The sun had gone down as John B continued to drive the boat to Goat Island. Kyla wrung her hands together, going over everything that had happened yesterday and today in her head. How could so much have gone on in such a short amount of time? If only she knew.

"What is that?" Kiara then spoke up. "Wait. Kill the engine. Kill the engine," she instructed as they followed her gaze, seeing a larger boat past the weeds in the water.

As their own boat neared the other one, Kyla squinted her eyes in the dark to see a group of people standing on it. Her eyes then landed on a certain someone, who was being held against his will, that she had been searching for all this time. "Oh, my God. It's JJ."

"And that's Groff," John B added.

"Those are the guys from Charleston who took the scroll," Sarah realized.

"The scuba guy, the guy who tried to kill us," Kyla then noticed, her eyes darkening.

"What do these people want with JJ?" Rhi questioned, not knowing what they wouldn't want with a 19-year-old who was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

"I don't think it's JJ that they want," Kiara replied, seeing the way the group had been more focused on Groff.

"Okay, guys, how do we get JJ out of this without him getting hurt?" Kyla quickly asked, not wanting to waste any more time since these people clearly didn't play nice.

"Does anyone have any weapons? We could sneak on there, try not knock them out," John B proposed, raising his brows.

"Yeah, I don't think that's gonna help with us trying not to get JJ hurt. That's not even gonna help us not get hurt," Rhi pointed out and the girls nodded along.

"We could, like, ram 'em. Create a distraction," Kiara suggested.

"Ram that? No. It's not even gonna leave a dent on that thing," John B argued.

"I don't know, John B, I'm just trying to think," Kiara replied in aggravation. "We gotta help JJ."

"Wait. Guys, guys." Sarah leaned over and pulled out some Vodka that was still on the boat. "We have these. We have gasoline in the back," she said, hinting to creating some Molotov cocktails.

"That's psychotic," Kiara slowly told her.

"That's perfect," Kyla said right after, sharing a look with her sister.

"Since when do you think creating Molotov cocktails is a good idea?" Kiara questioned her.

"Since these assholes decided to kidnap my boyfriend," Kyla answered like it was obvious.

"Okay, guys, we don't have time for this. Let's find some rags," John B breathed out since that seemed to be their only option at the moment.

The five of them quickly searched for some leftover rags on the boat, being able to find two so they could make two Molotovs. "Okay, so we're going to use the fire to distract them. He'll get free, jump over, and we'll go grab him," Kiara detailed as John B began creating the Molotovs. "I'm not worried about that part."

"Easy-peasy," Sarah muttered, sharing a look with Kyla who was worried out of her mind.

"Easy-peasy," John B repeated a little more firmly.

"Just don't hit him with the bomb, please. I'd like him back here in one piece," Kyla begged John B,

"Alright, don't hit JJ with the Molotov cocktail. Gotcha," the Routledge boy narrated as he finished making it. "All right. Anybody got a lighter?"

"Yeah, right here," Sarah said, holding up the lighter.

"Just be careful, John B," Kiara quickly spoke.

"This is gonna have to work," he whispered to himself before he got up, standing on the other end of the boat to get a good angle of the other boat.

"Let me do it," Kiara told Sarah, holding her hand out to get the lighter from her.

"Why?"

Kiara gave her a look. "Why do you think?" She countered and Sarah groaned lightly before handing her the lighter.

Kyla and Rhi both shared a confused glance. "What's going on with Sarah?" Rhi got up and whispered to Kiara, lighting grabbing her arm.

"Not important right now," Kiara whispered before she moved toward John B, causing Rhi to let go of her. "Okay, ready?"

"Ready," he nodded and Kiara lit the cocktail on fire with the lighter. "Shit, shit, shit."

"Come on, John B, do it," Kyla urged before he began swinging the Molotov around, trying to build up speed so it could reach the boat. However, once he let go, it seemed to only go straight up in the air instead of toward the boat. "Oh, shit."

"Oh, God!" John B exclaimed before it fell on their boat, lighting it on fire.

"John B!" They all shouted, trying to move away from the flames.

"Oh, shit!" John B said as he backed up and fell into the water.

"Sarah, Sarah, stay back!" Kiara demanded, pulling the Cameron girl away from the flames.

The girls began to talk all at once, trying to figure out what to do before John B came back above water. "You threw it straight up, dumbass!" Kiara scolded.

"What do we do? The boat's on fire!" Sarah stated the obvious in a panic.

"Quick, splash water on it!" Kyla advised, going over to the side of the boat to she could reach the water and splash it onto the flames.

"You idiot! You almost killed us!" Kiara continued to yell at John B. "Are you okay?" She then asked Sarah.

"I'm fine just...God!" Sarah responded before they all joined with Kyla in trying splashing water onto the flames.

"Oh, God, this was a terrible idea," John B panted heavily as he tried to catch his breath in the water. "I miscalculated!" Once the girls had put out the fire from using the water, they helped John B back onto the boat. "I'm so sorry."

"Jesus...A blind bat could've thrown that better," Kiara insulted.

"Mrs. Crain could have!" Kyla stated, holding her hands out.

"Don't bring up that old hag right now!" Kiara yelled.

"Who the hell is Mrs. Crain?!" Rhi added on to all the yelling.

"Shh!" Sarah shushed them seeing as though the other people on the boat began shouting at them to reveal themselves.

"I got an idea. JJ has that rubber slingshot thingy," John B remembered as he opened compartment, pulling it out. "Don't get it wet. I got it."

"We need another bottle."

John B quickly set up slingshot as the people continued shouting at them to reveal themselves. "Okay, clear. Hey, Kie. You ready?"

"Yeah, hold on. Two seconds." Once she was done, she quickly handed John B the cocktail and he placed it in the slingshot before lighting it up. "Further this time."

John B took a few seconds to aim before he uttered, "Bye-bye." He let go of the Molotov cocktail and they all watched as it soared through the air, hitting the end of the boat and making it go on fire. "Holy shit!"

"Yes!"

"It worked!"

"Let's go!"

"Let's go get JJ. Go, go, go," John B urged before they steered the boat closer. "Oh, my God, that guy's on fire. Holy shit."

"Where did JJ go?" Kyla quickly questioned as they got closer, not seeing the blonde boy anymore.

"I'll find him!" John B said as he jumped onto the boat without warning. "Circle back around."

"What the hell is he doing?!" Rhi shouted, placing her hands on her head. "The whole point of this was so we didn't go on the boat."

"He's being a dumb Pogue, that's what he's doing," Kiara answered as she steered the boat to circle back around like John B told her to do.

After a few minutes of circling around in the boat, Sarah called out, "I see them!"

Kyla looked up to see the two of them standing at the highest point of the ship. "Oh, shit." She then watched as they jumped off at the same time, hitting the water. "Go, Kie!" She yelled at her sister and Kiara quickly zoomed over to where they jumped.

"Guys!" Sarah shouted as her and Kyla reached for their boys, helping them back onto the boat.

"Come on, JJ!" Kyla voiced as she grabbed JJ's hand, pulling him back onto the boat just as Sarah did with John B.

"Go! Punch it, Kiara! Hit it!" JJ bellowed right before the people started shooting at them from the other boat. "Ah shit! Go!"

More bullets began to whiz by before Kyla felt something graze her left arm. However, in the moment, she hadn't really felt anything painful because of the adrenaline coursing through her body so she didn't pay any attention to it.

"Are they following?" John B asked worriedly as Kiara drove the boat away as fast as she could.

Kiara looked over her shoulder and answered, "Not yet."

"I think we're out of range," JJ pointed out after a second, breathing heavily.

"Thank God," Rhi said in relief, releasing a breath while leaning back against the boat.

"Okay. I got the scroll. I got the scroll," John B told them, lifting it up.

"What is it?" Kiara took it from him to inspect it.

"That leads to the Blue Crown," JJ revealed and they all started laughing in relief, apart from Kyla who had finally looked down at her left arm to see the blood that had been dripping from it.

"I thought I was gonna die," John B breathed out. "Whoo! Back in the G game, baby!"

"Guys," Kyla said before she felt a searing pain in the area where she had been hit by the bullet, making her groan in pain. "I-I think...I think I got hit."

"Oh, my God," Rhi blinked, looking down at her friend's bleeding arm. "Oh, my God!" She repeated louder, not knowing what to do since she had never seen a bullet wound before.

JJ immediately sat straight up and leaned toward the girl, trying to find the wound. "Where? Baby, where?" He questioned quickly, concern thick in voice. She tried to move her arm, but it only caused it to hurt worse so she winced in pain. "Shit, shit! Okay, okay, are there any rags?"

"We-we used them all on the Molotovs," Kiara told him, her eyes wide as she watched her sister try to handle the pain.

"Okay, shirt it is, then," JJ muttered before he took off his shirt, wrapping it up and placing it on her wound which made her groan even more. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm just trying to stop the bleeding, okay?" He spoke to her softly and she nodded slowly, shutting her eyes as she tried to not let the pain get to her.

"I-I think it...it only grazed me," she told him slowly, sucking in a breath as she continued to feel a sharp pain where she got shot.

"Okay, well we're not gonna know for sure until we get back home, alright?" He then looked over his shoulder at the others, who had been watching in worry. "Do we have medical shit or whatever the fuck we need to fix this?"

Sarah quickly nodded, her mouth dry as she recalled her own experience getting shot. She just hoped it wouldn't be as bad this time. "Yes, there should be a medical kit in the bathroom. I-I know where it is."

JJ nodded before he looked at the younger Carrera, who was watching her sister in a panic instead of focusing ahead of her as she drove. "Okay, Kie, is there any way you could drive faster?" JJ urged, trying to remain as calm as he could for the sake of his girlfriend.

"I'm trying!" Kiara exclaimed, facing forward trying to accelerate even more. "But are we sure we should go back to Poguelandia? Is it even safe anymore?"

"It's our only option, Kie!" JJ shouted and the younger Carrera exhaled, knowing that he was right. He then turned back to Kyla, fixing her hair that had fallen in front of her face. "It's gonna be okay," he assured her quietly before John B placed a hand on his shoulder, nodding to him supportively.

Kiara drove as fast as she could back to Poguelandia and once they finally got there, JJ helped Kyla into the house. "Okay, come on, come on," JJ whispered as he helped her walk inside, passing Alex who had just been sitting in the kitchen all day waiting for them to come back. He didn't want to go back to the rental place in fear of possibly being spotted by those people, so he stayed holed up at Poguelandia brooding.

He turned when he heard them all rushing in, seeing the state Kyla was in. "Holy shit, what happened?" He questioned.

"She was shot," Rhi quickly told him and his eyes widened, immediately getting up to go follow Kyla and JJ into their room but Rhi stepped in front of him.

"Rhi, move," he demanded, trying to go around her but she blocked him again. "Rhiannon..." He clenched his teeth.

"Look, I don't know what happened before we left, but it's clear Ky's mad at you. So I think it's best you stay out here," Rhi explained, her eyebrows raising. Alex sucked in a breath, knowing that she had been right even though he didn't want to admit it.

JJ rushed Kyla into their room, carefully setting her down on the bed as Sarah came in the medical kit, her hands shaking as she went through everything. John B and Kiara watched from the doorway, their mouths dry since they didn't know how bad it was.

"I'm gonna remove my shirt, okay?" JJ softly said and Kyla nodded slowly, her face paler than usual. Even though she was sure that the hit hadn't been lethal since she probably would've passed out a while ago, it still hurt like hell. JJ slowly removed the shirt from her arm and it had soaked up most of the blood, displaying that Kyla had been right, it had just been a graze wound. "Oh, thank God," the blonde breathed out in relief.

"It's just a graze?" Kyla asked weakly and JJ nodded at her, gripping her right hand and squeezing it in reassurance. She laughed softly in relief, but the movement had caused her arm to hurt a bit. "Ow, shit."

"Okay, I got what I need to clean it up and cover it," Sarah spoke up. "JJ, why don't you go put on a shirt?" She then suggested.

"Right, yeah." JJ got up and searched in his closet for a shirt while Sarah cleaned the wound, causing Kyla to wince since it burned.

"Sorry," Sarah apologized with a grimace as she continued to clean the wound.

"Are you good, Ky?" Kiara asked her sister from the doorframe and Kyla sent her sister a thumbs up with her strong arm. "Okay, let's give her some space," Kiara whispered to John B and he nodded, going to follow Kiara before he paused at the door.

"You're doing great, Ky. Doesn't even look like it hurts," he encouraged, giving her a smile.

"Oh, trust me, it does," Kyla breathed out and John B nodded slowly before he walked away, leaving Sarah and JJ in the room. "Is it weird to say that I feel like a bullet wound would hurt even worse than this?" She asked after a second, causing Sarah and JJ to start laughing. But mostly out of relief since she seemed okay enough to crack a joke.

"Oh, they do. Next time, when you're shot in the stomach then come talk to me," Sarah told her, arching a brow at her.

"No, no, there's not gonna be a next time of getting shot," JJ quickly cut in, shaking his head.

"Oh, right. Never mind," Sarah realized as she continued patching up Kyla's wound. "You should also probably drink some water and eat something, too. You know, to make you stronger. JJ?"

"I'm-I'm on it! Be right back, Ky!" He shouted before he ran out the door to go prepare something for his girlfriend, shutting it behind him to give them some privacy.

Sarah giggled at his reaction. "He loves you," she told Kyla with a smile.

"I know," Kyla replied sweetly, sucking in a breath as Sarah tightly wrapped a bandage around the wound.

"Okay, there. Should be good. That online course I took paid off."

"You took an online course on how to treat a bullet wound?" Kyla slowly asked her, moving her arm a bit to try and get used to the discomfort.

"After getting shot myself, I thought it would be useful," Sarah shrugged. "You feel okay, though, right? You don't feel lightheaded?"

"Before, I did a bit, but I think it was from seeing all the blood. I feel better now, it just hurts," Kyla told her.

"I'll text John B to find you some Advil or Tylenol to help with the pain," Sarah said, pulling out her phone to text her boyfriend.

"Speaking of John B...is there something you're not telling him?" Kyla inquired, wanting to get her mind off her arm so she could try to distract herself from the pain.

Sarah looked up from her phone, trying to play dumb. "Whatever do you mean?"

Kyla narrowed her eyes. "You're seriously gonna try to lie to me after I was just shot? Wow, Sarah, that's low."

Sarah sighed as she looked at the door, making sure it was closed, before looking back at Kyla. "Okay, Kie already knows because she walked in on me at the drug store but...I'm pregnant."

Kyla already had an inkling that Sarah may have been pregnant by the way her and Kiara were acting before, but hearing it come out of Sarah's mouth just made it feel...real. "Oh, my God," Kyla whispered.

"I know, I know. I was gonna tell John B before, but then Topper had to be there, of course. I'm planning on telling him soon, though, I'm just...nervous," Sarah admitted.

"Sarah...you're gonna be a great mom, I know you will. And John B is gonna be so happy, I already know. You guys are gonna be the best parents," Kyla said from the bottom of her heart, making Sarah tear up a bit. Kyla had known Sarah for years and seeing her be so happy with John B...it just made her feel good despite everything that they've all gone through.

"I just don't know if this is exactly a good time to be pregnant but...Thank you, Ky," she said with a small sniffle before she hugged the girl, being careful not to hit her arm. "You're no longer gonna be the mom of the group, though," the Cameron girl then pointed out after pulling away.

Kyla chuckled softly. "I think it's time I had a break."

JJ then knocked on the door before opening it up, holding a tray with a sandwich, water, and two Tylenol pills on it. "Room service!" He called out in a stupid accent, making the two girls laugh. "Just the best for m'lady."

"I'll leave you two alone," Sarah grinned before she got up and left the room.

JJ set the tray down on the bed before sitting next to Kyla, getting more serious and inspecting the bandage that Sarah had wrapped around her arm. "J, I'm fine, trust me. It was just a graze, thank God. It hurts but...I'll live."

"Yeah, but you shouldn't have been shot. This whole thing could've been avoided if I just hadn't..." He trailed off, squeezing his fist angrily. If he had never crashed out at the courthouse, she would have never been in the position to get shot.

"I don't blame you for freaking out like that, JJ. And it's not your fault I was shot."

"But if I was never there to begin with, you wouldn't have shown up to save me. I mean, what if you were shot somewhere else? Somewhere more lethal?" He pointed out. "I would have never forgiven myself for that."

"But I wasn't," she told him and he sighed, causing her to grab his hand. "JJ, please don't beat yourself up over this. You don't need anything else added to your plate, alright? Please?"

JJ looked at her, his gaze softening as her met her eyes. "Okay. Okay, I promise," he assured her.

"Good," she breathed out.

"I love you," he then said after a moment. "And I'm glad you're alright."

She smiled, "I love you, too." She then leaned forward and planted a kiss on his lips. She went to pull away before JJ pulled her back in, yearning for more after everything that had just went on. He brought a hand up to cup her face, being careful not to be too aggressive because of her wound.

They continued to kiss like that for a few more seconds before JJ pulled away, remembering something. "Oh, shit. I totally forgot to tell you," he said, a bit out of breath.

Kyla furrowed her brows. "What?"

"Don't freak out, but...Tara's back."

"WHAT?!"
