A/N: So this is the new fanfic. This first chapter is a bit dark in terms of thoughts, but the rest won't be as bad. It takes place soon after the end of Neverseen.

Sophie couldn't believe it.

No matter how many times she played back the moment in her brain, her mind refused to accept that he was completely gone. That he had truly turned evil.

No. He wasn't bad. Like Mr. Forkle had said... He'd just taken some wrong turns.

But for some reason, she couldn't help feeling like it was all her fault. Like she could have stopped him somehow. Like she could have prevented this from happening in the first place.

She looked around the room, which had no signs of extreme protection or unexplainable worry. But, outside her room stood five guards. And Fitz, Dex, and Biana were facing the same.

They said he knew too much about her. They said he would betray her. But she refused to agree. He would never hurt her. He promised.

She didn't hate him. Because it was all her fault.

She had let him go. She hadn't tried harder to stop him. It was all her fault.

The guilt grew like pouring rain inside her, consuming her like a flood of acid. No matter how many times she tried to focus on anger instead, the flood of guilt just kept coming back.

She wanted to leave this mess, leave it and never come back.

The room darkened and Sophie felt herself falling. A high pitched scream echoed throughout the room, and she had a faint idea that it was coming from her. Two things echoed throughout her mind before she blacked out.

Keefe had joined the Neverseen.

And it was all her fault.
