TIME SKIP- 1 YEAR

Annabeth's P.O.V

"Hey, Barns?" I ask. "I'm going to collect eggs, okay?"

"Be safe, you idiot." He yells at me.

"Fine!" I yell at him, a bit pissed.

I walk out and take in the scenery. The property is surrounded by woods, meaning that we see deers and other fun things. The neighbours probably don't know we exist, making our home really safe. I collect some eggs, careful so that I wont drop any on the path. I bring them inside and set them down on the bench. I hear something on the TV and walk in to see James sitting on the floor, completely engrossed in a children's show.

"What are you watching?" I ask

"Ladybug." He sounds excited.

"Okay? Do you want omelettes?" I ask

"Yes please!" He yells, his voice happier than it has been for days.

"Okay, kiddo." I smile at him, poking out my tongue.

Nat's P.O.V

I look around at the avengers, sitting down, silent.

"So, we have a lead on Ava." I say, before frowning.

"What is it?" Bruce asks exasperatedly

"A farm just outside of here." I sigh. "I don't know what to do. I just want to respect her privacy."

"Then we should leave her alone."

"But, she's with the winter soldier." I say. "HYDRA could have brainwashed her."

"But she said that she'd be safe." Steve says

"Do you really think that she'd stay safe? She's both SHEILD's and HYDRA's number 1 target. SHEILD think's that she's a threat and HYDRA wants to make her a threat." Clint asks

"We should not fight, friends. Let us find the child and go." He says

We get into cars and drive out to her location.

JAMES' P.O.V

I watch as the main heroes beat the bad guy and cheer. Yes! They won!

"Omelettes are ready!" I hear Annabeth yell out.

"Okay!" I run out and grab them. We sit at the table. Annabeth eats like a civilised human while I eat like I'm a wolf.

"Did the show end?" Anna asks

"Oh, yes." I nod. 

"The good guys win?" 

"Yep"

A nock on the door startles me. Annabeth walks into the kitchen and grabs a knife before going to the door. I hide in my bedroom and hold my breath

Annabeth's P.O.V

"Hello?" I ask, opening the door slightly.

"Ava?" A man asks. I look out slightly. The Avengers

"Sorry, there is no one here called Ava." I say. It's not a lie, really.

"Is there a James living here?"  Steve asks.

"No, sorry." I say

"Oh, okay."

"Is there anyone else that your looking for?"

"An Annabeth?"

"Oh! She recently moved interstate, so I bought this place." I lie.

"Okay, sorry."

"Now go!" I yell, waving my hand out the door.

"Yes ma'am." Steve says, and walks away."
