Today was the day of the Winter Dance. It was Tuesday. 

I got out of bed and walked into the bathroom. I got into the shower and washed myself. I dried myself up with a towel. I put on a pretty blue dress and looked at myself in the mirror.

"I look amazing." I said.

"Breakfast honey!" Mom called.

"Coming!" I called back. 

I walked downstairs. I sat down at the kitchen table chair. Mom gives me some cereal.

"You don't want to be late for the Winter Dance." Mom said.

"Do you have a date? Or someone to dance with?" Dad asked.

"Yes..." I answered quietly so Ashley wouldn't hear. Fortunately Ashley didn't hear. Thank goodness.

Ashley came running down the stairs.

"Bye Ashley." I said, waving to her.

"Why are you all dressed up?" Ashley asked, confused.

"She has a-" Mom started.

"I just decided to go to school like this." I said. "I don't want to be late. Bye!"

"Bye!" Mom and Ashley called out.

I put on a jacket and opened the front door. I got on the bus. I can't wait to dance with Jordan!

The bus lurched to a stop. I got off. I saw Jordan waiting for me.

"Hi Jordan!" I squealed.

"Hey," he said nonchalantly, wrapping his arm around my back.

Wow! Jordan really likes me! I just can't wait to dance with him!

Me and Jordan walked to the gym, where the Winter Dance was taking place. The music started.

"Let's dance!" Jordan exclaimed.

It was a slow dance. Jordan wrapped his arms around my waist. I did the same.
