She takes after her Grandmother
Her Aunties and her Dad
I hope this love for cross country
Isn't just another fad

She's got the build to run it seems
And was pleased when she came seventh
Four places up on last weeks race
Coming in a respectable eleventh

With training and encouragement
At her heart I hope this sport will tug
I'm pleased as punch my little girl
Has caught the running bug
