Ava's P.O.V

Cold. Everything is cold. My head is cold. My hair is wet and sticky and cold. I open my eyes groggily, my hands moving to touch my hair. I pull them off and look at them. Stained red. Blood red. Blood. I start to hyperventilate. Why is there blood in my hair?

"The operation was successful. You are now 10x smarter."

I start to cry. they operated on my head! I might die because of them!
