I watched him walk away.

He didn't look back once.

How could he not?

When he was walking away from something so great.

I watched him get in his car.

Start the engine.

And drive away.

Not looking back once.

On what he left behind.

Or who he hurt when he did it.

The sound of his tires on the gravel driving away was my signal.

Tears spilled over my eyes and sob after sob escaped my lips.

I walked away and tried not to look back at her.

It took all of my strength and will power.

I couldn't just leave her there.

But I had to.

It's what she wanted.

It's what I thought I wanted.

'Its better for us.' I told myself.

No amount of lies that I fed myself however could ever fill the big hole in my heart.

Was this stupid?

I wanted to give you guys something.

I spaced it out and changed the way I write the numbers for my chapters.
