Clint's P.O.V

She compared me to the winter solider and thinks that he's better! Honestly, I think that Nat's the only one here who knows who 'winter' is. Coulson left to find her an hour ago.

"Who's winter?" Tony asks, 100 times past the limit.

"An assassin. Also the guy who abducted Ava. He works for Hydra." I sigh

"You mean the dead red octopus company of white coats? They were, erm, easy to find" Ava pops up out of nowhere, Coulson in tow.

"What are you talking about? And where in the world were you?" Steve asks. "And who are you?"

"Ava Mill. I'm talking about the company with the dead octopus logo. Thats not a hydra. A hydra is a mythological creature that has many heads not legs. I was to busy trying to find the damned white coat that experimented on me, because if thats all people see in me. I. Want. Out." She glares at me, and a shiver rolls down my spine.

"Well, I'm just glad you got here safe-"

"Nope, Coulson saw to it that I get, what did he call it, Oh yeah! escorted back here so this Fury guy can interview me about my abilities." She growls under her breath. " I was grabbed, held at gun point, told that I am going to interviewed about my powers, and, if I'm not good I'm going to be put down! Like an animal!" Hysteria grows in her voice. "All I see is red, and that was the first time I changed into an owl! SHEILD is going to kill me!" Now she's just plain scared. I would be to, if someone told me that the government wanted me dead. 

And I caused it.

I AM the problem.

She looks at me. Then at Banner. He gets up and pats her back awkwardly.

"I understand." He says to her. "All anyone see's is the big guy, they treat me like I'm a nuclear weapon." He sighs "You've just got to ignore them. Think of" He pauses. "Sarcastic or smart arse comments or retorts. And keep it a secret." I see her mentally take notes. Shit

"Unfortunatly, Dr. Banner your pep talk will have to wait. Miss Mill, come with me." Fury walks in.

"You can't kill her!" Steve cries in outrage. "She's just a kid!"

"That is not your call, Captain." He turns and walks out. Ava stay's put.

"Ava, go. Don't be stupid." Nat says quietly.

"Nope. He can go fuck himself to. Hey! Thats what I told that Barron guy!" She blinks, suprised.

"Umm, Barron who?" I ask

"Barron Strucker, or as I like to call him BS" She smiles. "I told him to go fuck himself when he tried to rename me."

"Miss Mill, come with me now." Fury says in a dangerous tone.

"Not really feeling like flashbacks and dyeing. So, no thanks."

"We just want to"

"Study me?" Her tone goes flat.

"Yes."

"Whats in it for me?" I'm surprised. She's surrounded by people who obey his orders. And Stark. And she wants to know whats in it for her.

"A safe environment to finish your schooling. A potential family."

"I have already finished high school, and uni. I have graduated and have my doctorate for medicine. I am a fully qualified nurse. "

"Okay. Then a job."

"I've got one."

"Your assumed dead."

"Then I'll come back."

"A family then."

"And then what? When will you get sick of humane studying and hook me up to treadmills? Or throw me into a wind tunnel until I pass out, just to see how big the winds can get? Or how long I can fly? Put me into an isolation cell for days to see how many things I can do? force feed me radioactive goop and have a look at my digestive system? Put me against people how are more skilled than I am and make us fight to a knock out? Take blood to see how I'm mutated? See how long it takes for starvation to kick in? All those thing, the death octopus company did to me, and worse, so maybe you can see why I don't trust people with agenda's. They all ways keep the big goal hidden. Are you trying to make more people like me?"

"No. We don't do those things, all though a blood test is required to see who your father is." Fury sounds stunned. Two months.

"Well thats to bad, he left me and Mom when they found out that she was pregnant. He doesn't want me."
