and the wooden shack of a guildhall that they use when major renovations or repairs are being made to the main guild hall which is quite often from what I hear.

 When I checked on how progress on his den was going, he had finished the main room of the den, the one where he sleeps in, and he was working on the mate's own room, the mates of dragons tend to have their own space but they usual sleep in the same room of the dragon, and the food storage rooms. Wendy was working on her den as well, I told her that it had to be somewhere where I could reach, with the help of Natsu, my spirits or the Exceeds, so she made her den in between four tall trees, with plenty of intertwining branches. Her nest was shaped a bit like a bird's nest, except for the dome that was made of her feathers and many large branches, it had an open space no other defined rooms, but there were a few balcony-like platforms outside of the nest, with hanging bridges connecting them together. Sky dragons always have a messy bird nest structure to their dens, but they were neat on inside, they make their dens in high areas so that they can be closer to their food and so they can feel the wind. 

Cobra made his den in, and I don't know how he found one in this forest, a swamp, poison dragons love swamps, I don't know why they just do. He made a hut for Kinana and he made a burrow in the swampy waters, I didn't go there to see this, I had Kinana take pictures, his burrow was made up of leaves and mud, it would look like a mess to someone who had never seen a poison dragon nest, it made a bowl like shape when the construction was complete. 

For Rouge's den it was in the cave, a dark damp cave, he didn't really do anything with the den once he found the cave beside make a bed from animal skins. While Sting's den was the complete opposite of Rouge, it was in an open clearing where the sun was always in, and he used his feathers and hair along with multiple other things from the surrounding nature, to make a nest. 

For Natsu's and my nest, he built ours in the center of all of the other nests, Natsu knew where the nest would go based off of instincts. It was a dome structure it had an opening at the top that let light through the roof, there was a pad of animal skins for me, outside of the den there was a hut that we rebuilt for me to have room of any books that I wanted and a space for me to continue writing my books. There was a lot of space in the hut so we also decided to use it as a meeting room for the pack. Finally, we come to Laxus's den, he made his nest closes to the nest for the guests, he got iron pillars from Gajeel to use as lightning rods, and other than there being metal rods coming out of it looks almost exactly like the other nests for guests, and that there is a small space for his mate. 

We were still making adjustments to the nest, like getting wood for making fire for Natsu and other things for the nest, but we were almost done with the den, but Laxus had already gone to Fairy Tail so he wasn't helping us. He better come back with poison for Cobra, for skipping out on finishing the den, again.

(Laxus POV)

I had left the town hall, after getting the mayor to let me buy poison for Cobra without the authorities getting mad, so Lucy won't Lucy kick me into outer space. I then walked over to the Fairy Tail guild, and entered the guild.

"Laxus, welcome back," Mira told me, and I walked over to the bar.

"Hi, Mira," I told her and I sat down.

"So, where are your other pack members?" Levy asked me.

"Finishing the den," I told her.

"So, when is Gajeel coming?" Levy asked me, I internally smirked.

"He will be coming back after the den is finished," I told her, how is it that this tiny girl is Gajeel's mate.

"So can we come and see your den," Gramps asked me.

"I can't let you see it unless Natsu or Lucy lets me," I told him.

"Why do you listen to that idiot?" Gray asked me.

"Well, Natsu isn't a complete idiot, he can be smart, some of the time, plus if he didn't let me into his pack, I probably would have died," I explained him, then I added, "And he is the pack leader."

"How do you decide who is pack leader?" Gramps asked me.

"I am not sure, usually it is by succession, Natsu is Igneel's son so he is going to be the next leader so this is training for him, but that is how this pack works, but if I challenged Natsu or someone else did for leadership then they will fight, and the winner is the next leader, but that only happens a lot in packs and clans that are disorganized, which the Fire King Clan is not," I told him reciting the words that Lucy told me when she was explaining it to me soon after I joined the pack.

"So, it is complicated," Levy said, I nodded my head in agreement.

"Very," I said, "If you really want to know more you are going to have to ask Lucy, she knows more about it than I do."

"So how are your other pack members doing?" Levy asked me.

"Wendy finished her nest, Lucy made a restriction on where she can place it, it had to be low enough that her spirits could reach it, and Sting and Rouge's nest are polar opposites, Rouge's is in a dark cave and Sting's is in the brightest clearing he could find," I told them with a small laugh.

"And what about Kinana and Cobra," Mira asked me, I answered it with a laugh.

"Believe it or not he found himself a swamp to live in," I told her.

"A swamp?" Mira questioned.

"Poison dragons love swamps, don't ask me why but they do," I told her, still laughing.

"Can you tell me about them?" Levy asked me, "The other dragons, I mean."

"What do you want to know?" I asked her, she thought about it for a moment.

"Tell me about Wendy's family," she answered.

"Well, I only know her mother and her aunt, never met her dad but Grandneeney, Wendy's mom, told me that he was where Wendy's blue feathers came from," I told her.

"What colors do they come in?" Levy asked, her eyes had the same look Wendy's got when I told her about my life, before I got my dragon lacrima, filled with curiosity.

"Well, Grandneeney is completely white, but like I told you her father was blue, and Wendy's aunt is pink. I never really asked, but I think that's all the colors sky dragons come in," I told the curious girl.

"What about the other dragons, are there any differences between their parents," Levy asked me.

"Well, I heard from Igneel that Natsu's mom was a lightning dragon, but he took after his dad but Natsu can use lightning magic when he wants to, Gajeel's mom was a shadow dragon, like Rouge, same situation as Natsu takes after his dad," I told her, "Never met either of them though, Sting and Rouge are cousins, so their moms are a shadow dragon and a holy dragon, met them once, I swore I was looking in a mirror when I saw them."

"How come you never met their parents?" Levy asked me.

"The Fire King Clan controls a large amount of territory, so Natsu's mom is busy watching her piece of the territory same with the other dragons, at least that is what Igneel told me when I asked him," I told her, I never knew why I didn't ever meet the other dragons' parents but I didn't care, Igneel was nice to me, so were the other dragons of the parent pack. But I couldn't help but not trust anyone outside of my pack so I didn't really want to know anymore dragons other than the ones of my pack.

"So, what about Cobra, what is his story?" Levy asked me.

"I don't really know, the only thing that I do know is that Cobra didn't even know that he was an artificial dragon until Natsu and Lucy told him, and that reminds me, I need to get some poison for Cobra as a peace offering," I told the girl.

"Peace offering?" Mira asked.

"I skipped out on helping finish the den so I need to get poison for Cobra since it is harder to get poison than it is to get anything else we eat so I am going to get some so Lucy doesn't get mad at me," I told them then I ran out of the guildhall to the closest store that sold poison.
