Unknown Grays

In fear and far these hidden hearts
tip toe past supernatural nights
wearing their thin like a thick skin scar
and seeing everything in coincidental sight

Dreams are silly and pointless too
proverbs are practical lessons for all
There's nothing beyond what we do
and no consequence to who we are

They will quickly turn away
at anything they don't want to hear
Protesting all one tries to say
in their haste to avoid these fears

The willow wisp whispers in our dream
The creatures we hear at the edge of the light
All of these things are more than they seem
standing near and just out of sight

But go on in blind and simple ways
Live in the denial of your own illusion
There apart from the unknown grays
In your bliss without confusion
