My heart was pounding so much that I thought it was going to jump out of my chest and run away itself. A gun was pointed straight at Seth's head, and the guy who was holding it looked like he would have no remorse if he pulled the trigger. Looking within the man's bright red eyes, a certain coldness could be found. To be quite honest, just the color of his irises was enough to send a shiver down my spine.

" Please, stop! He's innocent!" I screamed.

" Hush it, Kiyano," He said, his index finger still on the trigger.

It was as if everything was happening in slow motion. I was waiting for the man to gently press down on the trigger and for a bullet to fly out of the gun and hit Seth, but to my surprise nothing happened. What did catch me by surprise was that the man flew back on top of my countertop and hit his head on one of my cabinets. I noticed that a dagger slit the palm of his hand. Seth sat there in shock, just staring at his surroundings. Grabbing Seth by the hand, I shot a look at him.

" C'mon! We have to go Seth!"

He swiftly stood up and followed my lead, but as we went to run out of the door, we both stopped. A sudden familiarity washed over me as my eyes computed the sight before me. A familiar face stood in the doorway of my house. As I quickly snapped out of my daze, I noticed that the front door had been kicked down and that he was standing on it. His sky blue eyes locked with mine for a good second.

"Obviously, I came just in time," he said sending me a quick, warm smile.

I was awestruck because standing right in front of me was the boy that I had dreamt about the other day.

"Kratos...." I said. When I looked at him, the first thing that I noticed was that he was strikingly gorgeous. He had bright blue eyes that twinkled when he spoke. He had brown locks and a perfectly chiseled chin. He was attractive in my dream, but boy was he was even better looking in person.

He smiled and said, " I've finally found you KL Kiyano."

He then ran over to the kitchen, approaching the man who was going to attack me. I stood in front of the detached door, baffled. He knew my name. How did he know my name if I had never seen him in person?

Kratos approached the man who was now knocked out.

" KL, you know that guy?" Seth asked, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

" No...not exactly," I responded to Seth. This only made his forehead crease in confusion.

" Then how does he know your name?"

" Seth, it's a long story that I really don't have time to explain right now."

" Alright, but we need to go. Like now," Seth said.

" But we can't leave Kratos here alone!" I blurted out, unintentionally.

" Yeah, let's just put all of our lives in jeopardy here for a random guy that just invaded your property! Plus, he looks like he came straight out of Final Fantasy or something! We don't know this guy! He could be crazy!"

" Seth he just saved our lives!"

"KL we have to go!"Against my will, Seth took my hand and we went to go out of the door. We were swiftly stopped when someone was coolly leaning against the naked doorframe.

" Well, well, well. Is this the Breaker that Jagger was talking about?"

Seth pulled me behind him, guarding me. " Who are you?"

The boy smiled, " I'm Nicco. Jagger's best friend."

"Great. Everybody around here is crazy. This is just crazy," Seth said, glancing back at me

and dramatically throwing his hands into the air.

Peeking my head out from behind Seth's taller frame, I realized that the boy in the doorframe also had those creepy red eyes. This Nicco boy had slicked back but yet messy, dirty blonde hair and he was fairly handsome. His features were clean cut and shaven, but he looked oddly familiar for someone whom I've never met before. He looked like he could not be much older than I was. He also seemed like he could be somewhat nice, but his red eyes told me that he was much more dangerous than what he was portraying.

"Get out of the way," Seth told Nicco, pushing him to the side.

Rage suddenly overtook Nicco's face as he looked angrily at Seth, but suddenly he stopped and made eye contact with me. " Wow....you are beautiful."

I felt my cheeks flare up. I didn't know what to say or do, so I just said, " Uhh....thanks." Then I followed after Seth.

Nicco randomly appeared in front of Seth, as if he had transported there, and I let out a scared squeal. Nicco smiled at Seth and said, " You see, I'm afraid that I'm not allowed to let you take her. My friend, Jagger, in there has an assignment to get her. So, if I were you, I'd just do this the easy way and hand her over."

"Wha-what?" I said.

" You or your friend aren't taking her anywhere!" Seth said defensively.

Nicco chuckled, " Well we'll just have to see about that."

Seth took me and walked around Nicco. Nicco poke up again. " You're making a horrible mistake in taking her with you. I really don't want to do this the hard way."

Seth ignored him and went in his car. I quickly jumped into the passenger. Suddenly, the car fell down to the floor and then sprung back up. The sound of breaking glass surrounded us and as I peered my eyes opened, I saw that the whole hood to the car was smashed in.

" Seth!" I screamed.

Seth swore out loud and tried to get out of the car. " KL, my door won't open!"

I tried opening the door on my side, but it wouldn't budge either. " Mine won't either Seth!"

Nicco appeared in the window next to me. Glaring at him through the window frame, he sent me a flirtatious wink. He went and ripped the car door right out and all of a sudden, I felt myself getting tugged out of the car.

"Stop! Stop it! Leave me alone!" I yelled. I tried to grip onto the dashboard. I then felt that he had got me out of the car and was holding me close to him so that I couldn't run away. I looked up at him and sent him an ugly face. He smiled down at me." Get off of me now!" I screamed.

All he did was chuckle. Then was when the sound of bullets being shot were heard. Nicco's grip on me loosened and suddenly, I felt gravity taking me down with him. He fell to the ground and covered the spot that he got shot at with his hand. I looked toward the front door of my house and saw Kratos standing there with a gun in his hand.

" Let's go!" He shouted while dashing to my side. "Let's go now while they're both unconscious," He said.

" But Seth is in that car!" I said, pointing to the half smashed car. Seth was in so much shock that he was literally just sitting in the car and staring straight at Kratos.

" I got him," Kratos said as he ran over to the car. He started pulling the car apart limb for limb until Seth could get out. I was actually shocked at how fast he was taking these car pieces off. It was as if he had some kind of super strength or something.

" I know you're both in shock now, but we need to hop in that Camaro. And nobody better even think about getting in the driver's seat," he warned.

Seth and I ran into the car. I hopped into the back seat, and Seth went in the passenger side. Kratos jumped in the driver's seat and swiftly started the ignition. The car purred to life, and we darted down the street.

Seth nearly screamed out, " So would anybody like to explain what is going on now?"

Kratos spoke up. " Those guys in that house were out to get KL. They want her for some reason."

"Well thanks Captain Obvious," replied Seth.

" As I was saying before I so rudely got interrupted, I don't understand why they want her. All I know is that those two aren't the only one's like that. I had an encounter with another person who had those red eyes as well. He mentioned something about having a master, which only makes me assume that he also might just be after us right now as we speak."

" There's more of them?" I shrieked.

Kratos nodded his head. " Unfortunately yes. But I've only encountered another one with black hair. He wasn't at your house though. I'm just not sure how many more of them there are. That's what's concerning."

" You don't say," replied Seth sarcastically.

" Maybe now's a good time to mention the fact that I stole this car from them without knowing...?" Kratos said.

"What?" Seth and I replied in unison.

"Yeah, but I took out all of the surveillance they left in here. We should be good."

Seth laughed, "Great. Just great. I've lost it. I'm officially crazy. This is all just a figment of my mind. I'm going to wake up and this will all be over. Someone pinch me."

Looking in the mirror, I saw Kratos' annoyed expression." How about somebody punch you? You're getting on my nerves." Kratos said.

I sighed in frustration.

" Are you threatening me? Because-"

Kratos smirked, "Because what? Because if I wouldn't have saved you, you still would've been stuck back there in your car? Because if I wouldn't have showed up there was a good chance that you may have been dead right now?"

Seth looked out the window with no reply. Kratos basked in the fact of knowing that what he said was true. We all sat in silence until Seth softly spoke.

" A Breaker," Seth said.

"What did you just say?" Kratos asked him while making a sharp left turn that sent me flying to the opposite side of the backseat.

" There was another guy outside trying to attack us. I think his name was Nick or Nicco or something to that relevance. But he mentioned something about a Breaker. He said something about KL and a Breaker or something like that." Seth asked. Kratos's tone of voice changed from serious to slightly concerned.

" A Breaker? There's......no way."

"What is that?" Seth asked. I listened intently to their conversation.

" It's a person that possesses a great amount of power. I'm not exactly sure what their powers exactly are, but when they are released it is extremely powerful."

" What are you talking about?" Seth asked, looking at Kratos like he had lost it.

" You saw people with bright red eyes and weren't scared. Talking about people with powers should be less scary than that to be honest," Kratos said.

" What normal people have powers?" Seth asked.

" No normal people have powers. That's the point that I was trying to make. You see, I am one of those abnormal people. And I want to believe that KL is one of us too," said Kratos.

Seth turned in his seat to look back at me. " Great. We have just escaped to loony town. We'll be dead any second now."

" Well excuse me but last time I checked, if it weren't for me those guys would've finished the rest of your car off with you inside. If it weren't for me, you'd be dead now," Kratos reminded him once again, seeming even more annoyed than when he said it the first time.

Seth stayed silent. Kratos said, " Exactly what I thought."

Seth spoke again, " So why do you presume that KL has powers?"

" Well, I can only assume that those red eyed freaks are going after her for a specific reason. Since they possess powers themselves, I can only assume that they believe that KL has powers. I mean, what person who has powers wants to go after a mortal? No offense. But, now that you told me that they mentioned something about a Breaker, that definitely makes me believe that that has something to do with why they want her."

" So they think that I'm.....a Breaker?" I asked.

" I'm not exactly sure. I'm just going by what he mentioned and adding two and two together. I mean, it makes sense," Kratos said.

Seth sighed as he put a hand to his forehead. " I don't understand how all of these stressful events can happen so close together."

I frowned, reminiscing back a few days to when I had first learned that my parents were gone. I couldn't help but silently agree with him.

Seth spoke again, " So how do you two know each other?"

Before I could say anything, Kratos said, " We don't."

Seth looked so confused that I couldn't help but to laugh at his reaction. " But you two obviously knew each other's names without introducing yourselves. Then you guys acted like it was some kind of reunion. Did you guys meet online?"

Kratos laughed. " Sure. We video chatted a lot."

" KL, why did you never tell me that you were talking to someone online?" Seth asked.

" Because I didn't know that I was talking to someone online....." I replied.

Kratos continued to laugh. " Dude why are you so gullible?"

" Then seriously, how did you guys meet?" Seth asked.

" A dream," Kratos replied in a serious tone. I was surprised at how blunt that he came out and just said it. And he had the same dream?

I broke off Seth's laughter by asking," You had a dream too?"

Seth's eyes widened in surprise, "Oh, you guys are being serious right now?"

Clearly ignoring Seth, Kratos replied, " Yes. One where you were being reckless in the middle of the forest and being attacked by wolves. You need to learn how to protect yourself and how to not trip over things," he said, a hint of annoyance lacing his words.

" Thanks," I said sarcastically. He chuckled a bit.

Seth said, " Well this is surely a lot of weird stuff to take in, but if you guys are one hundred percent serious that all of these crazy things really did happen, then I guess I have no choice but to stick around. But only because KL is my friend."

I smiled at what Seth said. Even between all of this weirdness and craziness, he was still going to stick by my side. He was a true best friend.

" So where are we heading dude?" Seth asked Kratos.

" I'm not sure. Just somewhere far enough away where we can't be tracked."

I listened to their casual conversation as I zoned out into my own world. Everything from the last few days was replaying in my head. Two red-eyed boys named Jagger and Nicco were hunting me. Kratos Alexanderson was a real person who had the same dream that I did. My parents were dead. I had just came out from the hospital. Now, I was on the run because some people thought that I possessed some type of power. As I drowned in my thoughts, I realized that from that moment on everything that I had ever known was going to change forever.
