Suddenly as I was panicking Paul ran into the room. Tears formed in my eyes as he stepped closer but I shook my head.

"We need to talk I have to explain" he said

"That werewolves exist" i said softly

"We call ourselves shapeshifters and we protect humans our intent is to only kill vampires and protect the town and reservations people" he said sitting next to me

"You hurt me, you broken me left me broken hearted why, after all I been through why" I asked

"I didn't want to but I was trying to protect you from" he began

"What this here the fact Leah hurt me you thought I'd be you that did it" I said

"I have the worst temper of them all and I didn't want you to turn out like Emily" he said looking down

"It's a little late lahote" i hissed

I turned and looked out the window of the hospital room. He reached for my hand but pulled back I only knew this because I saw it in the reflection of the window. I wasn't in the mood for his games, I wasn't in the mood to be hurt by him like everyone else. Suddenly Bella rushed into the room and tears formed in her eyes. She rushed to my side where I'd been looking out the window. I loved my sister I really did but all this stuff was getting to my head. I wanted to be elsewhere and somewhere safe and oddly I felt safe with Paul. I knew he left the room upset but I couldn't help it.

"Eve thank god your okay I'm so sorry i wasn't supposed to find out and I almost ended up like this myself, please do forgive me for not being able to tell you" she pleaded

"Wait you knew why Paul left me?" I asked shocked and angry

"Only for a few more days then you, but I wasn't allowed to tell" she said

"Weren't allowed, just like you couldn't tell me about what dangers I was in when you dragged me to Phoenix" I snapped

"Eve I swear I'm sorry but Sam he's alpha and the shifters aren't supposed to let humans know unless this happened or they imprint on a human" she said

"What do you mean imprint?" I asked causing her to look up softly

"I'm not sure exactly what it is but Jacob had mentioned it when explaining everything it's basically a soulmate of some sort like me and Edward" she said

"Great so now what do I do Huh?, Paul he has a soulmate out there somewhere and I'll be pushed aside" i said softly to Bella with tears in my eyes

Her eyes softened then widened in shock and then her expression turned to anger. She let go of my hand and stormed out of the room just as quickly as she had entered. What the living hell was actually going on here and why did she storm off like that.
