Chapter 2
Lucifer
I saw a man around Tsumi's age come towards her, but Tsumi had more of a scowl to her expression at the man's voice. "I'm glad you're alright." The man said with a smile at the girl.
I didn't like the way he was looking at her though. It was like he was a love-sick puppy, which I felt disgusted with. "What do you mean? I'm fine and I thought I made the message clear in our last encounter." She said with a glare at him.
The man smiled at her. "Come on, Tsumi. Are you trying to play Hard-to-Get now?" He asked with a smile.
"Clearly not then. I've told you I wanted nothing to do with you anymore." She said with a glare at him and I was surprised when she grabbed my wrist and started walkkng in hurried steps.
Eventually, we stopped in front of a sweets shop and sat on a bench that sat in front of it. "Who was that guy?" I asked, glaring towards the direction we just came from.
I heard Tsumi sigh and I looked at her for a moment before seeing she seemed upset. "Just a random guy now." She said and I was a bit confused.
"Random guy, huh?" I asked and she nodded.
"Yeah," She said and I saw Satan riding his bike nearby and I grabbed her hand before getting her out of his sight. She seemed a bit surprised when I did so, but I'd have to admit. I think she might be the only human I'd allow close to me as a friend at most so far. She seemed confused for a moment.
"What were you trying to get me from?" She asked and I looked at her.
"Head home, alright? It's dangerous out here." I said simply and she was a bit suspicious of what was going on before doing as I asked.
Dammit. What the hell is making me act like this?! I began getting frustrated at myself because she seemed to be the only human to have interacted with me without being scared once she saw me, but she still had yet to see my true self, so she may end up running away at that point, which I looked forward to, since it would give me the power I need. Though, I was genuinely curious just how good her fear tasted. It had to taste better than everyone else's.
Tsumi
I got to my house and I was confused by Urushihara's behavior earlier, but I felt like I needed to know why. I didn't think about what reason as why I needed to know so. I sighed and laid on my couch and I started getting a bad feeling about today. . .
"Why am I feeling this way. . .?" I muttered and I rested my eyes before I heard a knock at the door.
I blinked a couple times and went to the window and I peeked out and saw Itsuki standing at the door. I sighed, going to the door before he spoke. "Tsumi, I want to talk to you."
"Well, I don't so go away!" I yelled angrily and locked the door and all windows in my house. Even the back and side doors were involved as well to ensure he can't get inside. I sighed as I stood in the kitchen, as I started to fill up a large sized measuring bowl with water and I took it upstairs to my art room and I had it set on the floor next to the closet door.
I heard a ding and I looked to see my laptop just got a new message and I looked to see it was a message from Itsuki and I groaned a bit before deleting the message immediately.
When is he going to get the message that I want nothing to do with him anymore?! I sighed and headed into my room so it's easier to ignore messages I get on my laptop from Itsuki. I swear, anymore from him and I'll have to talk to Chiho's dad about it.
I got a message on my phone and I looked at my phone to see that it was from a sister-like friend of mine named Kasai.
"On my way there! Just another day and couple hours!" She texted and I smiled slightly before sighing and responding to her.
"Hopefully very soon then! Itsuki's still annoying me. . ." I sent my text to her and I sighed, lying on my bed and I stuffed my face into my pillow while making sure I could still breathe.
After a couple hours, I heard a yell coming from my front door. "WHERE IS THAT CREEPER STALKER GOOD-FOR-NOTHING BASTARD???!!!" I heard a familiar voice yell and I froze with a startled scream before falling into the floor, hitting my head.
"Ouch!"
"TSUMI!" She yelled, barging into my bedroom before sliding on tbe floor to me and she dragged me the rest of the way from the bed and she examined me for a split second before putting her index and middle fingers to my wrist and waited silently for a moment. "Oh, okay. You're alive, so get up, Turkeybutt." She said and stood up, sitting on my bed.
I sat up with a small groan. "I don't feel that way, you know. . ." I said and she smiled a bit.
"Also, I guess you've got a new neighbor." She said and I was confused for a moment.
"A new neighbor?" I asked in confusion.
"Yeah. Your neighbors Shiro Ashiya and Sadao Maou?" I nodded.
"Yeah? What about them?"
"Thsy got a new roomie. I think his name was. . .Urihara. . .or something?"
I was still confused for a moment and as she kept saying random names (and occasionally different foods and items in the mix), it finally clicked in my mind and before she spoke again, I cut in her guessing.
"Hanzo Urushihara?" I asked and she pointed at me.
"Yes. Him." She said and she seemsd thoughtful for a moment. "Also, did you know he ended up taking Chiho prisoner for a short time?" I immediately had shadows over my eyes and I froze for a moment and she froze, going slightly pale. "Or I should've kept quiet about it."
"No. Just gonna be gone for a couple minutes." I said, standing up and I headed over, to pay a visit to Maou and Ashiya's place. When I got there, I knocked on the door. The door opened to show Emi and she seemed confused.
"Yes, Ms. Yukimura?" She asked and I smiled sweetly.
"Hello. I heard Hanzo Urushihara was staying with you and Maou now. Mind if I come in?" I asked and she opened the door the rest of the way.
"Alright, but I don't know what kind of business you'd have with him. . ." She said and Hanzo was sitting at a desk by the window. He seemed pretty pummeled, but I had to do what I had to do. . .I kicked him and got him to fly into the wall.
"Chiho better not have a single injury to her or I'll have you pummeled worse than you already are, you bastard!" I yelled at him with a growl in my voice before Chiho came in with two other strange people.
"Tsu!" I looked and Chiho had no injuries so far. "What are you doing here?" She asked.
"I was just picking up a few things. . ." I said simply before taking every electronic in the apartment aside from Ashiya and Maou's cell phones.
"H-Hey! You can't just take my stuff!" Urushihara yelled and I glared at him and while he was crawling towards me, I stomped his face into the ground.
"Once you make amends with Chi-Chi WITHOUT hurting her, I'll hand you everything back, but until then, you will be stuck without your 'stuff'. And my door will be locked to you so you can't break in." I said simply before leaving the apartment.
I took all of the electronics to my place and had them all put in a box in one of my guest bedrooms. "There."
"Took his stuff without permission? I guess you're going to be learning to steal now, huh?" She asked and I had my arms crossed.
"Basically, I'm grounding him until he makes up with Chiho without hurting her." I said simply and she blinked a couple times.
"You're sixteen and he's eighteen. Technically, he should be the one grounding you." She said and I groaned a bit.
"I don't care. I just care that he doesn't end up like Itsuki." I said simply and she stared at me a few times before smirking a bit.
"Does that mean you actually like him?" She asked and I felt myself blush majorly.
"Is that your big assumption?!" I yelled at her. She was the only one who somehow knew my secrets and everything, even when I had no idea about them.
"Not an assumption~." She said in a sing-song voice. I felt my face heating more and I growled a bit in frustration before looking away from her.
"Sounds like an assumption to me." I said simply and there was a knock at my front door again. I groaned before getting up and heading to the front door. When I opened the door, the person standing there was Emi. "Oh, hey Emi." I said and she smiled at me.
"Hey, Tsumi. Can I come in?"
"Sure," I said, letting her inside. "Make yourself comfortable." She came in and smiled.
"This is actually a nice place, Tsumi!" She said and I smiled.
"Thanks! So, what'd you come here for?" I asked and she seemed a bit surprised for some reason.
"Uhm. . .oh! Have you had any weird experiences at all growing up?" She asked and I raised a brow.
"Well, I guess I had some pretty weird experiences, but normally they're small enough where no one else notices. . ." I said and Kasai came down before putting an arm around my shoulders.
"She's a bit of a wildcard at times. Tsu, I'll talk with her for a bit, okay? For now, go ahead and work on one of your projects~!" She exclaimed as she pushed me up the stairs and into my art room before slamming the door behind me. I blinked a couple times in confusion.
"Uh. . .okay?"
Kasai
I went back down to Emi and she gave me a suspicious look. "What was that about?"
"She took some your aura away from you, didn't she?"
"Took aura away?"
"Yss. She has a tendency for that."
"But how is that possible? She's a human."
"That's what she believes. She has a different form to herself as well, just like you do, but it doesn't show around very often. Specifically, not that she knows of either." I explained and her eyes widened a bit.
"Seriously?"
"I'm not joking." I said, looking at her. "She's only mostly human. The other part is the secret that's been being kept from her and others aside from me and her parents." I said and Emi seemed confused.
"Why keep her other half secret?"
"Because she's almost the exact same as you." I said simply and Emi seemed surprised.
"She's. . .half angel?"
"Part Healer Angel, more specifically." I said and she narrowed her eyes.
"How do you know about all of this?"
"I'm from Ente Isla, along with her. Someone had been sent sixteen years ago to deliver me and Tsumi away from Ente Isla to keep us protected from the war that was going to happen years ago. . ."
"Geez, I had no clue. What about Tsumi's parents? What happened with them?" She asked and I put a hand on my waist.
"Killed on the North Island." I said simply and she narrowed her eyes.
"And she really has no idea what happened to her parents?"
"She was growing up with human parents here, so no. But she still remembered the language of Ente Isla, however always thought it was a language kept between us."
"So she can understand what I'm saying if I talk to her in the language?"
"Yup." I sat on the couch and she sat next to me.
"What about sending her back home?"
"Not planning on that happening." I said simply. "Look. She may not be a full blood human by any means, but she's at home here. At least I think so. Point is, she doesn't remember Ente Isla, so she'll likely end up wanting to be here more than she would be in Ente Isla."
"I guess that'd be true, but that shouldn't mean to keep her here. . . Especially if she managed to beat down a demon general to take away his electronics. . ." Emi said with a sweatdrop.
"Well, I kinda get the feeling she attracts jerks on occassion, but I get the feeling the two of them actually might have a chance of getting together in a relat-"
"Don't you say it!" Emi said with a slightly red face and I looked at her with a raised brow. "Those two getting together would be like me getting with Maou, which is VERY VERY unlikely!"
I sighed before lying back on the couch. "Look, Lucifer isn't just a demon, he's an angel too, so there's a possibility of it happening."
"Not while I'm around!" I sighed and hit my forehead.
"Geez. . ." I muttered as Emi went up to the room Tsumi was in. "This is probably gonna turn into a large circle of people who'd be protective of her. . ."
