Fair warning guys, I'm going to be speeding things up.

Flynn POV

The pain is sometimes too much.

I try to hide it from Mary, but sometimes she's able to see through the cracks of my armor. I can see on her face that she wants to say something but is holding herself back for my benefit. My past is something I don't talk about, to painful to bring up. I instead focus on Mary and the wonderful pup that's growing in her stomach. They're the best things that happened to me, I knew I was taking a chance when picking her up and catching a alpha's scent on her, but the desperate look on her face had me taking the chances. 

These past few months have been the best times of my life, caring for Mary has brought me great joy and that's why today I'm going to ask her to be my best friend. Now I know to many it wouldn't be that important but to me it was. I want to share my past that has brought agony on me in many different ways. I want to tell her about my mate. 

"Flynn." I was pulled from my thoughts as tiny fingers snapped in front of my face. I looked down at the black haired girl. Her eyes held frustration but still had the brightness that developed over the months. In the beginning her eyes were a dull blue that seemed to resemble the end of storm. They didn't even look blue, they looked like a very light grey. Now they were a bright blue that resembles the beautiful sea with the sun shining down on it. 

"Come on we have to go to my appointment." She was already on her 6 month mark and she was freaking huge. I didn't know that one baby could take up that much space. I sometimes joke around saying she was carrying three pups in her belly. She would always glare at me though I knew she wanted to laugh. 

I was able to convince her about a week ago to go to Scar's pack doctor. She still has the fear that Jason will find her. I keep assuring her that he wouldn't be able to scent her out since she's now pregnant and that her scent has change a lot. She finally relented and now we were on our way to go meet the pack doctor. She was super excited to finally see the pup growing in her belly, I was excited too because my niece or nephew is in there.

Closing the door behind her I watched as she bounced in the seat before putting her seat belt on. Smiling I walked to my side and opened my door. Closing the door behind me I started my car up and on our way we went. I already knew the way since I visited Scar and Nola a lot in the past. 

Everything was nice and comfortable. I looked over to Mary to see she was starring out the window, but at the same time she was subconsciously rubbing her big tummy. I couldn't stop the small smile that came to my face with the love that busted from my chest. 

Coming up to the pack house I quickly turned the car off before hopping out. The baby blue color of the house already told me what gender they thought the baby was. I have 100 dollars going that it was a girl but Scar had 200 dollars saying it was going to be a boy. 

I hurried over to help Mary out the car and she quickly grabbed on to my hand. I pulled her up and her left hand went towards her stomach. I watched as she inhaled the scents around her, to make sure that Jason or any of her ex pack mates were around. I noticed she did this a lot, it became a habit for anywhere we went.

I felt my wolf growl inside of me. He also has taking a liking to Mary, seeing her as a sister. We were both in agreement that we wouldn't let anymore harm come to her or the future in her belly. I helped her walk or waddle in her case over to the door, stepping up the four stairs. Opening the door Mary was instantly engulfed in a bear hug by Scar. 

"Awe honey, you look absolutely gorgeous." She pulled back and smiled widely at Mary. Mary simply smiled softly thanking her with her soft voice. She was the definition of feminine and innocence. She had on a simple white dress and her black hair sprayed down her back creating a curtain around her pale face. 

I couldn't help but move closer to her, the need to protect her growing stronger. Though I trusted Scar fully, I still felt that sliver in the pit of my stomach. I watched as Scar moved away and let Nala hug Mary, bringing her in tightly. They both were adorable when they interacted with on another. 

"Come on I need you to come help me make these brownies." Nala quickly grabbed Mary's hand and pulled her away leaving me with Scar. "Do you want to go for a run." Just from that one sentence my wolf was whining to be let out, scratching at my mind. I sighed and nodded my head. "Okay lets go." She nodded her head and lead me out the house.

I laughed when getting knocked over by the pups. They were playing in their wolf form and I couldn't help the awes that tumbled out of my mouth. I couldn't wait to have kids. A sharp pain went through my chest and I quickly looked away, hurrying to catch up with Scar, hopefully this run will ease some of the pain.

Well hello guys, here's another chapter. I know I'm super extremely freaking late so hopefully this can make up for something. This book has about 10 chapters left before I move on to the next book. Hopefully you guys stick around for the next book, because its going to be Nala's and Scars story and how they got together.
