The next three days were hectic. I spent the days running around my house looking for clothes. I did manage to contact Haley and she came around with everyone else. It turns out her boyfriend; of the pass four months had dumped her. She was beyond upset. I didn’t really know him because he was a year above and well, he sort of freaked me out. According to him with her going off to college in the fall, it would be unfair for her to have a boyfriend who's hundreds of miles away. Anyway, to sum up that he didn’t do long distant relationships and he was a dick. Her whole face lit up when I told her we were going to London for the summer. She said it was the opportunity of meeting some cute British guys; her words not mine,

Now I’m sitting next to Kyle; Anna on his other side. I had a book open and I’m reading Charles Dickens ‘Great Expectations’ I thought I should get a feel of England; even if this book had been written over a hundred years ago. The language in this book was magic and it flows with such ease and beauty.

“How did we become friends?” Kyle says from beside me as I turn another page. I glance at him over my book and bite down on my lower lip.

“I’ve always thought you as Anna’s friend, not mine. You’re far too perverted for my liking.” I say and the corner of my mouth turns up as I turn my attention back to my book.

“Bella.” He says, taking my book from my hold. “This is almost as bad as reading Shakespeare.” He says glancing at the front cover. Kyle is not well, let’s say book smart. He’s planning to take an engineering course at college. So, I can understand him for not appreciating the English language. It will just go through his head no matter how hard you try and get it to stick in. He only scraped graduating and that with mine and Anna’s help.

“Kyle, you’re nice and everything, but I really don’t know you.” I say taking my book back from his hand, and turning my attention to the pages.

“Then, why did you say I could come?” I lean closer to him. I didn’t want Anna to hear me, and once glancing at her, I sigh in relief and I notice her earphones in.

“I’d watch Anna if I was you. I thought you're smart if it didn’t involve school. She’s like your closest friend you get on with her more than most guys. You’re even going to the same college as each other.”

“Well, thanks all the same.” I turn my attentions back to the book.

“Bella”’ I look up to see Matt standing there. Kyle groans and Matt sends him a glare. Matt and Kyle don’t see eye to eye. Matt hates Kyle because he’s the only guy that girls would rather be with, than him. It’s an ego thing and Kyle always wins. It didn’t help that Matt started rumours last year that Kyle was gay; in the end it worked out better for him. Every girl wanted Kyle as a best friend and he said he wasn’t gay, but every girl saw how sweet he was and he got a girlfriend. Matt’s always hated him and I feel the tension between them. “Can you go sit by Haley, she’s crying about some guy.” I roll my eyes, but Kyle stands up. I move my legs up and he says.

“It’s fine I’ll go talk to her. I don’t want to be near him.” Kyle says throwing a glare at my cousin who is standing there with a smirk. Matt takes his seat and I turn my attention back to my book.

“You like Kyle.” I shake my head and smile.

“No, unlike you I don’t feel the need to have someone to make out with the whole time. Anna likes him though.” I say glancing at her.

“Why? She could do so much better. I would do her.” I roll my eyes and laugh. He would have sex with anyone who moves. As long as they have a heartbeat, and of legal age, then the girl ticks the boxes for him.

“You are a dick.” He shrugs before pulling out his ear phone and plugging himself in. The rest of the flight remains quiet. I do fall asleep with my head rested on Matt a few hours in. I’m kind of glad that Matt seems to be pretty normal.

Matt shook me awake and the sky outside is pitch black. We wait until we're called off and I walk with Matt to go through passport check. I didn’t feel as if I was really there, and Matt would tap me every so often. My dad had organized a car to pick us up.

My mind’s wondering, but I could hear all the talk around me of what they wanted to do in England. Nicole and Mason already have everything planned out. I wouldn’t have thought London to be the best city to be a couple, but I wasn’t going to say anything. There were some fabulous museums, the London eye, the theatre and divine restaurant so; I knew they would have found something which they love. I had no idea what I’m going to get out of this trip. I know one thing I won’t get, and that a tan. Yes, I would go shopping. We got picked up by a car, black in color and I found myself sat next to Matt.

“You have been out of it.” He murmurs into my ear. Matt likes to tease me; a lot sometimes I think he is my brother. We had a very unusual relationship. You see most cousins don’t see each other every day and well because we see each other every day, there are times we act like best friends more than family. There are times when I see him as my brother because our bond is so strong.

“I don’t know why I thought I would really happy about coming to London, but well it’s a little dull.”

“What did your dad tell you this morning?”

“Not to embarrass the family name. You know us together is going to get a lot of attention. Especially due to the fact my dad is going into producing.”

“Well, I don’t have the same name as you.” I roll my eyes. This is the kind of thing he would say, but it didn’t mean anything.

“But everyone knows you're my cousin.”

“I still find it funny when they thought we were dating like three years ago.” A smile came to my face as he says this.

“Well, before you bleached your hair.” I let out a small laugh and Matt glares at me. I look up and see Kyle’s glaring at Matt. He catches my eyes and mouths sorry. I would never say I hate Matt. One, because he’s family. Two, because he has his moments, but I know Kyle and Matt are never going to get on. From the first time they met they have hated each other. It happens, but it’s annoying because I find Kyle one of the sweetest guys I know and Matt just can’t get along with him.

“Bella.” The corner of my mouth turns up and I hit him on the shoulder.

“I swear you guys hate each other.”

“No I pretend to hate her because she’s too much of a goody two shoes.” Matt says throwing me a smile.

“Yeah we all know that and she’s too stubborn to have fun.” Mason said before planting a kiss on Nicole’s cheek. My mouth falls open and I look at him and see the corner of his mouth turn up.

“Am I really that bad?” My eyes flicker around the limo and they are nodding. My eyes land on Matt who says.

“Alright Bella. You just take the daddy’s girl to the extreme. Hey you’ll be able to keep your promise about being good.” I bite down on my lip and at that moment the driver says we are here. I slide out of the car, first and Matt follows. I walk to the back of the car and open the boot before taking out my suitcase. I come to the conclusion within the next four seconds that I can’t lift it. Matt lets out a small chuckle and takes my bag. He pulls out the handle and turns it to me. “You are funny, now go to the apartment. I’ll follow and take the life.” I roll my eyes, but turn to the building at walk in. I walk across the lobby and to the lift.

My father brought this apartment when I was born. I’d only been to it once; when I was six, before my mother died; I knew he was expecting to have a big family. My father is one of four, and he wanted at least four children. That’s why he brought such a big apartment in London. He’s never had the heart to sell it so; it’s pretty much left on its own.

Although I haven’t been here in years I remember it like the back of my hands. The sitting room contains pictures of me and my father together in this very apartment and I’ve always wanted to come back. It has changed slightly, it’s more modern, but the feel is still the same. The walls are an off white color, my mother’s choice and because she chose the color so there's no way that my father was going to change it.

The kitchen and sitting room are the same room, but the counters of the kitchen divide the two rooms. Also while the sitting room has a deep red floor, the kitchen floors are made of stone. The surfaces are off white to match both the walls and the sofas in the living area. Matt's behind me, carrying another one of my bags and his own. I put my bag against the back of the sofa and perch myself on the arm. Matt sits on the armchair and says.

“I remember coming here, years ago.”

“We spent Christmas here.” I say. I remember watching the snow coming down and settling on the ground below. “That’s when everyone talked to each other.” A tear fell down my face. I wanted to come here because it was my mother's favourite place in the world. Out of our many houses she always loved this one the most. The year I turned six we had spent Christmas here. I was little I didn’t know my mother so, no tears fell for her. I understand now. I miss her, even though I never knew her. I see the pictures and I just can’t believe God took her away. Matt wraps his arms around me and I rest my head on his shoulder.

“Bella its okay, I understand that you get upset.”

“I haven’t thought of her in a while, and everyone was so happy there; even when she's gone. Now look at our family is a load of shit.”

“Isabelle Hardly swears; I think I should call the news crew.” I pull away from him and his face holds a grin. Just, then Anna comes in followed by Kyle.

“So, rooms. Bella are you okay?” Anna says.

“Yeah just memories, you know family and stuff. I haven’t been here since I was six when we all got on.” I say and looking at Anna she knows what I am talking about. Kyle doesn’t really know the whole thing, as I haven’t told him a thing. Saying that Anna tells him nearly everything and therefore it’s almost nice to have him there so I can rant to someone who won’t complain.

“What actually happened?” Kyle asks, may Anna hadn’t told him anything. I look at Matt and he chews the bottom of his lip.

“Seven years before we were born, Well Simon started his company and it was fine for thirteen years. He was getting his name out there; his family was there for him. He got married, he had Bella. It was all fine. Yes Charlotte passed away, but his family was there for him.”

Haley came into the room followed by Mason and Nicole. They look at me who had Matt’s arm around my shoulder and Mason says.

“Are you okay?”

“Memories. I’m really pathetic, I’m sorry I haven’t...”

“Bella its fine. So, where was I...?”’ Matt says, pausing for a few seconds. “Okay so, it was fine until my seventh birthday. That was the year when Simon started making some serious money. He put all his time into the company and so, Bella's left at my house pretty much all the time. That’s when Simon fell out with the family. It all came down to one thing. Money, he had it and they didn’t. My mother didn’t mind so much because my dad was the one who’d put all the money at the start so, he gets a 25% cut of whatever Simon makes.”

“I’m fine Matt.” I say resting my hand on his shoulder.

“Sure. Okay sleeping arrangements. Well, there are six bedrooms so, Mason and Nicole if you take the one at the far end of the corridor upstairs. I’ll take the other one upstairs. Then you four there are two doubles, one twin and one bunk beds. So...’

‘Because this is Bella’s house, I’ll share with Anna.’ Haley says. I smile at her and Matt nods in agreement. I take one of my bags and pull it through a door leading into a small hallway. The house is a little weird spaced out. Upstairs there are four rooms and, then a balcony. The two bedrooms upstairs are huge, but I know for a fact that it is better for Matt, Mason and Nicole to have the upstairs. Honestly there are the people who have a higher change of having sex then rest of us. So it be better if they were out of ear shot.

The sitting/ kitchen are in the middle of the apartment and on each side of it there are four rooms. Both double bedrooms have en-suites and then there is another bathroom in the hallway facing the twin room. I place my bag in the double room before returning to the main room.

‘Okay Kyle you take that side; the double is at the end of the hall. Anna and Haley the first door on the right.’ They nod before walking out the room. I look at the clock and I see that it reads 12:27am

“its eight hours ahead, right?” I ask Matt who nods and says.

“Meaning we can go out without feeling too tiered. Also, the best thing is the drinking age is eighteen. Everyone’s eighteen right?’

“I’m not.’ Anna says coming through the open door, but she holds up her fake ID and says. “I hate being the youngest although my birthday is next week so; I can be an adult in nine days.” We all laugh and Matt rolls his eyes before saying.

“Okay everyone, go and get changed and we will go in twenty.” Both Anna and I stare at him, and she says.

“So, you expect me to be ready in twenty minutes.” He nods and before I know what is happening, I’m pulled into Anna’s and Haley’s bedroom. Haley is already unpacking.

“We have twenty minutes to get ready before we go out.”’ She pushes me on the bed and pulls out her make-up. “Bella, you are the most important person because you are the most boring out of all of us.”

“I don’t want to go out. It’s just a load of drunken people.” She rolls her eyes before brushing over my skin. I glare at her.

“Come on. You’ve never had a boyfriend. You’ve never had a kiss and well, you’re pretty much sucking when it comes to guys. Now close your eyes and keep them close.” I nod and I feel many brushes past over my skin. I do laugh becomes the brush over my eyelids tickles and I couldn’t help it.

Anna and Haley are arguing over colors and I feel myself getting pull to my feet and my clothes are being taken off. I don’t really mind standing in my underwear because it’s like being in a swimsuit. A few minutes later Anna asks me to lift my arms up. I feel a dress come over my head. It’s tight and clings to my body. This wasn’t my dress I knew that. Anna’s a size smaller than me and so, this dress is tight especially around my breasts.

“Open your eyes and look up.” I do and I feel her around my eye as she puts the eye liner on. She then puts mascara on. “There you go. You look stunning and I think Matt will be pissed. You do have your moments don’t you?”

“The press loves me and they love him so, we are going to draw attention. He will be careful and he’s away from his friends he will be the cousin I know and love. Not the dick ass one at school.”

“Now sit there. I’m getting ready, and I have like seven minutes.”

I watch Anna run around the room pulling on clothes and putting her make-up on. Haley’s nearly done, she’s just choosing a pair of earring before sitting next to me.

Out of the three of us Anna’s the most beautiful, but it’s in a pretty innocent way and I love her for that. Haley’s pretty, but she looks a lot younger and so, well, I think beauty comes with age until you get to about thirty, and then it starts going down again. They were both brunette, but Haley’s hair was rather bland and she knew this her hair’s a light brown which wasn’t the most charming color. She is a natural blonde so I was still getting use to her brown hair. Her face has many freckles that cover her face, which make her look totally cute. She has her moments when she’s confident, but a lot of the time she’s more into herself than I am.

She was friends with Mason from when they were five or six. Mason moved here when he was thirteen and a year later Haley came here. Mason introduced them to me first. At that moment in time Mason was friends with Matt, he still is he has more in common with Matt than he does with Kyle, but after he started dating Nicole he was around Kyle a lot more than he was with Matt.

“Right now you can look at yourself.” Anna says pulling me to my feet. I knew my dress was red, but other than that I didn’t know what it looks like. Anna puts me in the middle of the mirror and my eyes flicker to my reflection.

I’m standing in a bright red dress. The material’s soft, but it helps it hold in my whole body and it was a little harder than normal to breath. The dress came about half way down my thigh and it was strapless. My face as glowing and my eye really did stand out. My hair was hanging loosely around my shoulders.

“Okay I look, well thanks Anna you rock.”

“I know right.” She says and I turn around to glare at her and she let out a small laugh before saying. “Kidding. I’m glad you’re happy. So how do I look?’” I look at her and well, she’s gorgeous it’s clear. Her dress is a little longer than mine, going to her knees. It’s a very deep pink color which goes with both her hair and skin tone. Her make-up is simple, with just a little eyeliner. Haley is wearing black which I know is her favourite color, weird I know, but I’m not going to say anything about it. She feels black is the color which people wish wasn’t here, so it’s her favourite. She’s pulls her hair into a tight bun while Anna’s left down around her shoulders.

“Look come on. I want to go to a club, but I have no idea where we are going.” I hear Matt shout through the door. I roll my eyes and let out a small laugh.
