AUGUST'S POV

"I told you Noah to drop me in the midnight itself, it's already afternoon now, how i am gonna sneak back in my house wearing your hoodie" i rambled.

"babe, why are you scared now, look your witchy step sisters have already left the house, that bitch Melany wouldn't torment you anymore since her ugly daughters have finally gotten married and i am so sure that your dad must have already gone for another business trip." he said and i knew what he was saying could possible be true but still i was scared shitless.

Melany has always hated me because she considered my mom to be her home wrecker but it was dad who had destroyed their family, my mom wasn't even aware about dad being a married man.

Ever since my mom passed away and i got here, Melany and her daughters have always hated me, i don't understand why. Neither it wasn't my fault nor my mother's, if someone was supposed to be blamed and hated was dad.

"helloooo, earth to Cindrella" i was snapped back to reality when Noah snapped his fingers at me.

"I hope what you said is true and i don't have to face another rough day" he took my hand in his and gently squeezed it before pulling me into a loving hug, full of warmth...his arms were my safe haven.

"Just say that you wanna run away, I'll take you right away with me. We will leave this place forever" i hugged him back tightly. I also wanted to be with him but it was not possible yet.

"You know why we can't, you are still studying Noah, i am still 17, i don't want you to get into any sort of trouble. You know if Melany got to know about us she could possibly take this as an excuse to stop me from getting graduated. This year is really important for me, once I pass my final year, I will be able to apply for a scholarship in your university and after that I promise that I won't even leave you for a second. Let's wait one more year and then we can live happily ever after" i pinched his cheeks as he kept looking me with his puppy face.

"promise?" the way he said that had my heart melting all over again. How could this one guy make me fall for him all over again and again.

"promise" I smiled and kissed his lips.

"now, hurry up and go before i change my mind and kidnap you" he tried making a dead ass serious face but it only made me laugh at his cute tactics.

"haha, babe...you can't pull that off. Okies, see ya tomorrow" i kissed his cheek and waved him a bye.

He smiled back and left after he saw me getting inside my mansion gates.

As soon as I turned back to face the mansion, I took a deep breath and walked towards the backdoor. 

I looked here and there, with years of practicing, I finally became a master in sneaking out and back in. I slowly tried to unlock the backdoor when I saw the guard moving away from there. But fuck it was locked, I should have been so overconfident about myself. Now the only option was to go through the main door.

Please let me get to my room without any problems god, and it was confirmed that today was definitely not my day.

As soon as i entered, i knew i was in deep shit. There was the whole Willson family and Rivera family having lunch together. Why in the world the backdoor had to be closed today.

I decided to still secretly go to any other room but my luck again, Mrs. Rivera had seen me.

"oh my my look who is here, our prettiest doll" i tried to not cringe at her words. She walked towards me and gave me a hug.

"ohh, that's a nice perfume...but it's men's isn't it" she chuckled making me gulp down in fear.

"I-I actually went to hang out at my friend's place and while eating i ruined my dress so my friend gave me her brother's hoodie"i came up with the fastest lie i possibly  could.

She made a dramatic ohhh face before making a devilish curious face again.

"but didn't your friend had her own clothes to lend you" i gulped again. What's wrong with this woman, who is she to ask me all these questions. Wasn't Melany and her daughters enough that now I have another bitch in my life. 

"her clothes doesn't fit me well" i said so close to roll my eyes too but I pretended to be really polite.

"hmmm, anyways, come let's have lunch, we were just about to start and you came about the right time darling" she smiled and dragged me to the dinning table.

I saw how everyone was looking at me, my eyes met Melany's and in fear i hurriedly looked down.

I had to sit beside Shylah's husband who was already looking at me with a murderous glare.

I am so freaking done. Now what in the world is wrong with him. I am so tired of dealing with these people. I need a freaking break.

"how are you, sweetheart" I looked at shylah's husband whose name i just don't remember at all.

"good" i kept my answer short. Does he think that me and her wife are really close. Is he trying to maintain that little sister relationship with me too. I wanted to laugh. 

Dude you don't know but your would be happiest person on earth if you would ignore my existence.

"by the way Mr. Willson, you said that our August has went on another trip with her friends, it's wonderful she changed her mind" she mocked dad and i felt like I'm gonna puke in fear. I wasn't suppose to be here. fuckkkkk.

"yes, yes, it's a surprise" Melany replied instead of dad giving her a tight lipped smile and then looking sternly at me for a second.

We started to have our lunch, and i felt a strange touch on my thigh, I looked beside and saw shylah's husband giving me a blank look.

I was shocked for a second. Didn't he just get Married yesterday. Disgusting piece of shit.

I tried to calm myself down and get over this lunch. Even if i say anything it would just end up me being the punching bag.

I felt his fingers caressing my thigh again, i slapped his hand away and gave him a disgusting glare.

I desperately wanted this lunch to end. Shylah's husband Elijah whose name i got to know again through the conversation had stopped harrasing me thankfully.

"The lunch was amazing Mr. and Mrs. Wilson" Mr. Rivera said as everyone was about to leave.
Sophia, Scarlett and Shylah hugged Melany and dad.

To avoid any suspicion they hugged me too, a bit painfully though. All I could pray for was to be a goodbye from them, I hoped desperately to never see them again. 

Mrs. Rivera hugged me a bye, while Mr. Rivera left completely unbothered, the Rivera brothers left too along with their wives after giving me a strange look.

Sighing i moved towards my room only to get stopped by Melany and then getting pushed to the floor roughly. 

"WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT. DIDN'T I TELL YOU JUSRT YESTERDAY TO NOT FUCKING COME ANYWAY NEAR MY DAUGHTERS AND HER HUSBANDS. " I flinched even though the words, her anger was expected.

Gripping my hairs, she made me standup and hit me hard on the face. My dad as usual watched me getting the beatings.

"such a fucking embarrassment" she hissed before delivering a last slap and then going back to her room with dad. 

Tears rolled down my eyes seeing him just going away. Didn't he feel anything for me, I was his daughter, his own blood. 

"M-Ma'am, let me take you to your room" I looked up at him, I wiped my tears and stood up on my own. 

"It's alright uncle, I'll manage" I said, my voice was as low as a whisper.

"ok ma'am, i will send one of the maids to give you some ointments" he said pitying my condition.

"hmm" I was already overwhelmed with my own emotions so that was all I could say.

I laid on my bed when I reached my room, my phone buzzed, I couldn't help but sob.

'See you soon, my queen.' 

It was from Noah, I wanted to tell him what happened, but I didn't want to bother him, I didn't want him to take any action.

'See me sooner' I replied. 

'You missing me already, hun 😙' I smiled looking at his text.

'Yes..I  started missing you the second you are not with me anymore' A tear rolled down my eyes and fell on the screen. 

My phone buzzed and instead of a message, Noah's face popped on the screen. I picked up the call.

"What happened" His voice. It was not his usual teasing tone, it was the tone that warned me to not lie or hide anything from him.

"Nothing, I was just missing you" I still lied

"Don't lie to me August" It was very rare of him to call me by my name. 

"It's just that you will be leaving soon and after you are done with your exams you will be starting your internship, I realized that I won't be able to meet you for like a year" I said, that was actually true though. Staying away from him was really hard. 

"I will always be just one call away from you love, we will be together" He said.

"forever and always?" I asked

"forever and always" He said. I wiped my tears away. 

"Now wash your face, sleep for a while and don't forget to prepare for the scholarship exam" He said sternly. 

"yes, sir" I said biting my lips.

"Don't play right now love, you know distance is not something that would stop me from smacking that ass of yours" I giggled at his comment. 

"Now be a good girl and take some rest little devil, just call me if you need me, I am and will always be there for you. I love you" These words, even without me telling him the truth, he knew that I was going through some emotional mess again. 

"I love you more" I said and then we hung up and kept the phone aside. As I stepped down my bed, my phone buzzed again, I smiled thinking it was from Noah but it was from an unknown number.

"I will find out who were you whoring around with last night and once I do, I am going to kill that piece of shit in front of you"
