Jungkook stared at the closed door with wide eyes, his heart was pounding inside the ribcage. The door was made with old wood, carrying no paint. It was miraculous that it survived the centuries in the palace, its hinges made a sound to creak against the floor as if telling Jungkook to stop, don't go inside. Some parts of it were swollen due to the rainy season while others were still intact.

He extended his hand after ascending a staircase that led to the door and grabbed the latch. With a light push, the door scraped backward and a dark room came into view. Jungkook didn't step inside, instead, he looked back, his lips parted in surprise when he found no one behind him.

Just a few moments ago, his Alpha was standing right behind him. And now, the hallway was all empty. Only two flambeaus were igniting the entire pathway but there was no individual to be seen. Maybe it was a journey Jungkook has to finish off on his own. Maybe these big doors of the library hold a different persona of the Alpha that he doesn't want to go through again and again. What will it be? What would it be that scares even the Emperor of the Eclipse?

Mushed up in his thoughts Jungkook walked towards one of the flambeaus and uncuffed it from its satchel. He carried the flambeau in his right hand and faced the door of the library once again.

Whatever these doors conceal between you and me, my admiration for you will never change.

Jungkook closed his eyes and chanted these words like a holy verse of a seraphic tale. He wanted to transmit these words of commitment to the Alpha securely, wanted to tuck away the slight fear he observed on those grey orbs.  His eyes flew open, staring right across the dark room. He took the first step of faith and entered the old library.

The light coming from the flambeau showed how big the library actually was. Jungkook walked around it with a hand on its wall, tracing the entire room and igniting the cuffed flambéaus in the corners of the library. When he lightened up the last flambeau, Jungkook left the first one on its satchel too.

All the nine flambeaus lightened up the room as a fireball in the dark sky. The library was big, filled with short and wide racks, shelves full of pages, and dishevelled books. And most important, the dirt and abandonment of the entire room. His chima traced his steps as Jungkook walked deeper into the library, noting down the needs the library requires to get over the surface of civilization.

Jungkook noticed the deserted book lying lifeless on the racks, some open halfway while others stacked so closely that it could be mistaken to assume them a common book. The windows of the room were covered with red curtains, each wall had one set. At the farthest end of the room was situated a chair. Although it looked afresh despite the condition of the entire room, the texture of the wood gave away its age of manufacture.

The table was a square board of mahogany wood and Jungkook declared it as the only clean thing in the library.

However, the hour of the night was odd to start cleaning but Jungkook started the work on his first foot. He collected all of his hair into a group and looked around for something that could be used as a tie for his hair. His eyes found a wooden carved pen on the table, laying beside some unfinished texts. The pen was simple, a beautiful wooden work carved at the end of its sole. Its tip was inkless as if the owner hadn't used it for a while. He picked up the pen and a smile adorned his lips, it will be the perfect pin for his hair. He combed his hair roughly with his fingers and wrapped it around the pen after rolling them in one direction.

The bun was perfect and Jungkook turned around to start his work. Careful with his little mannerisms, he emptied the shelves and stacked the books on the table and around its clean vicinity. The texts and open books came next, he folded them carefully after light dusting and wrapped them into a bundle.

On the other side of the palace, the Alpha stumbled inside his room. His one hand was covering his mouth, holding a bile of vomit. As soon as his other hand gripped the railing of the balcony, his restraints broke through and a blotch of blood tainted the tiles and half of the railings.

His hand put pressure on the centre of his chest, punching the scar that his body still bears. Another blotch of blood gurgled out of his mouth, a heart-shattering pain spread in his entire torso. Taehyung's eyes were shut in sheer pain, hand constantly massaging the scar to ease his breaths but the pain was knocking his body down as he hunched over the railings.

He ignored how his hands were trembling the more he touched the scar. It felt like a similar night when he braced the Cinquedea (a silver blade) for the first time. That night was moonless too, similar to this one and that time he had expected too much just like he is doing right now.

He shook his head in denial and the pain finally brought him to his knees. He spits out the remnants of blood again, the lower lip turning dark red due to the oozing liquid. Moments after moments Taehyung lived that night again, he supported his back against the railing and spit out the venom when the pain started circling his heart again.

He looked up at the stars that were witnessing his pain once again. It would be better if he could be able to control his breaths and mind at one pace. But the pain was increasing with each memory and there was no one who could distract his thoughts, his mind was circling words… his words… like the ticking wall clock of the pack. Similar words, similar voices filled with so much venom that another blotch of blood dribbled out of his mouth.

In the past, when Taehyung had decided to live again. Ella was summoned to the palace by his last breath, she had to make a scar pouch to revive his body again. The venom that his mate stuffed his body with, was ferocious enough to make the Alpha's body paralyzed for a while. It was inconceivable to clear out the venom which was already spread in his veins and punctured his heart. She was successful in collecting the poison in one flame. But it can't be taken out of his body, so Taehyung made a patch with this pain in his life through the years. He knew he would spit blood when his mind would bring back those memories, always does.

It always ends with him passing out when the amount of blood he spits becomes larger than the air his body inhales. He waited till the moment came and his eyes could close to search for relief but tonight it wasn't the consciousness that saved him from the pain but some words that dominated the swirling thoughts of his brain immediately.

Whatever these doors conceal between you and me, my admiration for you will never change.

The Royal Alpha schronched aside to spit another pile of blood and wiped his lips with the back of his palm, smudging the cuffs of his top in deep red. But then the words become frequent, repeated in such a soothing manner that Taehyung's punch starts losing the pressure in them. His trembling fingers were able to grip the buttons of his shirt and wreck them open. The chokehold of his scar reclines in a way that it evolves as a cushion under his neck.

The soft words which were whispered only for his ears spread a wide salvation over the Alpha's body. Taehyung opened his eyes and stared in nothingness, a turmoil of emotions welled up in his veins that brought beats back to his heart. He opened his mouth and with grace of his Empress it wasn't blood that oozed out from his mouth but a fresh breath.

Admiration.

The word brought back the trembles in Taehyung's chest. It wasn't the change that the Alpha feared of, it was the acceptance that he dreads. He spoke to no one on the lone balcony.

"I can accept your wrath, your tears, your disbelief, your accusations, even your hate. Just… don't come to me with guilty eyes. I will become something I don't want."

Those grey iris quivered with moisture before falling shut. The Alpha inhaled slowly, knowing really well that this night will be the longest night of his life.

"Where are you going at such an hour?" Madelyn asked the red haired men standing beside a white horse along with Jimin. Yoongi bowed to the Imperial highness and smiled," The commander of Eclipse is returning tomorrow, I was ordered before to receive his troops on the borders. I'm heading towards the western land of the Eclipse."

"Are you going alone? Took some soldiers with you, they will be helpful and took some healers as well, we don't know how their condition would be after coming back from western fields." He suggested and Yoongi assured that his companions are already chosen by the Alpha a week ago in the southern land. All they need to do is execute the strategy.

"Oh that's a relief then. Have a fruitful journey, Son." Madelyn wished him well but Yoongi kept standing on his spot while his eyes moved to the entrance of the palace.

"What happened?" His Imperial highness asked.

"I'm waiting for the Empress to come. He knows I'm leaving tonight." Yoongi returned his gaze to the entrance once again before looking back at his mate. Jimin was awfully silent today, oftenly he speaks too much till Yoongi does something that leaves the omega speechless. But today the Royal omega wasn't even reacting fully to the news that their mate is finally returning to Eclipse and doesn't even fret over the preparation for his arrival.

He caressed Jimin's hand in a careful notion and that was enough for the Royal Omega to come back to his senses," Do you wanna come along with me? We can welcome him together."

Jimin covered his mate's hand with his own," No. I will just stay here and prepare for his arrival. I.. I don't think Jungkook will come outside. I saw Taehyung taking him to the old library."

Yoongi's brows pinched together in worry," Is it something serious? Should I stay back?"

It is. You should.

Jimin's eyes glossed over as he gulped back the rising anxiety down his throat yet he shook his head gently," You are going for two days right? I will inform you if… if something happened."

Something didn't settle right with the way his mate tensed in his hands. Yoongi looked at the entrance of the palace once again, it's the truth that he is only going for two days and will be back soon. But something was lurking inside him to just stop and run back inside the palace, and stood against the door of the old library. Take over his authoritative position as the guard of the Luna. He missed his mate dearly. Yes, but why-

He felt his hands pressed into comfort by Jimin and then the smile came that took away his concerned thoughts and  melted his worries," Go. I will inform the Alpha that you have ascended towards the western land. We will be waiting, come soon."

Yoongi hugged his mate in gratitude, leaving a hush peck on his cheeks before mounting the horse and leading the caravan to the west.

Jimin followed the waning figure of his mate till his eyes blurred and the image got clouded with much distance. He was quick to turn around when he felt a hand on his shoulder," Mother, it's been four hours already. What do you think? Jungkook will be fine right? Should I visit the library, he shouldn't be alone there."

"Jimin, My son. It would be rather a rise or a fall waiting for the Eclipse. Once this night passes, all of the questions will be answered. We need to be prepared for the outrage this palace is about to endure. We can't barge into the queues of destiny Jungkook chooses for himself. All we can do is wait. It's our turn to be patient now."

He tapped Jimin's shoulder once again before leaving the palace," Want to meet your father? I am going to his barricades."

Devastated with the turning events Jimin found himself following his mother aimlessly. Being alone somehow is scaring him the most right now.

~

After a lot of dusting and deep cleaning of racks, Jungkook starts to pile all of them into a corner one by one. Now the racks were out of the way, the room looked bigger. The Empress moved the curtains of one side and the darkness of the night welcomed him with twinkling stars. Maybe it was the rainy season but today the stars looked gloomy, blurry as if light would dribble out of them and cover the absence of the moon.

Jungkook sat beside the table and started wiping the books one by one. He found many interesting ones, some fictional, some factual, some containing biographies of Royals and deities, some supporting the medical history of wolves. All types of books had found a home in Jungkook's lap. He pinned a note in his mind to ask the Royal Alpha if he could read them once.

As if on routine, Luna picked up a book, wiped its back and front and opened its first page to know about the integrity and type of quality words it holds. Jungkook was enamoured just after witnessing the treasure the Royal Alpha has buried in this old library. The books were littered with artful words, symphonies of literature, powerful spells and tricks and whatnot.

He was on his sixteenth book when Jungkook continued his routine and opened the first page after cleaning its front and back. A crumpled piece of paper fell on his lap deliberately. A white paper that has now turned pale brown, the paper was disarranged in many ways but when he straightened out its creases, his features dulled into a frown.

It was a letter. A similar letter which he read in his chamber before, right after his recovery from the triggered heat. A letter of the Alpha that was addressed towards his past mate. Jungkook felt the blood draining from his fingers, leaving them cold around the thin paper. It felt like some uncanny sensation travelled across his body, making it stiff and still. His eyes were unfocused on the ground, battling with the thoughts of whether he should read it or not.

He remembered the heartbreak he felt after he read the first letter, a sudden bitter taste coating the surface of his tongue. But then he recalled the words of the Alpha.

Burn the part of me that you despise.

Despise was the minimal emotion that Jungkook was feeling right now. It was more of a regressed bitterness towards someone he doesn't even know of, never met in person. But he despises everything related to him. Not the Alpha..but his things related to the past? definitely.

And why?

Because these things still hurt the Royal Alpha, still carries deep significance and unspoken fences between them. These things come more as a symbolization of the past mate and the thought alone urges Jungkook to burn it without giving it a second look.

But it's the heart that always wins against rational thoughts of mind. His heart peaked over the paper that was still stretched on his palms and as if following its beats Jungkook starts reading the letter.

His eyes blazed blue when a course of pain spread on his face, Jungkook blinked back his eyes and took a deep breath.

Eun Hwan.

A name that he has heard for the first time in his life. After reading the letter, the once-unknown shadow in his brain starts creating a known picture of a man called Eun Hwan. A beautiful man as described by the Alpha, his past mate. His heart tugged at each line while he read the letter once again before putting it back into the book.

He won't burn it. No. He won't give the satisfaction to the Alpha that the letters he wrote centuries back are still affecting him. But the truth is… they do affect him deeply.

His mind connected the dots of this letter to the first one and an ugly fact started bubbling up inside his stomach.

What if there are more letters like this? Buried deep in these books, Is that why Alpha wanted me to clean this library?

This time when Jungkook started rummaging through the pile of books, his fingers worked faster, eyes holding desperation of hurt and pain. He wiped and flipped the books over one another after checking its pages. Soon enough his ugly doubt turned into a bitter truth when another letter peaked out of a closed book.

Its colour was paler than the first, with a bated breath Jungkook took the letter out of the book and unfolded it. He felt a sting behind his eyelids before he could read the first line but nonetheless, his mind drowned right into it.

Honeysuckle. Is it Alpha's favourite scent?

Gems. A kind of stone that never attracted Jungkook despite the situation and occasion he had to attend. But the mere thought of his Alpha presenting gems as a courting gift to someone crawled a hideous sensation over his heart.

Hurt people hurt people.

Is that why Alpha left him alone in this room to overcome this enviousness on his own? A subconscious side of his mind that was still focused on the letter raised another question or maybe it was the voice of his wolf.

What did you receive as the courting gift?

Jungkook blanked out for a moment, his heart vibrating in a downbeat. He replied to the mocking letter in his hand," He had saved my life when I met him. Does it count as a courting gift?"

The lifeless letter stays the way it was placed on his trembling fingers, ignoring the wide hurt eyes of the omega. Jungkook blinked his eyes quickly when he found the other one.

"The fur coat he gave me before his departure. The dagger," Jungkook touched his waist where the dagger is still present," He had given me his dagger too."

These entities mean the world to Jungkook but in comparison with the Gems of Elements, their value doesn't exist much.

Jungkook folded down the letter and tucked it back into the book again, ignoring the abbreviation your mate once again," So, Mother and Hyungnim both knew Eun Hwan personally. I thought it was only Alpha who knew."

It makes the presence of his past mate more prominent in existence," Alpha speaks highly of you. You must be a good person." His teeth were pressed together as soon as he finished that sentence.

"But I don't like you." There he said it. His personal truth. He pushed the book into the farthest pile and started his work again.

With each count of books, Jungkook starts to feel the meaning of the words which were written in the letter. With each thought, his heart hurt more. He bit his tongue to divert his mind from the disgusting thoughts.

When he reached the ninetieth book, he found another letter buried deep in a giant language book. It's a language that he hadn't seen before. But the letter was readable as the Alpha wrote it in his native language.

"You wanted to know him, Jungkook. And all of this is a part of him. His past that he lived breath by breath. Don't think much, we have to just get done with them." Jungkook encouraged himself and his wolf and unfolded the letter with fear evident in his eyes.

Jungkook covered his mouth with one hand when his feared features turned into a shocked one. His stomach turns sour and surged bile upto his tongue when he reads Hwanie. It left a rotten taste behind and Jungkook quickly skipped that word.

The Empress of the Eclipse kept staring at the letter with a stillness in his spine. A moonchild? But Legend says that Moon Goddess has never mated another soul. The myths and truths, both were combing into a muddle of history in front of him.

The past mate of the Royal Alpha was the son of Moon Goddess.

An inferiority filled Jungkook's heart when he realised the rank he fell into against the Moonchild. The only child of Moon Goddess, Crown Prince of the Moon realm and the Royal Alpha of the Europe Kingdom. Isn't it the perfect story of a fairytale?

His eyes didn't blink as he traced the words of the Alpha's writing one by one. The letter was placed abandoned on his lap, his world tilted when he recognized his level of fortune once again. What kind of fool is he? It's so foolish of him to even think of comparing himself with the epitome of beauty. Of course! Beside the powerful Alpha of Royals only a special persona like Moonchild would have suited.

What a perfect couple it would be? The Royal Alpha mated with the Moonchild himself, sounds like the perfect historic even written with golden words.

His shoulders slumped when the letter on his lap became heavier than the weight of his soul.

It was centuries ago when the Alpha got Moonchild as his mate but now who is his mate? A loner wolf which is a Crown Prince in just texts of literature. Even listening to it sounds awful and filthy.

He was at his end point when he decided to fold the paper and keep it at the same place it was laying before. He doesn't touch it, finding its weight more pure and powerful than his entity.

You are beautiful.

His mind provides the memory and Jungkook latched onto it with his entire being. As if his whole identity is positioned on these three words of affection.

Jungkook didn't look for letters anymore. He just kept doing his task deliberately, mind running in thoughts and reflections of the letters.

With the grace of mercy, he didn't find other letters. Maybe they are present somewhere but Jungkook is glad it doesn't fall under the vicinity of his eyes. He cleaned the table after stacking the books on the shelves one by one. He was on the last shelf when his eyes fell on another letter.

The letter was sealed shut as if wouldn't got read by the receiver. His heart raced up to his throat and mind became numb, fingers unfolded the letter even before the mind started processing the decision to read it or not.

Jungkook read the letter in one breath and then stuffed it back into the book.

Would you wait for me?

Would you wait for me?

Would you wait for me?

Would you wait for me?

And why didn't the Moonchild wait for the Alpha? If their love was passionate enough to cross the boundaries of two realms then what stopped them from submitting to each other? The thought made a hole inside his heart and it would keep increasing till he finds the truth.

Jungkook starts rummaging through the racks once again, moving books around hurriedly to found the answer of his question. He wanted to find other letter which could ease his heart but surprisingly, there were none left. The books were clean as if the owner had stopped writing altogether.

But Jungkook didn't collapsed under their cruel destiny, he rose with a grace and decided to search the answers till his legs worn out from moving, fingers hurt from scraping each and every pages of books. His clothes were drowned in the dust, a consequence of his extreme hard work.

His chima becomes heavier around his waist as the flares carried a good amount of dirt now. It kept coming in between his steps and when his steps mismatched, Jungkook slipped foward but before falling he grabbed the red curtains. The curtains plucked out from it's hinges and fell over Jungkook, covering his body in a red world.

Jungkook coughed from the excessive dust fallen over him and pushed away the drapes of the curtains. From head to toe his entire body got covered in dirt and dusty spider webs. He pushed the webs from his face with the help of lapels and looked up.

His gaze got pinned on the grand portrait on the wall. He wiped away the webs from his lashes while staring at the painting. In between two flambeaus, the portrait evolves from head to midriff. Jungkook slides back on the floor, pushing his body away from the wall. The midriff came into view first, the portrait's hands holding some kind of beads and arrows. In between the centre of those beads an eye was peeking, Jungkook flinched when the fire in the flambeaus raised its flames and touches the head of the portrait.

The frown on Jungkook's forehead melted away as his face twisted into a horrendous scream, his eyes blown out wide when he recognized the face oh so clearly.

The scream was so loud that the entire abandoned hallway thundered in resonance making the shout echo. When it reaches a certain someone's chamber, the Alpha's eyes shut in grief.

Jungkook pushed himself away from the portrait as away as he could, not caring that his body was getting dragged against the floor. His breaths choked the airways in sudden shock, smudged tears creating streaks on the pale skin of his face. He looked around the empty room and suddenly all the walls appeared as to confound his body, trapping it into a cage.

Jungkook shook his head frantically when his eyes matched with those black orbs again, " N-not me! NO!"

He would have easily made himself fool by analysing this photo as his own but those long black hairs and a significant Hwanie beneath it, took all of his restrains and plunged his body right across his heart.

Jungkook skipped his breaths when he run away from the staring portrait and comes out of the library. He slipped once again but fell before the stairs of Royal hallway.

He caught his breath and looked around for help. He tried to scream once again but as if someone ripped away his energy to speak, no word cover the entirety of his tongue. He heaved a short breath and hunched on his knees.

I'm I-m not. I'm not hihim. n-Not me. No jungkook. Kookie, li-listen it not, no me.

Trying to hide another lie?

A liar.

Someone's betrayal, someone's disloyalty

The words of Alpha starts swirling inside his brain, outraging another scream of pain," NO!! NO!! P-please No!"

He shook his head again, denying any relation of these words with him. He can never hurt his Alpha, never. He has worshiped his mate with all his heart, he can never. No. It's just the face.

Face.

Same face.

Jungkook was about to raise his body from the ground when the sudden realization snatched the floor beneath his feet and once again, Luna's body lost the balance.

"All the h-hate w-was because…. b-because of my f-face? M-my face makes him r-remember his past m-mate? I was h-hurting him from the start?" A chunk of Jungkook's heart got crushed into thin air. His mind brainstromed the moments when his Alpha looked at him with disgust in his eyes in the courtroom.

The Empress of the Eclipse cried in ugly sobs when he realised he was the main reason behind the Alpha's hurt. His ignorance, his anger, his mistrust.

A sheer guilt filled those wet orbs before tears hugged his cheeks and dribble down his chin.

Jungkook pushed his body to the fullest and scrambled on the stairs with fast pace, losing his breaths in between. He ran and ran till his feet stopped in front of the door of the Alpha's chamber.

"A-alpha." Jungkook whimpered in pain while forcing his forehead over the surface of the closed door.

When the whimper fell into Royal Alpha's ear, Taehyung opened his eyes and prayed with his earnest soul that the omega will return to his own chamber. He can taste that guilt on the tone of that whisper, a guilt that implies lies, signifies the forgery of one person as two, indicates that after his every attempt of objection, Jungkook and Hwan are same after all.

His heart pumped the venom upto his mouth again, denying the harsh accusation right then and there but the guilt was heavy in the omega's scent.

Taehyung wiped his mouth and stood up from the floor. He stepped inside the chamber in monotone motions. No matter how strong a wolf is, how powerful its persona is… rejection is something one can't repeat once again. Before the history recite it's riddles, he needs to stop everything.

With each step Taehyung took towards the door, a part of his heart starts slipping away from the cage of his palms. It will wither away in the air once again, leaving him as a stone once again.

Taehyung placed his forehead on the door and sighed, the cries of the omega was hurtful. But the venom in his chest made him remember the past and possible future once again. His hands gripped the shackles of the door and pulled it back slowly.

Jungkook hiccupped on his sobs when the wooden door starts falling back, he pulled back and stood their till the face of his Alpha comes in front of his eyes.

The omegas cries died away when he watches the empty eyes of the Alpha. Jungkook took a step back when his soul couldn't recognise the cold essence in the sandalwood scent. His tears trailed down to his chin, silently.

"A-alpha. It w-wasnt,," he shook his head, trembling fingers pointing down the old library, presenting his innocence through his eyes," Not me."

The Royal Alpha stared into the guilty eyes of the omega, a guilt that always symbolises hidden truths, maybe the omega finally realised what he had done in the past. His utter fear comes undone in between them as the omega stood in front of him with regret and shameful eyes. Does that mean both were same from the start? The wide omegan eyes were enough to deliver the unspoken truth.

Jungkook pointed towards the library again," I'm not.."

"Find out the real you confided in the dirt of the library? The real face of yours, met real you?" The tone carried nothing when Taehyung spoke.

Jungkook's hand froze in the air when he heard the harsh tone of the Alpha. The warmth was absent and when Jungkook heard those words again in his mind, his remaining heart downtrodden into slices. His other hand touched his chest, to ease out the gusts of air, it felt like as if a heavy stone got placed over his ribcage.

He shook his head with wide broken eyes," It's not me. I- I'm not, not him. Who? W-why does he look like me? I'm not-"

Jungkook's entire body flinched when he heard the corning sound of laughing. The Alpha was laughing while his head was thrown back in the air, messy hairs covering the lashes carefully. The sound of the laugh held so much mocking that Jungkook had to take another step back. There was no smile on the Alpha's face yet the sound coming out of his mouth was a laugh.

Taehyung kept looking at the ceiling at the ceiling till his laugh died down and gaze focussed on the omega once again. He watched with mirth in his eyes as the omega took two more steps back.

"Why pretending now? Won't your memories of previous life told you, your deeds? Or perhaps they did already and now you are here, guilty to accept them all?"

Jungkook's face morphed into unbearable pain, more tears spilled out as he shook his head once again," No! I do not know him. What previous life?"

Taehyung took two quick steps toward him, making the omega's eyes widen in fear, "Don't follow me, Taehyung. Your destiny already lives in the dirt, at least let me shine mine. Can't seem to remember?"

Jungkook's whole body shook when Taehyung yelled those words at him. His shoulders quivered in a slump as he looked deep into those blank orbs. The anger was present but it looked empty too," If I say I don't. I-If I say I don't know him. Would you believe me?"

With every ounce of energy left in him, Jungkook asked the question to the Alpha.  His eyes were wide but deeper was the hurt that resides behind those wet eyelids. When no reply came, Jungkook took another step back.

Taehyung stepped forward again," Maybe not right now but you will remember later. A seed never forgets its soil. You will remember your previous life, your betrayal, your lies, your cheatings, your scar-"

"NO! No please N-No!!" Jungkook shut his ears closed from both sides and shook his head," I haven't done anything. I could never. I am not - him. Please believe me, please." He begged with each fiber of his body.

Taehyung stared at the omega with the same gaze he stared when he first saw him. There was no traces of recognition and that's when Jungkook realized something.

"From the beginning till now, You hated me because you thought I was him. Then all the memories we created…" He fell silent, eyes cast down on the ground as all the past days swarmed his heart with the shadows of the memories.

His knees buckled and landed on the floor as of someone sucked the vitality out of him.

Taehyung curled his fists so tightly, nails creating crescent moons on the palms. He moved his gaze away from the broken omega or He will fail his heart. He needs to do this, needs to do this or he could never be able to beat his mind over his heart.

Broke people broke people.

I'm not him. I'm not him. Jungkook kept mumbling the words while looking down on his lap.

"It's a matter of time that you will remember your past. Your guilt will be larger than whatever…… whatever affection you felt towards me." And once again you will leave me.

Jungkook fell silent at that. His eyes were watching his trembling hands, some frickles of dust stuck inside his nails. His vision turned blurry but he kept staring.

"Affection. So this was what it called from my end. Then what was it from your end?"

Jungkook didn't look up yet he asked. His body has left all of it's senses to work together.

"It was my responsibility as the Alpha of this pack. And it will stay like that forever."

The words held nothing against Taehyung's tongue but it shredded Jungkook to the core. Those soft little moments becomes stunts of responsibility in the blink of an eye.

If how a alive person becomes death would be a portrait, Jungkook will fit into its lively example.

"Don't feel responsible towards me from now on." Jungkook gathered himself into his palms and raised from the ground when a polished anger channeled through his veins.

"I will look after myself, still was looking and had looked in the childhood too. You don't have to carry this burden on your shoulders." Jungkook wiped his tears and collected the broken pieces of his soul in the lapels of his hanfu. He took another step back and was about to turn back towards his chamber when the Royal Alpha stepped ahead.

"Till you live under my governance, I will have to. After that I won't stop you."

That wounded Jungkook deeper than death and it crumpled down the facade Jungkook just pulled on his face. Tears pushed forward the edges of his lower eyelid and fell down his cheeks.

"No matter what I say or what I do, your opinions about my character are too strong to clarify, His Majesty. I have no proof with me or any testifier who can swear on my innocence. But It does not mean that I will accept all this nuisance. I deny it with my whole soul and will keep denying it till my last breath." Jungkook didn't stutter once as he turned to reach the door of his chamber before his body could betray him again.

He heard a chuckle from behind his back," Few days and you will eat your words back."

"Only time will tell who will be eating their words back. I command my isolation now." His voice didn't quiver for a single moment. However, his hands kept wiping the falling tear drops from his eyes.

Torn people torn people.
