IBIS PAINT TUTORIAL

( the in crowd )

STEP ONE. On a blank canvas add a crumbled paper texture. It can be any color you want.

STEP TWO. Add your faceclaim. For best results use full body renders. They can be standing, kneeling, sitting, or anything else. Just something that isn't cut off anywhere will give the best results.

STEP THREE. You'll want to duplicate the faceclaim layer. Move the bottom layer slightly. Go to effects, adjust color, and change the color to a color of your choice.

STEP FOUR. Add a blank layer in between the two png layers. Go to the effects thing again, choose style and stroke (outer). Adjust to your liking. You can mess around with the color if you want, but I would keep it white.

STEP FIVE. Add your title. Make the color the same color as the color you picked from the last step (I forgot to do that in the first screenshot but you'll see it on the second). Duplicate the layers and rasterize both layers.

STEP SIX. Make a new layer in between the two title layers. Go to effects, style and stroke.

STEP SEVEN. Move the bottom text layer slightly.

STEP EIGHT. Create a blank layer in between the paper texture and the faceclaim texture. Find the star pen (you can watch an ad to obtain this pen). Draw a few stars behind the faceclaim.

STEP NINE. Add your quote, name or extra textures. Save. Filter it.

( OTHER EXAMPLE )

( NOTES )

I've seen many of these types of aesthetic-y (?) covers and decided to try this style out.
