(POV:Max)

As the classes keept going I started thinking about Neil. It felt weird to be attached to someone...

I watch as person after person talked to Neil and got bored."Mr.Baker I'm going to the bathroom." He gives a thumbs up and I walk out. I walk to the computer lab and walk in on Nerris talking to Neil."To be honest the only reason why I don't like this class is because of Max." I'm not surprised by this but it still hurt to be the only reason why someone didn't want to be here. Neil sees me and says"Hi Max."

Nerris turns to me and asks"Shit how long was he here?" Neil gets up and says"Max is my friend." Nerris laughs and says"Max having a friend... unlikely... he's always messing with everyone and ruining our fun." I back up and run out of the room to the bathroom. I hear the door creek open and hears Neil's voice."Max... are you in here?"

I sniffle and say"Everyone hates me..." Neil walks over to me and says"I don't hate you." I wipe my face and say"You don't know me... you don't know what I'm like..." I flinch as Neil reaches his hand out to me."Why do you flinch so much?" Neil asks helping me up."Is someone hurting you?" I shake my head and say"No... No one is hurting me... I'm just really jumpy..." Neil nods and says"I'm going to believe you... but if someones hurting you... please tell me..."

I hold my stomach and say"Let's go back to class... you probley don't want to get in trouble on your first day here. " Neil sighs and says"Ok... but during lunch I want a expnation..." I nod and say"Fine... but you have to keep it a secret." Neil nods and says"I will."

I was kinda disappointed at Neil's schedule. We only had our first and the class before lunch. I sat in the back of the class and though about Neil. He seemed like a good person... but I'm not sure if I 100% trust him yet.

"Today we will be singing a song that you can relate to." Mrs. Lyons says."You all have had the last two weeks to prepare so I'll call you up to the stage one at a time to sing." Max looks at his song and takes a deep breath and says"I'll go first." Mrs. Lyons nods and says"Go ahead."

I take another breath and walk up to the mic on the stage and sing.

The class mutters for a bit but erupts in claping."Fuck you." I say walking off of the stage. Neil follows me and says"That was amazing... I..." I turn around and say"Fuck off." Neil looks confused as I walk away and sit in the back of the auditorium. I pull my hoodie up and cry. Neil sits next to me and says"Hey... you can tell me what's going on... I... that song was a... was like a cry for help... so let me help."

"I... my parents suck..." I say quietly."They... they hurt me..." Neil nods and asks"Why don't you tell anyone?""Because they will make it worst for me if it doesn't work." I say. Neil nods and says"I'm not going to tell anyone... I'll be back in a few minutes... I'm going to ask the teacher if I can go next." I look confused as Neil walks away.

"Hi Mrs. Lyons... can I go up and sing next?" I ask smiling.  She nods and says"Go ahead now no one else is."
I walk up to the stage and say"Hi... I'm Neil and I'm new... but I'm doing this anyways."
