The day passed by and both Alpha and Luna were indulging themselves in their separate works. Both of them were unknown to the approaching evening of that day. The Royal Alpha spent his entire day in the fields of Eclipse, analysing the samples of the soils for the seasoning crops while Luna joined the courtroom along with the Commander.

The Evening fell in the hue of pale pink and orange covering the entire expanse of the sky. Inside the Lake of Eclipse, Taehyung found himself staring at the fountain where crystal clear water was flowing down onto the marbled floors of the pool.

There was no one around him. The lake was closed for eclipsers except for special occasions. Calm and blank features of the Royal Alpha were watching the flowing water with one breath.

His ears twitched when he heard the fluttering sound of feathers coming from above, he looked up and saw his two doves circling the lake waiting for Taehyung to notice them and permitting them to come closer.

The Royal Alpha moved from his spot and went to the other end of the lake where a big black wooden swing was placed. He sat on the swing making it swing back and forward, he gestured for the doves to come down.

The doves landed on his lap, flocking their feathers for the last time before sitting comfortably. One of them uses its beak to poke at Taehyung's gloved hand and with a sigh, the Royal Alpha takes off the glove.

The site was hideous, the skin was close to rotten and with the way doves fly off to his shoulder, it was stinking as well. Taehyung looked at the dove that was sitting on his right shoulder, he noticed how that dove had a small bundle of shining cloth wrapped around his fragile leg while the other dove was carrying the same cloth around his neck.

"So she prepared the spell for me." The aligned coos of agreement, made Taehyung shake his head.

The Royal Alpha unwrapped the shining cloth and unfolded it. There was a small bottle of white potion that was completely dried from any moisture. Taehyung opened the bottle and sprinkled the white power over his burnt hand.

He hissed a little when his raw skin felt the power of the potion, it burnt more before a golden energy covered his whole hand and soon the wound disappeared into nothingness.

With sighing a breath, Taehyung realised," And here I thought she had died decades ago." He closed the bottle and kept it inside his suit's front pockets.

He looked at his hand and found it completely clear, with no burnt marks, no scratchy skin and especially no bite marks.

The doves flew down from his shoulders and sat on his lap, the swing was swinging back and forth, and the attached chains to its hinges were making minimal sound during the motion but they were hearing something else as well. Sound of footsteps.

The Royal Alpha lifted his face and tilted his head to look through the small fences of the trees. It was.... The Royal Empress.

Jungkook lifted his veil from his face as soon as he stepped inside the area of the lake. He looked up and closed his eyes, with the way his chest was contracting and expanding, it seemed the omega was taking deep breaths.

Jungkook opened his eyes and sat across the shore of the lake on his knees. Six months before, He had found this place and he doesn't know why this place has such soothing air that made him addicted to it. He often comes here to take a little rest before going to fulfil his next duty.

He shifted a little closer to the shore and bearing a palmful of water in his hands, he splashed the cold water across his face. The cold drops made his warm skin relax instantly. A smile occurred on Jungkook's lips as the drops cascaded down from his face. The tiredness of all day long felt waning away from his body.

He let his face dry on his own and decided to sit there for a little while. Though his sensitive nose made him turn back just to witness his mate sitting on his favourite swing and his eyes were gazing right over him. Their eyes met for a second before Jungkook stood up from his seat and greeted the Royal Alpha.

"I didn't know you would be here at this hour, Alpha." Jungkook walked up to the elder. The King stopped the swing calmly while placing his feet on the ground rigidly. He was sitting there but his eyes were roaming all over the approaching omega.

The more Jungkook was stepping closer to the swing, the more Taehyung wanted to stop him.

The invisible doves fluttered their wings on his lap and cooed, they were tired of the two-day-long ride to the west. Combining their necks around each other, the couple of doves sighed in comfort.

Jungkook delivered a small smile to the alpha as his feet stopped a little far from the swing. But his smile became larger when his eyes fell over the Royal Alpha's lap.

Taehyung was sure it was an illusion, an illusion where the omega was staring at his lap without blinking, it couldn't be, whatever he was thinking could never be the reason. The omega can't see the doves, he could never be. It's not even possible. But the next words of the omega stopped the time, the wind that was breezing across the water of the lake and the minimal motions of Alpha's eyes.

"Are these doves?"

Three words. For someone, it could be only three words but for Taehyung, it becomes difficult to breathe. The paleness that spread over his entire features was something that has never happened before.

Jungkook smiled widely and looked at the Alpha but the Royal Alpha was just staring at him. Maybe he didn't want to talk, Jungkook thought. He took one more step ahead and gasped lovingly, his eyes turned soft along with his smile when he noticed their combining necks.

"They are couples?" He asked quietly, noticing the closed eyes of the doves. They were in deep slumber.

"Have you also given them any names?" Jungkook asked lastly before he pulled his gaze out from the Alpha's lap.

Maybe it would be easier to just vanish into the air. Maybe it would be easier to kill the source before its light starts stinging the eyes. Maybe it would be easier if Taehyung talked back. Maybe it would be easier if the Royal Alpha could move his eyes away from the omega.

But his heartbeats were stuck just like his eyes. Destiny indeed loves to play games with Taehyung. In one or another form, it would be only him on the receiving end.

Jungkook felt bad when he couldn't get any response from his mate but he couldn't stop himself after seeing the adorable white doves, cooing in their slumber on his Alpha's lap.

"Am I distur-"

"Hail to the Empress." The voice of the soldier was loud enough to be heard by the Royal couple.

Jungkook put his veil down on his face and turned to the door of the lake. At the far end of it, one soldier was standing with his head low.

"You have my attention. Please speak." The Royal Empress said politely.

"A bunch of eclipsers have gathered in the courtroom. They want to have your opinion on something and have been asking for your presence, your Empress." The soldier replied.

Jungkook turned back to the Alpha and bowed a little," I should take my leave now." The Alpha didn't reply, didn't even give a nod in response. It made Jungkook a little uneasy. Did he say something wrong? Something that shouldn't be said or he shouldn't have approached the Alpha when he was having rest?

Jungkook followed the soldier out of the lake. He was still thinking about his Alpha's behaviour when he stopped and turned back to see him again. His heart thundered when he found his Alpha's unwavering gaze. Taehyung was still looking at him with the same intense eyes.

And Jungkook hates when he couldn't understand the emotions behind those blank grey eyes... only if he could read them... only if he could know the pain of his mate. He swears on his life, he would do anything to remove it.

His eyes landed over his Alpha's lap again and his heart lurched for the sleeping doves. A man who loves animals so much, a man who takes care of his pack as his own children, a man who killed his own grandfather just to protect his elder brother.... yet Hates his own mate?

It is something that is not settling right into Jungkook's heart, something he can't believe. Something is missing and this missing piece is causing so much pain between them.

Though he knew that patience is the key to their relationship. But whenever his eyes see his Alpha blank and mute, it makes something die inside him. But he can't do anything, not until his Alpha at least tries to open up to him.

With a heavy feeling in his heart, Jungkook turned around again and followed the path to the courtroom.

The next day came and went in such a hurry that Jungkook didn't even realise that he hadn't had any food in his stomach. It was nighttime when he stepped inside the kitchen to give some food to his grumbling stomach. But he didn't expect to see his hyung making soup for the Royal omega who was standing beside the beta with a blushing face. No maids, no servants, just the two mates.

Jimin noticed Jungkook and pulled him inside the kitchen and made him sit on one of the makeshift stools.

"I haven't seen you both since yesterday. Where were you?" Jimin asked the younger one.

"Both?" Jungkook said with confusion written all over his face.

Jimin nodded his head while his small hands grabbed a bowl to pour some soup into it, although the beta stopped him and took the bowl to pour it himself. The stove was hot and the beta couldn't take the risk of burning the precious fingers of his mate.

Jimin turned to hide his smile and replied to Jungkook," Yes, you and your mate. I thought you both were together on pack rounds."

"No. I went alone. Come to think of it, I haven't seen Alpha as well. Not after the previous night." He said with a small smile and thanked Yoongi who gave him the bowl filled with hot soup.

Jimin tilted his head in confusion and wondered," Did something happen last night?"

Yoongi picked another bowl for Jimin and poured the soup. He placed it on the counter just beside the elder who grabbed it with a thankful smile. He picked a small ladle to drink the soup, his tongue was ready to taste the magical soup his mate had made for him with so much effort.

Yoongi was always like this with him. He will talk less but shows care more. So much care that Hoseok always teases him around Yoongi. Maybe the other was still hesitant towards the Royal omega but Jimin... he wants to know more about Yoongi on a personal level.

"Nothing. Nothing happened. We met around the lake, Alpha was with his doves. I asked him about the doves and then...I don't know... he didn't say anything, Hyungnim."

The ladle slipped through Jimin's fingers, soiling the skirt of his orange hanfu he wore as today's outfit. The sound grabbed Yoongi's attention instantly," Your highness, are you alright?"

Jimin was looking down over the small drops of the soup he just scattered yet his mind got frozen over a few words from Jungkook. His wide eyes were staring down, he lifted his face and found both red-haired men in front of him.

He covered his expressions with embarrassment and chuckled a little," I am sorry. It just slipped, I will clean it, excuse my manners."

"There is no need to worry about it. I will clean it but your skirt got stained." Yoongi was already on his toes to take the mop out from the kitchen stock.

"Ahh yeah. I will be back in a few."

"I'll come with you." Jungkook proposed, the soup was long forgotten on the stool.

"No no. Please eat, Jungkookie. It's just a small stain. Stay here and eat properly...Yoonie?"

Yoongi looked at the Royal omega in response and Jimin continued," Please look if he finished the bowl or else I will complain about it in front of the eclipse tomorrow."

Yoongi smiled and pointed at Jungkook," Sit down and finish it."

"You both are treating me like a pup, hyungnims." Jungkook grabbed the bowl and sipped the goodness of it with a small pout evident on his face.

Someone should.

Jimin wanted to say that but he was in a rush when he left the kitchen with hurried steps. As soon as he reached the end of the hallway of the kitchen. He picked up the edges of his skirts and bolted towards the old Royal library.

The most possible place where his brother could be present right now.

However, in the middle of his ride, his wolf informed him; the scent is the strongest in the Royal hallway.

Jimin stopped and pressed his lips in a frown while skipping the stairs of the Royal hallway in one breath. He reached in front of his brother's room and sighed, leaning against the wall.

He knocked at the door over and over but no sound or order came from behind. He sighed and opened the door, feeling a little bit anxious as well.

He entered the room, closing the door behind him. The room was dead silent, with no sounds coming from any kind of movement. The only light source in the whole room was the light coming from the open window.

Jimin didn't waste a second approaching Taehyung when he found him sitting on the bed with his back facing him.

"Taehyung. Jungkook saw the doves." Jimin said with a big smile on his face. He was still breathing heavily because of the run he made through the hallway. But he can run miles if it means sharing such good news with his brother.

"Now you can believe that his feelings are true. He is not faking anything. Taehyung, you had told me about those doves, I remember!" In between his happiness, Jimin starts reminding Taehyung of everything he knew about the doves from the past.

"Those doves aren't normal. They are immortal. They are immortal because they aren't born naturally like others. They were made by using your powers and... and your past mate's powers."

"They are love doves. Only lovers who made them can see them. And you had told me that only you and the person that loves you truly will be able to see them. Now... now our Luna has seen them."

"You know very well what it means. Maybe now your doubts are cleared about him. He has no ill intentions. The proof is in front of you."

Jimin come around the bed to explain more to his brother," It's so sudden I know but I believed Jungkook, I knew his sentiments towards y-"

The Royal omega stopped his rambling abruptly. Was that a tear? That he just witnessed?

"Tae..." It was a slow whisper that fell out of the omega's lips when he saw another tear on his brother's cheek.

His lips were sealed into a thin line, his eyes were fluctuating between golden and grey and his hands were fisting the edge of the bed to control himself. He was looking down, head hung between the shoulders.

Jimin moved slowly toward Taehyung as if he was approaching a wounded predator. He sat on his knees but didn't try to touch his brother, he didn't wipe the tears of Taehyung. His own eyes were tearing up as well.

The Royal Omega was unable to explain if he was shedding happy tears that finally his brother was crying or showing emotions like normal wolves or if he was matching painful tears with his brother.

The pain of ages.

Taehyung gritted his tears to control the growl and closed his eyes, letting the last tear fall out from his eyes. 1700 years. 1700 years' worth of blankness can't be removed by a sudden prank of destiny. He is not a puppet of the moon goddess, not anymore.

He takes big gulps and helps his wolf to calm his nerves. Nothing will change, he will not let it change. If it is a test of his patience then destiny is striking the wrong person.

When Taehyung opened his eyes, he looked a little more dead to Jimin. The eyes were looking right into Jimin and the blankness in them tore his heart into two.

"Tae, don't -"

The Royal Alpha stood up from the bed and went to the window," Tell the commander to prepare for my departure. My wolf is suffocating here, I need to leave."

Jimin shook his head in denial," Don't do this. Taehyung, please. Just now you came back after nine long months, things will get out of control if you leave now."

"And I know it's hard-"

"You know nothing." Taehyung jerked his head toward Jimin and said again," You.know.nothing."

The Royal Omega's gaze turned soft," Believe me, I know brother." Jimin closed his eyes and sighed.

He chuckled bitterly," And here I thought that you would end your misery now but I think years of pain had made you addicted to it."

"But you know what is more pitiful?" The Royal omega asked.

Taehyung glared at Jimin but Jimin continued," That you are crushing someone's pure love to call yourself a victim of destiny." He knows he was speaking too much but why can't Taehyung just understand.

"Get out."

"Destiny has brought you the fortune of love again. I know after showing the cruelness this care doesn't matter. But This is the nature of the universe. If you keep holding on to your past, it will only ruin your present." Jimin said with sincerity, praying internally that somehow his brother changed his decision of leaving.

"I have summoned the Commander. You can leave now." The order was clearer this time.

Jimin wanted to say so much, wanted to talk back, wanted to cry and make his brother understand. But seeing Taehyung's stiff composure, he knew he had no chance.

He nodded his head, eyes full of hurt and left the chamber.

The commander had passed half of the Royal hallway when he noticed the prince walking in a daze. He went near the omega and saw the unshed tears of the prince hugging the bay of his eyes but wasn't oozing out.

"Prince?"

Jimin looked up and pushed himself into the commander's arms without any words and hoseok let the omega cry. Their arms are entangled around each other in the middle of the Royal hallway. The commander's fingers were caressing the top of Jimin's head.

Maybe the Royal omega had visited the King, Hoseok realised. "Tell me before what is waiting for me inside His Majesty's chamber? Tell me so that we can solve it."

Jimin cried more and hugged his mate tightly," He is taking the stupid decision of leaving again. Something good happened and now he wants to push that happiness away from his life."

Hoseok understands what the Prince is implying and maybe he had a solution as well. But the solution will be a little hard to acknowledge.

"I have something in mind. I will try to stop His Majesty. Stop crying now, My highness." Hoseok pulled away a little and wiped his tears.

"You mind linked me that Yoongi was preparing a meal for you. You didn't eat it yet, did you?" Hoseok asked.

Jimin shook his head, he doesn't have any appetite now.

"Please finish your meal and I promise I will bring you delightful news," Hoseok said with a small smile, Jimin looked at him and the refusal was on the tip of his tongue but the commander was looking at him with hopeful eyes.

"Please, for us?"

Jimin looked down and nodded his head," I will be down in the kitchen. But if my brother even tries to scare you, you will summon me okay?"

Hoseok smiled and nodded back. He came closer and placed his lips on Jimin's forehead lightly. The Royal omega always cherished the language of touch and the commander was aware of it. Jimin closed his eyes and sighed in contentment.

"We will wait for you in my chamber," Jimin replied and let his mate caress his now dried cheeks.

The journey from the hallway to the King's chamber was the longest journey Hoseok travelled in his life. It felt like it. His mind and heart were working all together to speak his emotions and intentions clearly in front of the Majesty.

He is thinking of proposing something to the King. Something he wanted to try for a few months. He was hesitating before but now the opportunity is here and from the past months he realised the need for it.

It needs to be done for the success of their fated bonds.

The commander held his composure and knocked on the door," Your Majesty."

"You may come inside." The commander gulped a little and opened the door to get inside the chamber. The flambeaus in the corners were enlightened and the room had much more illumination as compared to before.

The Royal Alpha was sitting on his chair behind the black table diligently working on some papers.

"Your Majesty."

"The western packs of Europe summoned me last night, their cattle are dying one by one. No plague or pattern is noticeable yet the deaths are increasing. Please prepare the necessities for my departure, I would like to leave tomorrow morning." Taehyung said, his quill was constantly working on the paper, and the king was dipping it in the blank ink once in a while.

The commander bowed a little and decided to say," I'm afraid that your departure right now would not be suitable for the land of Eclipse, Your Majesty."

Taehyunh stopped his quill from writing and looked up," And why is that?"

"Last night the Eclipsers informed Luna and me about the increasing infertility of soil in the northern land. The productivity of crops is decreasing year by year and it's affecting the future economy as well. However, we have enough stock of grains that will not finish in the upcoming three years. But before the land becomes totally barren we need to look into it."

It brings a serious frown to Taehyung's face," And did you have looked over it personally?"

"Yes, Your Majesty. Along with the Royal Empress, I visited the north today and the conditions are not good at all. We have to find a solution soon."

Taehyung leaned his back on the backrest of the chair and asked," And what thoughts does the Empress have on it?"

"His Empress said he will need your assessment to reach a decision."

Taehyung rested the quill into the inkpot and put his elbow on the table before bringing his fist closer to his lips. The thinking posture of his and the commander was more than familiar with that.

"But we can't ignore the problem of westerns, it's more vital. Someone has to go." The Alpha replied.

"In that case, I have a solution. I would like to visit the westerns and handle the problem on a close level, Your Majesty." Hoseok suggested.

Taehyung's eyes found the commander and the question was asked right away," Why would you want to propose something like this? You can stay here and assist your luna in the fields."

"My apologies, Your Majesty. But I am more good with weapons and political natures of the pack instead of agricultural activities. Moreover, I am seeking a personal benefit from this visit as well." Hoseok said finally.

"What kind?" The King asked, now giving his full attention to his commander.

"A good kind, Your Majesty." The commander knew he couldn't even try to hide anything from the king so he decided to be truthful about his intentions.

"My other two halves are still hesitant towards each other and sometimes I become the communication bridge between them. If I am not around they tend to stay away and even avoid each other due to simple cautiousness. Yoongi felt hesitant because of Your Highness's enormous status and he often speaks less, suggests less and appears less in front of him." Hoseok said and looked up, he found the king listening to him with attention so he decided to continue.

"And for Prince, he openly tries to communicate with Yoongi but Yoongi's constant awareness and hesitancy is making him conscious about himself. Both of them don't have difficulties around me but I want them to communicate in my absence as well. It's not the first time that I am giving them alone time. The last week I spent on pack border in your absence and when I came back, I found them communicating through mild gestures." The commander sighed, a smile forming on his lips from the memories of his mate.

"But the visit could be longer than two months. Your wolf isn't experienced enough with the separation." The Alpha stated.

"Luna's wolf is even less experienced than me, Your Majesty." Hoseok delivered with his head low in respect. He wasn't intended to talk back but he wanted to put his point of view more logically.

"Your absence would be more painful than mine. I have two mates who would take care of each other's wolves in my absence and I have at least eight years of experience of being mated, however, I was unaware of it but I have experienced that constant pain in my chest. And I'll be careful, your Majesty." Hoseok said with a finality in his voice, he was politely gazing down while his one hand was clutching his dagger for a little support to keep standing and talking like this in front of the Royal Alpha.

"Have you talked about this wish of yours with your mates?" The Alpha asked.

"I will, once His Majesty makes the decision. I have hinted about it to the Prince and it's necessary for westerners as well so they will understand."

The commander expected the Alpha to come around him and maybe experience his touch just to confirm if the beta is speaking the truth or not. But he wasn't expecting his Alpha to resume his position and lift the quill again before continuing his work on paper.

"If you leave at dawn, you have a chance to reach there before the evening of the next day." Taehyung finished the conversation with short words and indulged in his work again.

The happiness and utter respect for their Alpha bloomed inside the commander. So he bowed thankfully," Please accept my bow, Your Majesty."

Alpha nodded his head but didn't look up from the papers. Now the commander needs to talk with his mates and then everything will be fine.

The commander turned around and went to the door. He was about to exit when he realised something else. It will be his last night here and he wouldn't be here for the next two months. So maybe he should say what he had in his heart for a while now.

He didn't turn around but tilted his head to the left a little, his voice was slow but he knew their Alpha would listen," Your Majesty, a heartful soul had come from Lunar after being secured in your fate. He had adopted the nature of Eclipse, accepted the rules and regulations and accepted the people of our pack. He stays just the way you like, eats just the way you like, wears just the way you like. Sometimes forgot to eat while indulging in work, sometimes forgot to rest while listening to the problems of Eclipsers, sometimes climbed the trees to give fresh fruits to the pups of the pack. In return, he never expresses anything, never shows interest in materials. Just seek your presence around him."

"I have observed our Luna in the most difficult situations. Yet he kept his calm the same as cold water and solved everything with the flow. Providing warmth and nurturing the pack is the omegan nature but if the same omega starts losing the tenderness, it's a signal of devastation. The things that your small attention and appreciation can do, could be never done by anyone else. Sometimes, look after our Luna, Your Majesty. In an unknown pack, He came here only for you, become a luna of our pack only for you."

"Forgive me if I am talking bigger than my mouth, my intentions are smitten only for Eclipse's well being." The commander grabbed the doorknob and exited the room. He closed the door behind him carefully and slid down against the wall while clutching his hanbok's shirt over his chest.

"Oh lord." He whispered to himself. "I was this close to passing out, moon goddess have mercy." Hoseok slapped his own mouth with his hand and shook his head eagerly.

He stood up from the floor and crossed the Royal hallway. His nose told him that the Empress was not in his chamber before he turned toward the Royal omega's chamber. He had a smile on his face, after all he completed his promise. He is surely going to meet his mates with happy news.

Jungkook discarded his crown and kept it on the dressing table, next comes his veil which he hung on the pole. He had come to the chamber directly from the courtroom and he needed to discuss the matter of land with the Royal Alpha. But Jungkook was being hesitant," It's already night, what if the Alpha was sleeping and I will disturb his sleep."

His concern was genuine but the discussion was important as well. They need to come up with a solution otherwise the Eclipse wouldn't be able to produce seasonal crops this year.

After walking back and forth in his chamber for a good fifteen minutes. Jungkook decided on the middle path, he will go to the Royal Alpha's chamber and will knock on his door only one time. If the Alpha is awake he will let him enter and they will talk and if no reply comes that means the Alpha is sleeping. So in this way, both of his concerns will be satisfied.

Jungkook nodded to himself and opened his door to exit his chamber. He walked to the Alpha's room and stood before the door.

Taehyung was grabbing his jacket as he was getting ready to analyse the northern land when his nostrils flared and picked up the rosemary scent coming from outside of his chamber.

His ears twitched when they heard the softest knock against his door.

Taehyung hadn't stepped out of his chamber today. A total of three people knocked on his door and with the way of their knocking Taehyung was able to recognise their internal turmoil.

The first knock was from Jimin who was excitedly knocking to share the happy news with him. The second knock was from the commander who gave a determined knock on his door but now... this third knock contains the concern for his well being.

On the exact opposite side of the door, Jungkook was waiting for Alpha's response. He waited more than three minutes and when he couldn't get any answer he took a step back.

Turning around, he tried to walk away but when the authoritative voice of his Alpha came from behind the closed door, Jungkook stopped in his steps.

He approached the room again and opened the door. The Royal Alpha was standing in the middle of the chamber, a black jacket was adorning his shoulders, leaving only two options for Jungkook. Either his Alpha was going somewhere right now or he just arrived from his visit.

His eyes were roaming around the room. This is the first time Jungkook was seeing his mate's chamber. A large bed made with black mahogany wood was placed at the far end of the room. Black silk covers and bedsheets along with cushions.

Two out of four flambeaus were igniting the whole chamber, providing a lush look to the furniture of the room. The room contains two chairs and a black wooden table where various amounts of papers was scattered right now. On the other side, a large mirror along with three closets are placed. Two closed doors, one of them might be for the bathroom and the other for the balcony.

The chamber has black curtains, unlike his creamy ones.

Taehyung watched how the omega closed the door behind him and stepped inside the chamber in slow steps. He doesn't have the crown over his head or the veil behind his back, front hairs were tucked behind in hairpins leaving them open from the back and the omega was looking thinner than before. The lips were chapped due to the lack of moisture.

Taehyung wanted to leave this information as it is but it was striking his brain over and over.

"Have you been going somewhere Alpha?" Jungkook asked after bowing to the King.

Taehyung looked away from the omega and nodded his head," I am going to see the land of northern Eclipse. The commander told me about the fertilizing issue and I need to analyse it by myself."

Jungkook blinked his eyes and nodded his head," Actually I came here to have a discussion with you. It's about the northern land as well."

Taehyung brought both his hands behind his back and tilted his head to one side," Yes, I am hearing."

Jungkook was still standing beside the door, but he decided to continue the conversation from here," I have visited the land in the morning and from my analysation, the land lacks minimal nutrients to reproduce again, the outer layer of the field was dried to the point that even the excessive water is not melting the barren stones of soil."

"You mean the land didn't even produce wild grass?"

"Yes, it's completely clean, No greens would be visible no matter how far you look," Jungkook said with seriousness covering his features.

"That means we need to leave that land without crop production for a few years till it gains its fertility back." The Alpha stated.

The confidence flared inside Jungkook as he stepped closer to the Alpha but not too close," I agreed Alpha. I am also suggesting the paring and burning method. We need to burn down the leftover debris of previous crops and return the nutrients to the soil in the form of ash. That way the soil will be fertilized in half time. But for the meantime, we need to look for another land which could replace the northern lands for some years."

"The bushes of the south had never been used for crop production before. If we clear the land and partition it in particular patterns, it could be helpful because its soil has excessive fertility in it." Taehyung suggested while taking the next step, closer to the omega.

"Then we need to act right away. Next month rain season is coming and before that, we need to clear the land and let the Eclipsers sow their crops or the rain might ruin everything." Jungkook suggested this and took another step.

"It could be done effectively if two teams got divided, one can clean and prepare the new land while another team can help to burn the leftover debris in the previous land," Taehyung said tilting his face a little away from the omega. Only one hand distance remained between them and they didn't even realise, who approached whom? Who took the first step and who would take the last one? There are no answers to these questions.

"I can lead one team to the northern side and accommodate the leftovers to burn them in small groups." Jungkook proposed.

And just like that, the last step was taken by Luna. They were standing in front of each other, however, their gazes weren't meeting each other's eyes.

"No. The soldiers will take care of that." Taehyung refused in one breath.

Jungkook looked up and met Taehyung's eyes who were already looking at him through the black curls resting on his forehead. A frown appeared on Jungkook's face as he took one more step toward the Royal Alpha, completely invading his privacy.

His lips parted in a muted gasp when he looked into Taehyung's eyes," Did you cry earlier?"

Jungkook's heart squeezed painfully when he witnessed the moisture still lingering around the corners of the red-rimmed eyes. Something has changed. These eyes weren't like before, though the blankness was the same they weren't drought anymore.

Taehyung again left speechless. The surprise in his eyes was evident for a moment before the Royal Alpha turned his head away.

He wasn't expecting the soft fingers around his chin before his head got turned into the previous position again.

Jungkook touched the cheeks softly and asked again," Is it because of me? Did I make you upset?"

Taehyung watched how Jungkook's eyes were tearing up and a pain that screams guiltiness covered the omega's face entirely.

"It's nothing. I will declare the announcement about the lands in the morning." Taehyung turned and undressed his jacket in front of the closet. He doesn't need to visit the land when he already got a detailed analysis from the pack Luna.

"It must be about yesterday's night." Jungkook looked down and thought," But I had only asked about the doves."

Taehyung closed his eyes and stopped his eyes from gleaming golden. He needs to avoid this situation but before that, he needs to agree on some terms with the omega where they can fulfil their duties without invading their personal spaces.

"On the terrace, you told me that you have a habit of only answering the things when they are being asked to you. But you didn't answer me yesterday even after asking and still avoiding my questions." Jungkook accused the Alpha in the most polite words.

"This is nothing that will change something between us. So please, don't invade my privacy." The Alpha said and placed his jacket into the closet. He opened up his cuffs and rolled up the sleeves to his forearms, the material tightening around his biceps.

Jungkook bit his lips and looked down," Us."

Taehyung heard the whisper and something dark stirred inside him. The omega should leave his chamber soon or he will-

"Is there something like "us" in this relationship?" The question was vulnerable and holding such hurt that Taehyung couldn't even look in the direction of the omega.

"You are surely hiding something from me. Jimin hyungnim is also hiding, whenever I asked he took the excuse of not knowing or unable to explain it. I don't have any problem with your past Alpha, you had a mate and I respect that." Jungkook doesn't know from where he was getting enough courage to let everything out in front of the King but the words weren't just stopping.

"I respect you as a person, as a king. And I do receive respect from you as well which I'm grateful for. But sometimes I felt worthless, foolish and unaware of many things. Some questions build up in my head that needs answers but you never compiled." Jungkook stepped towards the closet and stood behind the Alpha.

Taehyung turned back and found the omega standing in front of him," I do answer your questions. I did that on the terrace and I was all honest."

"Yes and I very well appreciate that, Alpha. Now answer this question as well, who are those doves? And why did you seem so upset last night?" Jungkook asked, a wild sensation was building up inside his body causing the hairs of his arms to stand in fury.

Taehyung sighed and looked away. He ignored the omega and went to the desk to collect the paper in a bunch.

Jungkook's shoulders sagged in tiredness, the fury turned into sadness when he saw the Alpha doing his work without minding his presence.

"Oh... so I need to find it myself. Okay, I think I know where I should look first." The words were spoken by Jungkook and the omega strode toward the door.

Jungkook held the doorknob and twisted it around but before he could pull the door, a hand came from behind and slammed the door shut in front of his face.

His body got turned around and Jungkook found himself leaning against the door while the Alpha was hovering over his body. The speed of the movements was so fast that Jungkook saw white and black dots before his eyes focussed on his Alpha's face.

"Don't you dare."

The voice held order and command that Jungkook knew he would never disobey but the Alpha didn't have to know that.

"I will. A luna has permission to barge into anything suspicious and anything that belonged under Alpha's territory was considered to be his as well. I have every right to disclose the truth." Jungkook didn't realise whether he was speaking or not but he could surely see the change in those grey eyelids, they were turning fierce.

Alpha came closer, so close that Jungkook's entire body was pressed against the door. Their breaths were crashing into each other and that's when Alpha's eyes fell on those chapped lips again.

Jungkook's heart was stopped or maybe skipping on the heartbeats when he felt a hand travelling across his waist. Both of his hands were supporting his back on the door and Taehyung took his left wrist and twisted it in the opposite direction. Jungkook hissed in pain but Taehyung pulled the omega against his chest," I'm warning you. Don't you dare to indulge yourself in my matters? Stay away from me."

Jungkook didn't settle back, months of ignorance and denial had made him stronger than before," Should have thought about it before bringing me here. You indulge me in your life, you courted me in front of my entire pack instead of rejecting me. It wasn't my fault. No."

"Sss Ahh-" his wrist keeps getting twisted making the younger stand on his toes. His face is getting more closer to Taehyung.

"You have a large place in the heart of Eclipse but don't expect anything from me." Taehyung threatened the omega with his low voice.

"I am just expecting a fair chance for myself," Jungkook whispered back, his blood running with the speed of a hurricane inside him.

You have lost that chance way before your birth.

Taehyung wanted to say but nothing left his lips. He watched the omega under him, a painful frown was evident on his lips, eyelids focussed on him.

"But the only thing I expect from you is... being civil around my pack members."

Jungkook nodded his head stubbornly," Okay, so how much civilness do I need to fake around the Eclipsers. Is this much closeness enough?" He gestured to their position and Taehyung looked away.

The Royal Alpha leaned closer to Jungkook's neck before whispering into his left ear," Expectations only bring pain, Stay away from this disease before it eats you whole."

Jungkook shuddered in his position, body slacking into Taehyung's arms without any effort. The small space was wafting with their combined scent, Jungkook closed his eyes and rested his head on Taehyung's right shoulder.

The Royal Alpha loosened up his grip from his wrist but didn't leave his hand. He pulled it in the front and something soft passed his eyes when he looked at the red finger marks on Jungkook's pale wrist. And The soft look went completely unnoticed by Jungkook.

He opened his eyes when he felt a tongue gliding over his wrist. He held his breath inside and peeked at his Alpha who was healing the marks on his wrist.

And he just wants me to be civil with him.

Taehyung held his head low so that he could reach the marks properly and it made his neck pressed against Jungkook's nose. With every whiff of his Alpha's scent, Jungkook finds himself losing completely.

Jungkook pulled away and stared at his mate. The voice was close to a confession when Jungkook spoke it out loud," Find another mate if you want someone to be just civil with. Because Alpha, Your this mate doesn't have the ability to fake emotions. My every action and every word will always include your well being."

Jungkook moved closer and his lips touched Taehyung's right cheek, sealing his words into the promise of eternity.
