IV
So chapter four is on the side and I have a picture of the guy playing Matt. Anyways I hope you like this chapter and tell me what you think

The sun’s peaking its way through the crack in the curtain. I groan into my pillow and roll over. I don’t get a chance to gently wake up and let my eyes flicker open when I want them to. Instead I hear a huge banging on the door and all it does is make me groan more in to my pillow. I just wanted to sleep, it’s my holiday and there is someone who is banging on the door trying to wake me up. My eyes open, fast and I sit up.
“Come in.” I shout in anger in the vague direction of the door, as my eyes are still adjusting to the sunlight that is shining through my bedroom window. I don’t even remember getting into bed, but I would have been the first home. I must have crawled under my covers and drifted in the world of dreams. Anna came bouncing in and sits down on my bed. I wipe my eyes, trying to get the little bit of sleep coming from the corner of it. I raise my eyebrows in her direction. My head hurts like hell, I just need a little bit of alcohol makes me feel rather awful the next day. Anna can drink loads and loads and have no hangover the next day. I notice she was holding the phone and she says.
“So, there’s this clearly hot guy saying you gave him your number.” I bang my head, still trying to wake up. I let my eyes go over Anna and she looks as she is about to burst with joy. I guess because the word Isabelle and Guys don’t appear in the same sentence very often and so she thought this was some guy I’d thrown myself at yesterday. This is far from right.
“Why would you say he was hot?”
“Two reasons his accent is to die for. Also, you wouldn’t give your number to a guy unless you thought he was cute.” I hold out my hand to take the phone knowing that I’m going to have to put up with Aiden’s stupid comments and I’m still hating myself for agreeing to let him show me London. I put the phone to my ear and look at Ana as I speak.
“Hey Aiden.” I try to say positive but I don’t exactly feel like it. I knew Anna just wants me to hook up with some random guy, but that wasn’t like me so I was just trying to please her by giving her the impression. Anna’s face goes into a smile. I roll my eyes at her before I hear him say.
“Just checking to see you gave me the right number. So, you’ve just woken up according to your lovely friend.” I could picture him sending Anna a wink; I knew he would if he was right here. I look at Anna and I have this impression that she can hear some of the words said as she seems to have begun bouncing on the bed.
“You are a flirt and at the moment you are reminding me too much of my cousin.” I snap at him. Anna’s mouth falls open and she stares at me. I knew if Anna was in my situation she would have already gone to bed with him. I, on the other hand would be a total bitch to them until they are nice to me. I didn’t like him. I didn’t know why but I don’t like the idea of being around him.
“Not so loud. You may not be hung over, but I certainly am. Alright princess?” Of course he is hunger-over. I bet he only had a few hours sleep. He is the type of person that I expect works till the early hours of the morning before he goes and gets drunk, before waking up with a massive headache. He doesn’t seem to care about anything. “Now where are you staying? I’ll come by and then I’ll give you a tour of London.”
“Look I’m not being rude or anything, but you really shouldn’t be drinking while at work because frankly I don’t want to be near someone who is hung-over.” Again my eye flicker to Anna who’s glaring at me. To her this guy would have been perfect for me. She always thought that I would need someone bad in my life, but that didn’t appeal to me. I just didn’t like that idea.
“Chill out a bit. For god-sake. You need to have a little fun.” I knew those words so well. I hear them almost every day. It’s not that I don’t want to have fun. I just didn’t want to be the person found in a drain, passed out and not knowing where they are. I didn’t want to be spread across the pages of the magazines being made out to be a slut, or a bitch or a hoe or something which I could never shake off. I didn’t want people to look at me and think they were better than me, because I’d been caught in a web of havoc, or some rather disturbing scandal. I just didn’t want that. I like being the good-girl even if everyone said I was dull and boring. I roll my eyes at his comment before I let out a small groan. “Okay so you can send me a text and I’ll come by at three.”
“Whatever.” I mutter and I press the end button and throwing the phone on my bed. Before I can open my mouth to say anything Anna cuts across me.
“So, he’s coming here and please tell me he’s hot.” I roll my eyes before sliding off my bed. I walk to my dresser and run my fingers over the clothes. I feel that Anna is still behind me, glaring. I pull out a pair of jeans and a tank top before pulling my hair up. I turn to face Anna and say.
“How many bartenders were there yesterday?” I ask knowing this would help clear Anna’s mind. I knew she wants to know what he looks like. So I was more asking her so that I could say who he was.
“Three a, blonde one, an old guy and a brown hair one. So, blonde or brown.”
“Brown. The blond one is called Cody and he is gay.” Her mouth falls open like she didn’t expect it. I had to be honest with he didn’t give the impression off that he was gay so I could see that Anna was a little upset by this. She says.”
“Damn that is bloody annoying he is H.O.T hot.” I roll my eyes before going through my suitcase and pulling out my underwear. “And the other one is Aiden. He seems a little rude. I mean I think he flirted with every girl in the building. You sure this is a good idea?” I roll my eyes. I wasn’t the best person with guys and looking at Aiden, in her eyes he would have been perfect. Saying that because he caused quite a fuss yesterday and therefore now she knew I could do better. She didn’t want me near him but I’d promise him I would let him show me London and I wasn’t about to back down.’
“I’ll be fine, anyway I made a promise to him. Now go so, I can get change.” She groans before walking out the room. I grab the towel which is hanging on a rank in the bathroom. I turn the shower on and let the water warm up. I pull my clothes off and they drop to the floor as I step through the door of the shower. I let the water run over my body.
I step out and wrap the towel around me and wonder back into my bedroom. I pull on my clothes and, then walk into the main room. Mason is lying on the sofa with Nicole on top of him. Her head rests on his chest and he’s running his fingers through her red locks. Anna is in the kitchen area and is cooking, what smell likes bacon. Kyle is sitting at the counter talking to her. Matt is nowhere in sight. Haley is on the sofa slowly sipping a cup of coffee.
I wonder to the sofas and sit down next to Haley. She smiles at me. Mason is the one to talk.
“You know I think you’re the only sensible one here.” Nicole groans and she pulls herself closer to Mason. The corner of his mouth turns up. “She drank a little too much.” I roll my eyes and say.
“It looks like you all did. Where’s my idiot cousin?” I say and I see smirks cross everyones faces as I say that.
“He was talking to one the bartenders about something and he hooked him up with some girl.” Mason says and my eyes flicker to Anna and she looks over to me and she mouths ‘Aiden’ I roll my eyes and look at Mason and I say.
“Well, if he dies or something I’m not picking up the pieces. He is such a dick sometimes.” I say and this makes Mason let out a chuckle, although Mason was my friend him and Matt had always been rather close due to sport and the fact they run in the same social circle.
“Say that again.” Kyle says and takes a seat next to me. I look at him and glare at him. Kyle passes me a cup of coffee and I thank him.
“Kyle I don’t like you being so mean to Matt. He really isn’t that bad.” The door opens and Matt comes wondering through it. I purse my lips and glare at him. Let’s just say he looks awful. He has a bruise below his eyes. His eyes are red and he groans and he falls in to the arm chair.
“Matt this is why you don’t drink.” I stand up and pass him my coffee. “You need this more than me.” He mutters his thanks and begins sipping the cup of coffee. “So, what happened to your eye?”
“Aiden.” I knew he would have come in to the conversation. I’d never shown much interested in guys, but when I did Matt did everything he could to stop them coming anywhere near me. Although I did think Aiden was hot I didn’t see him like that. I wasn’t going to emit that to him though because it was fun him having what he is deserves. I roll my eyes and walk over to perch on the arm of the chair. “He’s a fucking bastard.”
“I’m aware of that Matt, but you have to emit you are rather alike. He called me this morning and he sounded rather worst for wears. Now are you going to explain what happened or will it be Aiden to be the one to tell me?”
“You can ask him. That’s fine by me. You’re not seeing him though are you?” he sounds angry, like the thought of it would really upset him. This was a strange thing, Matt treats me really badly one minute then tells me how I should act the next minute.
“He’s coming around at about three to show me London. I made a promise and I’m one to keep them unlike some people I know. Matt it be fine, he wouldn’t dare touch me unless he wants to end up in court.”
“Wait whose Aiden?” Haley asks looking at me. Her eyes are going between Matt and I and I’m about to tell her but Anna cuts across me.
“He’s the brown-haired bartender from last night.” Anna says and places a tray on the small table. She takes the seat between Kyle and Haley. Haley’s eyes light up and she says.
“Well, he was some yummy piece of eye candy. What happened? And why the hell is he showing you London?” Matt looks pissed off, he doesn’t exactly get on with Haley anymore. Kyle is annoyed because he is going to be a part of girl talk and Mason is just paying attention to Nicole.
“Because Bella here is a stupid girl who will fall for any English bad boy and somehow convinced her to say yes.” I hit Matt and he groans in anger. My phone begins ringing as everyone sees grabs a plate of food. I glance up the number to see dad across the screen.
“Hey daddy.” I say into the phone.
“Now can you past me to Mathew I would like a little word with him.” I hear the anger in his voice and a lump forms in my throat. I past the phone to Matt and he stands up and walks up the stairs and bang the door shut. Mason looks at me.
“Matt caused the press to turn up.” I look at him and say.
“You know what happened?”
“Yes I was going to wait for him, but he got a little bit out of hand. Aiden was talking about you. Matt got a little mad and punched him. I took him away and he did say sorry which is why Aiden just throw him a girl. I really don’t think it’s a good idea to be near Aiden. Look you know I don’t normally stop you because we are not the closest friends in the world, but I really think he’s not a good idea. I think Matt’s rather tame compared to him.” I begin chewing on my lip and look through my lashes at Mason. He moves Nicole from him and she sits up resting her head on his arm. He places his arm around her waist and puts an enough food for two on his place. Nicole takes a piece of bacon and I look at Mason and say.
“Mason, he’s not that bad he just has a lot of problems. Who doesn’t? I think I will be fine. Anyways if he does anything bad it’s going to be in the papers tomorrow. I’ll be fine.” He doesn’t seem sure, but slowly nods. I feel a rush of jealousy run through my body, as I look at them. I’m glad they’re together, and everything, but I couldn’t help wanting what they have. Mason and Nicole are going to be together, forever. There’s no question about it. There’s no way they are going to be torn apart.
“OMG, how did I not notice that?” Anna is staring at Nicole with a huge smile on her face. I see Nicole blush scarlet, and I look back at Anna. Nicole sits up and pulls her legs close. The light catches something on her hand. I look and see a ring shinning in the light. My eyes look at it and I can’t help, but let my face pull into a smile.
“That is so, amazing.” Kyle looks blank as Matt re-enters the room and takes his sit back. Anna, Nicole, Mason and I. I see Haley staring at the ring and her eyes are full of emotions, like she wants that to be here, but she doesn’t seem surprised. “Haley did you know?” She bites down on her lip before slowly nodding.
“I’ve known Mason forever he let it slip like last month and so, he kept ranting about it. Although they both suck.” I roll my eyes before letting out a giggle.
“Look is Matt and I being thick, or are we missing something.” Kyle says looking at everyone around the room.
“There in engaged dumbass. I can’t believe you didn’t tell us.” Anna says glaring at them. I see Nicole’s cheeks get redder. Anna goes to sit next to her and she looks at the ring. Matt and Kyle look at each other and they both blurt out.
“Why do you want one girl for the rest of your life?” I pull a pillow over my face and I see Matt glance sideways at me. Kyle may like Anna a lot but he is not the type of person I would think about settling down. Matt I can’t see him settling but I know he will at some point because once he is done with his career one of his children will take over.
“That’s easy there are in love. Both you guys have never been in committed relationships, and therefore you are not capable of understanding. I have to say Mason this is a lovely ring. Its princess cut which is like the best thing in the world; it must have cost you a fortune.” I say looking at him. He looks a little uncomfortable. Everyone knows that Mason and Kyle are not as wealthy as the rest of us. Mason comes from a working class family, as does Kyle. Haley and Nicole are both middle class, with both having just one parent working. Mason doesn’t talk about money because he doesn’t have much and so he bites down on his lower lip.
“It was my grandmothers. So, it was free.”
“I don’t care. It is beautiful and I’m clearly worth it because Mason was close to his grandmother. I’m kind of honoured to wear it.” She says gazing at Mason, whose face pulls into a smile. He kisses her on the temple and Anna says.
“So, when’s the wedding?” She is saying this just to get the attention away from Mason, who looks a little uncomfortable.
“Um we were thinking Christmas.” My eyebrows rise in surprise. I may think that they are wonderful, but I would like at least a year to plan a wedding, not that I will be in that situation anytime soon.
“Don’t you think that is kind of fast?” I ask looking between them before Nicole says.
“‘I want to get married. I don’t care how fancy it is. I would be happy going to Vegas, if it wasn’t for my parents. So, why wait anyways you’ll all be at home at Christmas won’t you.” She says glancing around. We all nod and her face lights up. “See, it’s perfect. I just want to be married to Mason. I don’t care when or how as long as your all there.” She says and I couldn’t help, but smile.
“Okay when we get home, I have like two weeks before I go to college and we are going dress shopping.” Anna says, looking at Nicole, who rolls her eyes and nods. Nicole catches my eyes and I smile before resting against Matt.
“You’re being very needy today.” Matt mummers to me. I roll my eyes and glare at him. “Bella, it’s fine. Come sit on my lap.” I slide into his lap and lean against the arm rest. This is one of the moments that Matt is being a sweetheart, although if I say that he would have my head. Matt, may be mean, he’s harsh and treats me like hell, but at the end of the day he’s family and cares about me.
“I’m just tired. I’m not like you people. I need sleep otherwise I’m a total wreck the next day.” Matt lets out a smirk and Matt says.
“Say that again.”
“Now what did my dad shout at you about.” He looks at me and I feel him move under me as he looks uncomfortable. I hold his stare and he begins chewing on his lips.
“Um well...”
“I said you had a fight with Aiden.” Mason says and I smile at him before turning my attention back to Matt. He is still sitting here. I look at him and Matt as he tries to figure what to say, or at least a way to say it nicely.
“I’m sorry Bella, but that guys a dick and I really don’t want you near him.”
“He’s no different than you. Anyways I never said I wanted to date him. I just made a promise which I intend to keep and if you’re not happy about it oh well.” He stares at him and his mouth is slightly open. I know what he’s thinking. I’m a push over and normal when Matt doesn’t like something, I don’t go anywhere near it, but I’m holding my ground. I didn’t want to break a promise even if Matt would start being harsh to me and pretending that I wasn’t here. he becomes a little over-protective far too much.
‘Fine, but if you get hurt. Don’t you dare come crying to me?’ I nod and slide off his lap and stumble into the kitchen.
