Preeta was shown making tea in the kitchen for everyone but then Mahesh came..

Mahesh : rakhi jii- preeta ?

Preeta ( smiles nervously ) : vo rakhi maa garden m haii.. aapko chaii chahiye thii kyaa.. m abhi deti hu aapko..

Preeta quickly poured tea in the cup, then forward towards him.. Mahesh silently hold the cup and was about to leave but stopped and looked at her..

Mahesh : mere sath aao.. kuch zroori baat karni haii tumse..

Preeta nodded her head confusingly then followed him..

Mahesh : jaanti ho Karan ne tumse shaadi kyu kii.. ek aesi ladki se jo kothe pe kaam karti thii usse shaadi kyu kii ??!

Tears welled up in her eyes hearing about her past but she didn't let them fall and composed herself..

Preeta : kyuki vo mujhse pyaar karte haii..

She said in a low tone.. Mahesh smiled and nodded his head in yes..

Mahesh : pyaar to Karan tumse karta haii.. bohoot pyaar.. lekin yeh jaanti ho use tumse pyaar kab or kaise hua ?! usne tumhe yeh bataya ki us raat vo kothe pe kya kar raha tha.. ek aesi jagah jaha shareef ghar ke log nhii jaate..

Preeta shook her head confusingly.. she had these questions in her mind but decided to ask Karan later..

Preeta : unhone kaha tha ki vo dheere dheere mujhe sab batayenge lekin uncle aap ko yeh sab kaise pata..

Mahesh : kyuki maine hi tumhe us narak m bheja thaa.. ( preeta looked at him shockingly ) mujhe maaf kardo beta.. jo bhi tumhare sath hua us sab ki sirf meri galti haii.. Karan tumse jab se pyaar karta tha.. jab usne tumhe pehli baar 3 saal pehle college m dekha tha.. tum uski.. pehli crush.. pehli attraction.. or pehla pyaar.. sab kuch thii or ho! but I stopped him.. m nhii chahta tha ki ek middle class ghar ki ladki meri bahu bane.. lekin Karan ne meri baat nhii suni or tumse pyaar karta raha.. rashmi or aarav yaad haii ?

Shiver ran down on her spine hearing their names.. Who destroyed her.. used her like a trash.. made fun of her.. broke her heart, soul..

Mahesh : maine ki aarav ko tumhari zindagi m bheja.. usne kaha tha ki vo tumse pyaar karta tha or tum usse.. i believed him and that was the biggest mistake of my life.. Karan ko tumse door karne ke liye maine usse aarav or tumhare baare m bataya.. lekin vo apni zid pe tika rahaa or mujhe kahaa ki " to kya hua vo kisii or kii.. kisi or se pyaar karti haii.. lekin m to sirf usse pyaar karta hu naa.. chaahe vo meri na ho.. lekin m sirf uska hii rahuga.. mera dil sirf meri preeta ke liye dhadhakta haii " That was his exact words.. A tear escaped from her eye.. she smiled tearfully and thanked god for sending karan.. her angel.. in her life..

Mahesh : i tried everything but still he wasn't ready to move on from you.. Aakhir kaar Maine vo kiya jiski saza m aaj tak bugaat raha hu.. vo gunah kiya jisne mere bete ko mujhse alag kar diya.. maine araav ko paise diye ki vo tumse shaadi karle or tumhe karan or is sehar se kahi door le jaaye lekin mujhe yeh nhii pata tha ki vo ek dhokebaaz haii or ek acchi zindagi ki jagah.. vo tumhe narak m daal dega.. jab karan ko pata chala ki maine kya kiya.. usne mujhse or is parivaar se saare riste tod diye.. uska baap hone ka haq cheen liya.. he stopped calling me dad..

Tears rolled down from his eyes..

Mahesh : use laga maine tumhe kahii galat jagah or zabardasti bheja haii.. lekin preeta beta maine to sirf tumhara aarav or Karan ka bhala hi chaaha tha.. he didn't believe me that you were save.. usne kaha ki uska dil jaanta hai ki tum sahii jagah nhii ho.. to usne tumhe dhoondna start kar diyaa.. finally 6 mahine baad.. tumhara pata laga ki tum ek kothe m ho.. Karan ko laga ki maine tumhe udar bheja or vo mujhse or nafrat karne lagaa or aaj tak karta haii.. tumhare liye usne yeh ghar.. apna parivaar sab chod diya..

Preeta : ka.. Karan ne mujhe yeh sab kyu nhii bataya pehle..

Mahesh : kyuki vo darta haii ki tum use chod kar chalii jaogi.. use lagta haii ki jo bhii tumhare sath hua.. uski vajah se hua.. agar vo tumse pyaar naa karta to tum khush hoti.. he thinks that uska pyaar tumhare liye ek saza haii..

Preeta immediately shook her head.. she was grateful to had someone who love her so much.. she thought that karan's love was like every one but no! His love was pure, loyal, selfless and different from everyone.. she was not at all blamed him.. it was her foolishness that she got into that aarav's trap..

Preeta ( in tears ) : nhii uncle.. Karan ka pyaar mere liye kabhi saza nhii ho sakta.. aree unke pyaar ne hi to mujhe thik kiya haii.. unka pyaar mere liye jannat haii..

Mahesh : I'm sorry beta.. meri vajah se tumhe or Karan ko itna kuch sehna pada.. kaash mujhe pata hota ki aarav kaisa insaan hai or uskii shaadi pehle se hii rashmi ke sath ho chuki thii.. ho sake to mujhe maaf kar dena..

He removed his glasses then wiped his tears.. preeta looked down.. she couldn't forgive him.. but it was fully not his fault.. he was already suffering so much.. his own son break all relations with him..

Mahesh : or haa.. rashmi or aarav ko saza mil gyi haii.. vo dono abhi jail m haii.. Karan made sure ki un dono ko kadi se kadi saza mile.. or jo baaki ladkiya thii.. un sab ko bhii sahi salamat bacha liya tha..

Preeta smiled feeling proud of him.. he was indeed an Angel.. she was lucky to had him in her life.. now, she knows everything.. she was going to confront him about this and his insecurities also..

She was never going to leave him..

Mahesh : maine tumhe yeh sab is liye bataya taaki tum dono ek nayii zindagi ki shuruaat kar sako bina kisi problem ke.. ( smiles ) hamesha khush raho beta..

He put his hand on top of her head and blessed her..

Preeta : Thank you uncle mujhe yeh sab batane ke liye..

Mahesh : Karan ne to mujhse baap ka haq cheen liya haii.. tum to Kam se kam mujhe papa bula sakti ho..

Preeta ( smiles ) : jii papa or aap chinta mat kariye.. i promise Karan or aapke beech jald sab thik ho jaayega..

Mahesh : bs mere bache khush rhe or mujhe kuch nhii chahiye.. chalo ab tum jaake araam Karo.. vraat hai na aaj.. karan aata hi hoga..

Preeta left from there.. she entered in her room and called him but he didn't picked up..

Preeta : shayad raaste m honge..

At night,

Preeta was standing alone on the terrace of Luthra mansion looking at karan's photo sadly..

Preeta : kaha hai aap karan.. agar aap ziddi hai to m double ziddi hu.. vrat ( fast ) sirf aapke hatho se todugi varna nhi.. samje aap!

Today was karvachauth.. all the ladies which came to celebrate left from there.. it was midnight but karan still did not return from his business trip and also he was not answering her calls..

Rakhi : preeta beta karan nhii aayega.. abhi uska hi phone tha.. subah aa jayega tu chinta mat kar or chal kuch kha le..

Preeta : unhone phone kiya tha aapko rakhi maa.. sach m..

Rakhi : Ha..haa preeta.. fikr mat kar vo thik haii kuch nhi hua karan ko..

Rakhi lied to her as she knows that preeta would not stop worrying.. she literally fainted today but still adamant that only Karan would break her fast..

Preeta : ( sighs in relief ) thank god he is fine.. pata nhi maa kal se dil bohot bechain sa tha.. jaise kuch bura hone vaala ho.. ( smiles ) lekin ab kuch nhi hoga..

Rakhi ( smiles fakely ) : haa.. haa beta chal tu jaa room m.. aaj saara se bhooki haii.. go and rest..

Preeta nodded her head and left to the room.. rakhi looked at her retreating figure with a tense face..

Rakhi ( in mind ) : kahaa haii tu Karan..

In the morning,

Preeta was continuously pacing in the hall waiting for him.. she was still starving herself..

Preeta ( tensed ) : rakhi maa.. apne kaha tha karan subah aa jayenge.. le..lekin ab to dopahar hone vaali haii.. kaha hai mere Karan..

Rakhi : preeta-

But stopped when the doorbell rang.. preeta smiled happily and literally ran towards the door to open it..

But next moment, her smile wiped off from her face and words stopped in the middle as she saw some hospital guys entering inside holding a body on a stretcher.. sameer was crying.. rakhi burst into tears seeing the face of the person..

Sameer : i'm sorry bhabhii.. lekin karan bhai nhi rhe.. mar gye.. ( fell on his knees ) chale gye mujhe chod kar.. ham sabko chod kar.. aap ko chod kar..

Preeta : ( angrily ) sameer! nhii.. yeh nhi ho sakta.. kya bakwas kar rhe ho tum.. ye.. yeh karan nhi hai.. nh..nhii..

She was shaking her head in no while moving backwards.. tears started following her eyes.. rakhi shouted his name and cried loudly.. All the family members came hearing her scream..

Mahesh : yeh sab kya ho Raha haiii!!

He yelled angrily but got froze hearing next words of rakhi..

Rakhi : ( crying ) hamara beta nhii raha Mahesh jii.. hamara karan chala gaya..

Mahesh ( angrily ) : pagal ho gyi hai aap rakhi jii.. yeh.. yeh jhoot haii.. sameer?!! Kya hua haiii..

Sameer : dad yeh sach haii.. jis train se bh..bhaii aaye.. usme.. usme terrorist attack hua tha.. bomb blast.. jo bhii log the sab mar gye.. Attack ki vajah se.. inki bo.. body or face buri tarah se jal gyaa.. or yeh ( took out Karan's wallet and a ring from his pocket ) unkii aa..aakhri nisaani..

Saying this, he started crying hugging his wallet close to his heart..

Preeta slowly moved towards karan's body.. she was numb.. tears were freely flowing from her eyes..

But she was not crying.. she was sure that that person was not her karan.. he promised her that he would return back to her safely.. he couldn't break his promise..

There were still so many things left that they had to do together.. he couldn't leave her alone like this..

Rakhi covered his face again.. preeta quickly wiped her tears and stood up..

She chuckled like crazy and wiped her tears again & again which kept flowing from her eyes..

Kritika : ( crying ) bhabhii sambhaliye khud ko.. bhaii nhii rhe hamare sath..

Kritika walked towards her & tried to hug her but preeta pushed her away and screamed painfully..

Preeta : NHIIIII!! Karan zinda haiiii.. kuch nhii hua unhee.. aap log m..meri baat ka yakeen kariye.. Mahesh papa.. aap.. aap to mujhpe trust karte hai na.. dekhiye na yeh sab kya.. kya bol rhe haii.. ka..Karan zinda haii.. haina.. yeh aadmii mera patii nhii haii.. nhii haii..

At the end she started crying, while clutching her mangalsutra.. her vision became blurry and the very next moment she lost her consciousness and fell down on the floor..

But.. this time no one hold her.. Her karan was not there to hold his babydoll in his arms..
