"You were right mate, she's a Chaser that one".

└────────────── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────────────┘

The school talked of nothing but Sirius Black for the next few days. The theories on how he managed to get into the castle became much wilder and crazier, Ophelia enjoyed hearing them very much.

The Fat Lady's ripped canvas had been taken off and was replaced with the portrait of Sir Cadogan. Nobody was happy about this, that idiot spent half of his time challenging people, and the rest thinking about ridiculously complicated passwords.

One day Professor McGonagall summoned Ophelia and Harry to her office. She had such a sombre expression on her face, Ophelia really thought someone died.

"There's no point hiding it from you any longer," she said in a serious voice. "This will come as a shock, but Sirius Black-"

"Is after you! What a surprise!" Regulus rolled his eyes.

"I know he's after me," said Harry. "I heard Ron's dad talking about it".

"And you don't need to be Sherlock to know he'll be after me as well," Ophelia responded.

McGonagall seemed taken aback, then considering both of them she said, "In that case, Potter and Black, you'll understand why I don't think it's a good idea for you to be practising Quidditch-"

"Nope, never. You can't cancel quidditch Minnie," James narrowed his eyes threateningly.

"We've got our first match on Saturday!" Harry exclaimed, enraged.

"Yeah, Minnie we have to train! You can't cancel the practices!" Ophelia pleaded.

Then she said that from then onwards, Madam Hooch will be overseeing their training sessions. During the Gryffindor team's final practice, Oliver gave them some unwelcome news.

"We're not playing Slytherin!" he told them looking very angry. "We're playing Hufflepuff instead, Slytherin's excuse is that their Seeker's arm is still injured".

"That blonde, drama queen," sneered Marlene.

"There's nothing wrong with Malfoy's arm," Harry growled furiously. "He's faking it".

"I know! Now we have to change our moves and strategies all over again. Hufflepuff's style is quite different, they've got a new captain and seeker, Cedric Diggory-"

Angelina and Katie giggled at his comment making Ophelia roll her eyes.

"What?" frowned Oliver.

"He's that tall, good-looking one isn't he?" said Angelina.

"Strong and silent," said Katie and they started giggling again.

"He's only silent because he's too thick to string two words together," Fred said impatiently and received a hard smack from Ophelia.

"Don't worry Oliver, Hufflepuff are just a pushover," said George.

"We must not take this lightly! Diggory has put up a very strong team, we must practice, we have to win," Oliver said agitatedly.

"I like him," said James nodding his head approvingly.

"Calm down man we're taking them too seriously, like too seriously," said Fred looking alarmed.

/*/*/*/*/*/*/*

The day before the match, the winds were practically howling and the rain fell harder. The conditions were worsening each day.

The Slytherin team looked very smug, and none more than Malfoy.

Ophelia knew that the team was full of cowards and had only got their way in because of the Nimbus 2001 that the Malfoys had got them.

She had a free period and was lazing around in the common room, Fred and George had Divination.

That's when she remembered that she had to learn the Patronus Charm. Smacking her head for forgetting she went towards the library and took a book about the charm. After reading the theory and understanding the spell, Ophelia went outside on the grounds and started practising.

Closing her eyes, she chanted, "Expecto Patronum," but nothing happened at all.

She tried several times, but all she could manage was a light silver vapour. That made her frustrated, she could produce a full-body Patronus before, so why couldn't she do it now?

She thought of maybe asking Professor Lupin for help but remembered that today was supposed to be the full moon. He must be ill, she thought.

Then something came bounding towards her and she barely had time to react before she fell hard to the ground.

It was.... Padfoot.

"Hello mate! No need to be so barking mad," smirked James and Dorcas snorted at his lame pun.

"Hey at least give me a warning before throwing yourself like that," she groaned getting up from the ground.

Padfoot again turned his neck sideways, gesturing towards the tree.

"Alright, alright let's go," she said after looking around and making sure there was no one on the grounds.

The pair swiftly moved towards the tree and after freezing it, they went inside the tunnel and into the room.

Padfoot transformed into his human form and gave her a huge smile. "Good to talk to you again," he said laughing lightly.

"Yeah, so any reason on why you were so dramatic yesterday," she asked snorting.

"He's dramatic every single day," said Lily.

Pouting a little, he muttered, "Hey I just wanted to get inside, but she wouldn't let me.. so I just-"

"Fucking slashed the portrait?" she interrupted with a smirk.

"Language!" James mumbled as the rest of them punched him.

"Well.....yes".

"You really are the most insane person I've met," she laughed shaking her head.

He just smiled and sat down leaning against the wall, with his legs pressed to his chest. She looked at him, noticing his eyes and their shape was similar to her own, she'd also inherited his sculptured face and defined jawline.

Harry had shown her a picture of his parents' wedding once and Sirius was in it too. But now as she watched the man in front of her, it was difficult to believe he was the same person.

Sirius' body was really frail and fragile, and in the picture, he was healthy and a little muscular too. His arms and legs were stick thin, face gaunt and pale. And that were just the physical differences.

The most prominent change however was the colour of his eyes. It seemed dark, cold, faded and hollow, unlike those bright and beautiful eyes that danced with mischief in the picture.

"I'm so sorry," she whispered with a sad look.

"Why?" He asked, surprised.

"I- I should've got you some food.. You look starved," she said, guilt filling her.

"That's okay," he said brushing it off with a wave of his hand. "What's important is that I can talk to you after 12 long years," he smiled softly.

"Hmm we need to hurry it up though, I've got Defence in 20 minutes".

"Pfft! Defence can wait, I'm sure Remus wouldn't mind his husband and daughter bonding," smiled Dorcas.

Sirius nodded.. He wanted to ask so much but couldn't find the words. Letting out a nervous laugh, he said, "We're both here now and I don't even know what to ask you".

"First tell me about your innocence.. What exactly happened that night?"

And so he began the tale, skipping out the parts that included Remus. He told her how he'd been the Potter's secret keeper, and how they changed it at the last second to Peter because he suggested so.

Then how Peter betrayed their location, leading to Voldemort killing James and Lily on that night.

"That stinking rat!" growled Regulus.

"When I found the house in ruins, I knew what Peter had done and started tailing him," Sirius spoke with tears threatening to fall.

"I caught up with him in a muggle street and that bastard used a diversion. He killed the muggles, cut off his little finger and transformed into a rat; he disappeared".

"The ministry reached there and to everyone, it looked like I was the one who killed Peter Pettigrew and the rest. And without even a trial, I was sentenced to Azkaban," he finished, his cheeks stained and eyes slightly red.

"I'm sorry, Ophelia," he looked at her. "I didn't mean for this to happen really, I should've thought it through before going after him, I shouldn't have been so careless, I- I'm s- sorry," he whimpered.

"Argh Lupin-Black no need to be so sentimental, it's going to ruin my make-up," grumbled Marlene trying not to cry.

Ophelia herself had tears welling up in her eyes, blinking them away she stood up and sat next to him, placing her hand on his shoulder she said in a quiet voice, "It's fine. Yes you shouldn't have behaved recklessly but you had lost your two best friends, it's what anyone would do really".

He smiled slightly at her answer, wiping away his tears, he asked, "We've still got some time, tell me everything about yourself, favourite colour, favourite food, friends, hobby, likes, dislikes, everything"

She laughed, a warm feeling spreading inside of her at his eagerness, "I like blue, purple and black colours, favourite food uhh, chocolate yes. Then my two best friends, Fred and George, then Ken, Katie, Harry, Cedric, Theo, Hermione, Ron and many others...."

She continued answering in detail and Sirius paid rapt attention to everything that she was saying.

"Now it's your turn," Ophelia let out a toothy grin. "Tell me when's your birthday".

"Third November," he smiled and she nodded and began asking him questions rapidly. "Merlin's fucking beard," she swore loudly, getting up.

"Language," retorted Sirius making Ophelia roll her eyes.

"I'm sorry-" she stopped, unsure of what to call him. She had thought of calling him Dad but... It was harder than that.... Sirius, she decided, till she feels more comfortable she'll go with Sirius, yeah.

"Um Sirius I'm sorry but I've got to run or Lupin will give me detention I swear to Godric," she muttered.

"She has to call him Da....." Regulus frowned.

"She will, just give her time," Lily answered firmly.

"Oh he won't don't worry," smirked Sirius. "Go on, we'll talk again someday".

Ophelia stopped, looking back at him, then gave him a high-five before leaving. "I'll be sure to bring food next time!" she yelled. "Be safe and DON'T DO ANYTHING I WOULD DO!"

"And don't do anything she wouldn't do either!" James screamed from the sofa.

Chuckling to himself, he shook his head fondly at her. From all of the stuff she'd told him, she was brilliant.

Her love for chocolate and books, that was all Remus. Her love for black outfits and leather jackets, was definitely him. Her love for pranking and Quidditch, that was James. Her love for her friends reminded him of Lily. And her fascination with stars and constellations, that was Regulus.

She was perfect in each and every way. And then Sirius remembered something that had happened during Ophelia's third birthday.

Looking up, he whispered, "You were right mate.. She's a Chaser that one... I owe you three galleons".

"Yeah, you do...." James whispered shakily, desperately trying to swallow the sudden pain in his throat.

Smiling at the thought of James, he turned back to Padfoot, putting his head on his paws and falling into a peaceful sleep.

Running as fast as she could, Ophelia skidded at the front of the DADA classroom, panting heavily. She looked at her watch and cursed, she was ten minutes late.

"I'm so sorry Professor Lup-"

But to her surprise, it was Snape in the classroom and not Lupin. She frowned at that.

"Oh no...." Lily groaned, burying her face in her hands.

"How kind of you to join us, Black," Snape sneered, "Ten points from Gryffindor for not being on time".

"Where's Professor Lupin?" She asked.

"He says he's feeling too ill to teach today," he smirked.

Realizing the problem, Ophelia silently went to her seat, sitting beside George.

He was about to question her, probably on her whereabouts but she shook her head, glancing at Snape. They didn't need to lose more house points.

"As I was saying, Professor Lupin has not left any record of the topics you've covered-"

"Please sir," said Angelina. "We've revised Boggarts, The Impediment Jinx, Tripping Hex and the Tongue Tying Curse, and we're about to start-"

"Be quiet," Snape said coldly. "I was merely commenting on Professor Lupin's lack of organization".

"Slimy git," said Dorcas.

"He's the best Defence Against The Dark Arts teacher we've ever had," Lee said looking bold and the students nodded in agreement.

"Because he had a marvellous competition the last years didn't he?" Snape retorted, a nasty smirk on his face.

Ophelia was literally trembling with rage, her temper was short and Snape always made it burst.

"Oh shit's about to go down," said Regulus looking at Ophelia's shaking figure.

"Get the popcorn, Potter! Quick!" Instructed Marlene, not taking her eyes off the screen.

George noticed her fists clenching and her eyes narrowing angrily at Snape. He took her hand in his, rubbing the back to calm her down, because a seething Ophelia, was a dangerous one.

"Don't calm her down!" Dorcas yelled shaking her head.

"I have heard that Professor Quirrel never got to complete this topic back in your third year, so I have decided to teach this," Snape said, flipping the textbook.

"Turn to page... 394"

Everyone flicked their books quickly, curiously to see the topic. And just the name of the chapter was enough to start a blazing fire inside of Ophelia.

"How much more insulting can he get?" James growled furiously.

'Werewolf', she read. Looking up Ophelia sent Snape the most deathly glare that she could muster. That heartless bastard, she yelled internally.

"Which of you can tell me how we distinguish between the werewolf and the true wolf?" Snape questioned them.

Everyone was silent, there was only one hand raised. And Ophelia, though she knew the answer, kept silent.

"Anyone?" He asked again with a horribly twisted smile. "I'd never have thought that a fifth-year wouldn't be able to answer such a simple question".

"We told you!" Katie said. "We haven't got as far as werewolves just yet, we're-"

"Silence!" he snarled. "I shall make a point of informing Professor Dumbledore how very behind you all are".

"Please sir," said Katie, whose hand was still up, "The werewolf differs from the true wolf in several ways-"

"Miss Bell, I have told you to remain silent, five points from Gryffindor for being an annoying, insufferable know-it-all".

"Shut up Snivellus," James grunted.

"It was good knowing you, Snape. You're about to get busted now," grinned Regulus.

Ophelia saw Katie going red in the face, she put her hand down and was staring at the ground, eyes shining with tears. And that was the final breaking point.

"Aha! Rest in peace Snickerdoodle," Dorcas smirked.

Ophelia stood up and bellowed angrily, "Taking points off her for answering the question correctly??!! Calling her an insufferable know-it-all??!! Why even ask the question if you don't want to be told the answer? Remember you are a teacher, sir, though you don't even deserve the title, nor the respect".

"Yes yes yes!" Marlene screamed, jumping with joy.

"Miss Black be quiet or-" glared Snape.

"I WILL NOT BE QUIET! NOT WHEN YOU'RE BULLYING STUDENTS LEFT AND RIGHT! YOU'RE A FUCKING TEACHER AREN'T YOU? IT'S YOUR FUCKING JOB YOU FUCKING LOSER TO HELP THE STUDENTS, NOT TERRORISE THEM EVERY CHANCE YOU GET!"
do I just have a knack for rhyming...

"Damn Lia.... Pop off...." Regulus said looking hella proud.

"Black I'm giving you a final warning, sit down right now!" Snape snapped. lmao

"I fucking won't," Ophelia spoke in the deadliest whisper ever heard. "It's getting out of hand, you are bullying students! Don't you understand? All of them HATE you!" I rhymed again...

"Did you know that Neville Longbottom's boggart was you??" she questioned, rage filling her. "Did you ever pause and think how horrible you must be TO BE AN ACTUAL BOGGART OF A STUDENT??!!? And instead of thinking about your actions, you just continued terrifying him more.

The class was staring at her as she was speaking nothing but facts. They all silently agreed that this had to be done, but the consequences would be really bad.

"Detention for the whole year Black," he hissed venomously.

"DILLIGAF" Ophelia said calmly, and George who knew the meaning bowed down his head to hide his smirk.

"What is this nonsense?" Snape asked furiously.

"Do. I. Look. Like. I. Give. A. Fuck," she answered with a sweet smile.

"Woahhh, write that down, write that down!" yelled Marlene, mentally noting that abbreviation.

Fred and George couldn't help as they both snorted and face-palmed at their best friend's reckless, but pleasing behaviour.

Putting her books in her bag, she went up to him and said, "I'll be in your office as soon as class finishes to attend the detention," smirking she left the classroom, giving the students a wink and directing a thumbs up to the twins before leaving.

The class stared after her in complete awe and admiration. She might be the daughter of a murderous lunatic, but no one could deny that she is an absolute queen.

"Yeah, you bitches like her now huh?" Lily said with disapproval.

/*/*/*/*/*/*/*

Feeling pleased with herself as she left the class, Ophelia felt herself lighten, probably because of all that stuff she got off of her chest.

That was the last class of the day, so she thought of going up to the library to get her essays completed.

"Ophelia?" Called out a weak voice.

"What are you doing here?" Professor Lupin questioned.

"He looks terribly ill," James frowned.

She looked at him and he certainly looked sick. He had dark bags under his eyes, his face paler than usual, and the expression on his face told her that every step he took was causing him pain.

"Are you alright?" She asked frowning deeply at his state.

"Yeah yeah. I deal with this every month," he laughed lightly. "Also shouldn't you be in class?"

He watched as her face immediately took on an expression of fury and disgust.

"Whoops...." Marlene smirked.

"Let's talk in my office," he said. "Maybe some tea will help calm down your anger".

She walked, with him leading the way and he prepared tea for them.

"So what happened? I know it's supposed to be your DADA class"

"It was horrible... every second of it," Ophelia groaned making Remus' frown deepened.

"That-" she stopped herself, not wanting to get yet another detention.

"Snape," she grumbled. "He was straight up disrespecting you and your teaching, and yelling at students for answering the question correctly".

"Yelling at students for answering questions correctly?" He asked in disbelief.

"Yes! He called Katie an 'annoying insufferable know-it-all', she was in tears because of him!"

"What did he teach?" Lupin asked.

Rolling her eyes, she answered, "Werewolves".

She saw him tense up at hearing the term. His fists closed tightly, and his jaw clenched.

"That was.... inappropriate of him," muttered Lupin trying to remain polite.

"Oh Moony you have better words to use than just 'inappropriate'," huffed James.

"Inappropriate?!!? That was completely wrong of him!" she said, voice rising.

"I have a feeling you did something afterwards," he asked, with an amused smile.

Turning scarlet, Ophelia mumbled, "I just gave him a little piece of my mind".

She told him everything that had happened, cancelling the curse words obviously. "And now I have detention for the remaining year," she huffed. "It was worth it though".

Remus Lupin shook his head with a fond, and nostalgic smile. He knew she had cursed him violently, even though she didn't mention that.

The reckless but brave behaviour reminded him of Sirius so damn much that it pained him. Every time he looked at Ophelia, all he saw were those starry eyes and the smirk that resembled his husband perfectly.

"I'll talk to him," he said. "That was really unfair".

She nodded her head, smiling. Getting up she was about to leave when she looked back and rushed towards his desk.

"Take this," she said handing him a chocolate bar. "Eat, you'll feel better," she smiled again and said, "Good luck for the night," Ophelia left the room, leaving Remus beaming at her caring attitude.
