(POV:Neil)

To me being the new kid was ok... I kinda enjoyed the thrill of meeting new people but I didn't know that a new person whould change my life...

"Your classroom is down the hall first door to the left." Ms.Byers says. I nod and start walking to the room. I look at the door for a second and take a deep breath. Then knock on the door.

At first nothing happens then the door opens and I see a short kid with a black eye, curly hair and a blue hoodie. The boy glares at me and moves out of my way. I walk into to the room and see my new homeroom teacher. The man turns to me and asks"Who are you?" I freeze up and say"I-i'm the new kid. Neil..." The teacher nods and says"I'm Mr.Baker"

Mr.Baker turns to his class and says"Seeing that we have a new student I will be having each one of you talk to Neil separately telling him one thing you like about this class and one thing you dislike... seeing on how most of your failed this past test I will have this assigned as a replacement test grade for the test." I watch as some of the students high five each other and smile."Max since you are still up you can talk to Neil first. Go to the computer lab next door. As for the rest of you... y'all can relax this period."

Max starts walking to the room next door and I follow him."Do yourself a favor..." Max says sitting down at a computer desk."Just give up now." I sit down next to him and ask"What happend to your eye?" Max glares at me."It's none of your business!" He snapes at me.

I back up and say"You don't know me... but you can trust me... I promise I won't tell anyone." Max starts laughing and says"Trust you... I've learned to stop trusting people... and if you think that will at all change your crazy..." Max gets up and winces in pain."Sh-shit..." Max holds his stomach and says"God damn it..."

I step forward and ask"Do you need help?" I reach my hand out and he flinches."Don't touch me." He says swating my hand away."Do you want me to get the nurse?" I ask backing up."N-no! Don't do that if- if they find out... just don't tell anyone about this." Max says sitting down again.

Max take a deep breath and says"One thing I like about this class is that we can sit wherever we want to. One thing I dislike is how I have no one to talk to." I smile and say"You can talk to me." Max smiles a bit and says"Ok... meet me at this class before lunch... I'll sit with you." I smile and say"Ok... that sounds like fun." Max quickly gets up and says"Let's go back to class..."
