Wake up.

Jungkook's eyes flew open when he heard Kookie's words in his mind. He lifted the silky blanket out of his eyes and looked around, the sun was peeking through the corner of the window. His eyes went wide as he hurriedly tried to sit up, he was late. Last night, his mind and heart were so excited that he couldn't fall asleep.

He slept late and now he woke up late from his usual rising time.

He was ready to go to the bathhouse to wash up quickly then he realised, I am late for exactly what? It's not like he is in Lunar where his mother would order to whip his back 100 times for waking up late? No. He is in Eclipse, under the territory of his Royal Alpha. 

Then why? Why did his wolf wake him up?

"Kookie? What happened?" Jungkook asked, clearing his bed from all the wrinkles and creases he created with his squeals last night. He was literally rolling on the bed just like his wolf inside.

He couldn't help it, got too joyous when his Alpha praised him last night. 

I don't know Jungkook, I felt suffocated, that was a strange feeling. Jungkook dropped the blanket in the closet when he heard his wolf.

Are you feeling fine now? 

Yes, I am. I think you ate too much last night. I can understand that our Alpha was feeding us and no one has fed like that before but that doesn't mean you had to eat like a giant whale.

Jungkook gasped. 

I didn't. I just don't realise! You could have stopped me!!

This time, Kookie gasped.

How could I? I was too intoxicated by our Alpha!

Me too!! We both are the same. I am you, you are me! 

Jungkook felt his wolf fall on his face first while his tail was swinging right to left. I know Jungkook, sorry, but why are we so affected by our Alpha's presence that we always get lost in the moment?

Jungkook also asked himself that question yesterday, when he was standing beside that Royal chair and his heart was beating like crazy. but he didn't find any answer in him.

Don't know kookie. We have seen several couples in our life whether it was in Lunar or here, in Eclipse. But all of them looked very confident and comfortable around each other like they had known each other for ages even if they met a few days ago. 

But in our case, I can't even look directly into our Alpha's eyes without debating with myself. I can't talk properly, it felt like some invisible force was squishing my vocal cords. And our heart, this stupid heart starts pumping a mile per moment. This is not normal.

Maybe this is because of our mate. Our mate is also not normal, Jungkook. With his energy, strength, he is the most powerful Royal Alpha. 

You could be right, Kookie. That means we have to be more strong to stand beside our Alpha confidently.

Yeah and we can do this, we are warriors!

We sure are. Jungkook smiled.

But that doesn't mean we have to stop sniffing our Alpha's scent at night, right?

Jungkook's eyes wandered to his pillow where his Alpha's clothes were scattered, his face flushed as he hastily put them inside the closet. 

N-no. We don't have to stop that. Jungkook said and Kookie hummed in agreement like he was pleased with Jungkook's answer.

Jungkook went inside the bathhouse and started his routine. After taking a long bath, he came out to select his outfit. Today was a sunny day in Eclipse, so he decided to wear flowery pastel colours. He took a soft purple coloured hanfu that has purple iris flowers printed all over the lapels and the long skirt. It contains norigae that was made with pure white pearls.

He wore it perfectly and combed his red long hairs, letting them flaunt over his back. It's his second day in Eclipse, he doesn't have any rituals to perform today. So he didn't know what to do but still, he stepped outside of his room after wearing his veil and crown.

He decided to greet his Alpha and stuck his nose towards the end of the hallway. He sniffed the air but his eyes became confused when he couldn't pick up the familiar sandalwood scent. That means Alpha is not in his chamber.

He pressed his glossy lips in a thin line and walked in the opposite direction. As soon as he took a turn his body collided with another fragile one.

"Hyungnim?" 

Prince Jimin stumbled back a little due to the collision but held himself in his position. Jungkook observed the Royal omega's hands were occupied by different types of brushes, fresh sponges and new washcloths.

Jimin looked up and smiled at the stunning omega in front of him," Luna? I am sorry, my mind was calculating many things so I couldn't pay attention, I hope you are alright." His eyes went in a crescent moon shape when the smile widened on his lips.

"It's ok, hyungnim. I am sorry too. May I ask where are you going?" Jungkook said.

"Me? Ahh… just going to complete a promise. I swear to God, sometimes my tongue likes to slip unnecessarily." Jimin said as both of them started walking towards the stairs.

"Promise?" Jungkook couldn't help but get curious.

"Hmm… His Majesty doesn't like it when we take help from the horses without any urgency. As you know we all are wolves and capable of travelling long distances but when I got invited to your coronation, I requested him to take our horses with us."

"He agreed after some time but only on one condition," Jimin said. 

He tilted his head towards Jungkook whose veil was trailing over the stairs beautifully behind him," Any guesses what was your Alpha's condition?"

Jungkook smiled and thought over it. He had observed his Alpha very closely since he met him and he knew that his Alpha has immense love for the animals, he has seen it with his own eyes.

"That they should be taken care of after retrieval?" The guessing wasn't that hard for Jungkook.

"Hmm impressive, our Luna is becoming a stalker?" Jimin laughed as they both reached the main hall. Jungkook blushed and shook his head, denying the soft accusation.

"Your assumption is right. But my slippery tongue slipped that day again and I promised that I will take care of them with my own hands." Jimin said and Jungkook let out muffled giggles.

"Now, here I am," Jimin showed his hands with overloading accessories that will be used while washing the horses," I have to fulfil my promise now, so I am going to the warehouse."

"May I come with you too? I want to help," Jungkook asked to which a shocked Jimin turned around," You will? I mean you will help me?" His eyes twinkled with happiness.

"Yes, I want to. I don't know what else I should do as we didn't have any rituals today." 

"Sorry, you must be feeling bored. You can accompany me, I will show you around once we finish our work." Jimin offered and Jungkook nodded happily and took some objects from Jimin's hands, helping him to carry the things.

They stepped out of the main house but stopped when they saw Commander Hoseok approaching them with hurried steps, he was holding a golden scroll in his hands that was closed tightly by small strings. 

"Your Empress, Prince Jimin," he bowed and greeted both of them. Hoseok looked at Jimin who was holding dry towels in his hands and asked," May I ask what you are going to do with these? Prince Jimin,"  Hoseok nodded towards the towels, his eyes were holding a soft gaze when he looked at the Royal omega.

"Oh?" Jimin's face flushed as he looked down over his hands," We are going to the warehouse for washing and scrubbing the horses."

Hoseok's soft gaze changed into a concerned one," But you don't have to, Prince. I will do it once I deliver the scroll to His Majesty." 

Jimin looked up, his eyes were wide when he asked," Are you doubting my skills, commander?" 

Jungkook was watching everything with pure amusement, they both have something in between them and if Jungkook is not wrong, it's a  bond, a beautiful bond. He smiled under his veil seeing commander Hoseok all flustered against Jimin's wide eyes, Jungkook never thought Jimin had that big eyes until now.

"No, Prince Jimin, I didn't mean like that," Hoseok said and looked down, his grey cloak and the magnificent sword was examined by Jimin's fascinated eyes. 

He laughed and said," I will manage Commander Hoseok but thank you for your concern. I'm flattered." And his sweet smile made commander Hoseok's day.

He quickly bowed," I'll be off now, Prince. I will come to the warehouse as soon as possible. And you can't deny me, I am just offering my sincere help." 

"I hope you have a peaceful day, Luna," Hoseok bowed and Jungkook nodded in acknowledgement.

Hoseok passed by them but Jimin's gaze was still attached to the broad back of the commander.

"Hyungnim?" Jungkook tapped his shoulder, bringing him back from his daydream.

"Shall we go?" Jungkook's voice was teasing and that made Jimin turn red in no time.

"Y-yeah. Let's go," Jimin whispered and both of them walked to the back of the Packhouse where many rings of mud were created for practice, some small, some very large. The warehouse was placed at the back of the packhouse at the start of Eclipse's dense forest. And it gives immense peace to its surroundings, the best place for sword practising.

Both were walking side by side until Jungkook halted in his steps, making Jimin stop too. The heavy sandalwood scent was oozing out from one of the rings but there was no one.

"I guess we missed it," Jimin said, pressing his lips to stop his wide smile.

"What?" Jungkook asked, his eyes still wandering around the grounds searching for the owner of this scent.

"That ring belongs to His Majesty," Jimin pointed out with his index finger and walked toward it, Jungkook following him behind slowly.

(The ring where Royal Alpha likes to practice. At the back, is the warehouse.)

"His Majesty likes to practice here every morning. The sand is still wet from his sweat, I think he just finished." Jimin smirked, eyes mischievous as he observed Jungkook's shy gazes. It's his time for teasing the omega.

Jungkook stopped his gaze and looked down when his wolf confirmed that his Alpha is not here now. 

"Why does the Royal Alpha use the warehouse grounds for practising? Why not the main grounds?" He asked Jimin who smiled mischievously.

"Well… His Majesty doesn't need to practice at all but it's been his routine for many years and he likes to practice here because…" Jungkook was listening to everything very carefully.

"Because he doesn't want to excite pack member's pheromones. Although the pack members are loyal and all but His Majesty is something they can't resist platonically or romantically. Eclipsers loves him a lot." Jimin said, laughing at Jungkook's wide doe eyes.

"Should I take them as a threat?" 

"No no, Luna. They knew their limitations very well and now you are here. His Majesty is not single anymore. But that doesn't mean they will stop gawking over the god-like physique of my brother." 

Jungkook touched his ears subtly and turned sideways. He knew how desirable his Alpha is. So it's not the pack member's fault actually.

"So for his own peace, His Majesty likes to practice here," Jimin told Jungkook who decides to start his practice from tomorrow onwards but he will wait until His Majesty finishes his practice, he will not disturb him in between.

"You should be happy by the way," Jimin said and interrupted Jungkook's thoughts.

"And why is that?"

"Turn around and look up," Jungkook followed Jimin's words and turned around. His eyes went wide as his cheeks flushed red, he could see his room's window straight from the ground. 

"You can admire your Alpha all you want, you know?" Jimin laughed when Jungkook hurriedly walked past him toward the stall of horses.

"Aww, stop for me!" Jimin followed him, giggling out loud.

Jungkook didn't stop until he arrived inside the warehouse, that overbearing scent was too much for him to handle. He looked around the stalls which were already perfectly cleaned and wiped. 

His eyes searched for any stains but they were totally perfect. Jimin approached him and both went to the barn where horses were tied down. One of them stood out, the black beauty, his Alpha's Artax.

The horse was standing bare without any saddle over his back, his mane contains darker hair than his black skin, he was mesmerising.

Jungkook walked toward the horse even before his mind could stop him and much to his surprise, Artax flapped his tail and neigh loudly while ducking his head down.

He was bowing to the Royal Luna.

A beautiful and grateful smile spreads over Jungkook's lips, he stretches his hand and ruffles the hairs of his mane. "Aren't you a total gentleman?" Jungkook spoke with a wide smile and Artax lifted his head, his nostrils flaring showing his perfect jaw including his pure white teeth.

"Alpha's Artax is a pure gentleman." Jimin said and Jungkook hummed," Just like his owner." Artax let out more delightful neighs before turning to Royal omega.

"I will start from the tail, Luna, you take care of his face," Jimin said while filling warm water in a bucket from the pond. The pond was placed out of sheds, the rays of the bright sun turning the cold water into lukewarm.

"Okay hyungnim," Jungkook starts combing his mane with his fingers, gently undoing the knots.

Jimin fills his bucket and starts walking toward the shed while clutching its handle in his fist. But he stopped when he felt a hand over his fist and suddenly all the weight of the bucket vanished. 

Jimin looked up and saw Yoongi standing there with a gentle smile on his face," I will take this from here, Your Highness."

Jimin could only just nod as Yoongi had already started walking.

"Good morning, Luna." Jungkook turned around surprised when he heard his hyung's voice. 

"Hyung? You here? Are you feeling well now?" He bombarded Yoongi with a bunch of questions.

Yoongi chuckles, "Yeah, I am good now, Luna."

Jungkook blushes," Please, hearing Luna from you sounds very unusual, can't you call me like before?" 

"No. I refuse to. Well, I am a citizen of Eclipse now, so you are not my crown Prince but the Royal Luna now." Yoongi can imagine an offensive pout under that veil of Jungkook's.

"Guard Min is right, Jungkookie." Jimin appeared behind them and lifted the bucket upto the same level as the horse's dock and dip Artax's tail into the warm water.

Jungkook shook his head and took another sponge before cleaning the crest of the horse, he slid the sponge upto his groove and cleaned it properly.

While Yoongi starts cleaning his back and flanks. He took the scraper and removed the excess water, following the direction of its hairs. Yoongi doesn't need any order or permission, he just starts helping both omegas and he was glad that the Royal Omega doesn't oppose it.

Jimin was rinsing Artax's tail when his eyes travelled towards the beta who was doing his work so passionately. Yoongi was looking so…. He doesn't know what.

But he couldn't avert his gaze.

Yoongi crouched down and started cleaning Artax's feet and hooves, he furrowed his brow when he felt someone's stares. He lifted his head, throwing his red hairs a little back on his forehead. His eyes met with the Royal Prince who was still looking at Yoongi in confusion.

Jungkook turned Artax's face sideways to clean his neck and that's when he spotted both of them. Jungkook focussed his gaze at Yoongi who was looking at Jimin with soft eyes and a shy smile Guard Min Yoongi and shy? A new discovery? Jungkook smirked and decided to interrupt them.

"What are you even doing here, hyung? I mean in stables?" 

Both of them avoided each other's gazes, Jimin hides behind the tall horse completely. While Yoongi turned toward Jungkook with burning cheeks. But he recovered quickly.

"It's because I am living here." 

"In stables?" Jimin replied with a shocked face," Who told you to stay here, tell me the name I will-"

"No no, your highness, I chose this area to live in because my wolf felt peaceful here. Soldiers even provided a separate cabin for me, so I am all good here." Yoongi replied and got immersed in his work again.

"And soobin?" Jungkook asked.

"He is living with his mate." 

"Mr Min, if you feel uncomfortable here in future, please do tell me, I will appreciate it," Jimin said, his voice was genuinely worried.

"Okay, Your highness, I will keep this in mind."

Three of them wiped the skin of the horse with dry towels until it started shining. They went to other horses and cleaned them too, those who were pulling the carriage

"How come you are so good with horses, Luna? Other days, Artax wouldn't let any stranger touch him. But he melts in front of you, you know some tricks to calm them, don't you?" Jimin asked.

Jungkook smiled while fixing the reins of the horse," Yeah, they just need soft touches at first and then they start to follow your commands once you gain their trust." 

"You seem experienced."

Jungkook nodded," My horse was too chaotic at first, she was new but after some time she warmed up to me."

"I have never seen a mare so violent and mischievous in my life but our Crown Prince tamed her with his skills, Whisper is very fast," Yoongi said.

"I haven't seen her, where is she?" Jimin asked because if he remembered clearly, they didn't bring any horse from Lunar.

"She is in Lunar, still young so I decided to not part her from her friends," Jungkook said thinking about his pure white energetic mare. Jimin smiled at Jungkook, his thoughts were same as his brother, both understand these mute creatures perfectly.

Yoongi tied them outside so that horses could dry off the moisture. Both omegas came with small buckets that hold water for horses to drink. They kept them beside horses and they started drinking aggressively.

All of them heard hurried footsteps and sensed a scent of beta, they turned towards the opening of the shed and found a soldier coming towards them.

"Your Empress," he bowed quickly and then bowed towards others too.

"Yes? What happened, why are you in such a hurry?" Jungkook asked calmly.

The soldier stopped himself from melting away by the soft voice and voices out his thoughts," Your Empress," his eyes were down all the while.

"Royal Alpha is leaving."

A gasp heard from Jimin as he stepped toward the soldier," This soon?" He questioned because he couldn't believe that His Majesty was leaving right after his courting ceremony.

On top of that without marking his mate.

"Yes, Your highness. He ordered us to bring Artax, I think it's time for Artax to get trained in the techniques of war." Loud noises were heard from behind, the horse was delighted that his master was not leaving him behind this time.

Jimin was looking helpless but he sighed with determination and walked out of the warehouse, Yoongi followed the soldier to get the horse.

But Jungkook was standing there with wide eyes. He didn't move an inch, that soldier's words were still roaming in his mind.

"Alpha is leaving?" He whispered to himself. So suddenly, without any word? Kookie says and that hurts both.

Jimin hyung told us that Alpha went on tours frequently, he has an Empire to overlook. Jungkook argued although his damped eyes betrayed him.

But that was before he found us. And now, he decides to leave us alone, leaving us behind. Jungkook heard his wolf's whimper and his heart clenched tightly.

Don't be selfish, Kookie. He is our Alpha but before that, he is a king. He has responsibilities to accomplish.  Jungkook was trying his best to make Kookie understand or maybe he was consoling himself.

Kookie became quiet for some moment and then hummed, you are right Jungkook. Alpha decides to go alone because we have responsibilities too. Think about Eclipsers, if their Alpha and Luna both went leaving them alone, that would be hard on them, one of us should stay here.

That's right. You are always so mature, Kookie. Jungkook wiped his damaged eyes and smiled. But his smile didn't reach his eyes.

You have trained me, Jungkook. I will never let you down. Remember you are me, I am you. Our thoughts and actions are identical.

Hmm… shall we go? We need to… need to see our Alpha before his departure. Jungkook looked around and watched Yoongi approaching him along with Artax who was ready for Royal Alpha, wearing his saddle and reins.

He stopped them and walked to Artax. Jungkook plucked out some pearls from his norigae and placed them inside the small pocket of his saddle. He caresses his mane softly and whispers in his ear," Take care of him." His voice was low and delicate.

Artax flapped his ears and neighed in agreement. 

Jungkook smiled and looked over at Yoongi who was watching Jungkook with unreadable expressions," You go first hyung, I will follow you behind." Yoongi wanted to deny it but he pressed his lips and nodded his head.

Everything was going good but now Jungkook was feeling that suffocation again, even the idea of separation from his mate was making him weak.

"No, I can do this. Alpha will be back soon, he won't take long." Jungkook closed his eyes and composed himself before his feet led him out of the warehouse.

Taehyung was standing outside the main packhouse, near the fountain. He was waiting for his horse, other times he just vanished and appeared at his desired place but this time he needs to do some duties before his departure.

Jimin was fuming when he reached the open garden, he looked around and found all pack members were already entering around the pathway. So he decides to mind link his brother.

"Dear Majesty, it's not the way of departing. Eclipse just got their Luna and you are leaving him here alone."

Taehyung turned to Jimin, his eyes holding nothing but a cold stare. 

But Jimin continued," Jungkook is new here, brother. And you are leaving him without your mark, how will he survive the separation? No matter how strong an omega is, he is still an omega."

Taehyung was silent like he didn't even hear anything. His gaze went towards his people and then back at Jimin.

Jimin sighed restlessly," At least tell me when you will return, please." 

Jimin wanted some assurance so that he can console Jungkook when hard times come because he knew separation is something that can make mates anxious. But all his hope vanished when he heard his brother's words in his head.

"Might take years."

Jimin gaped at his brother in shock as Taehyung turned towards his people who were bowing against him, he lifted his hand and all of them looked up at their Alpha with worrisome looks.

They have just welcomed their Luna two days ago with so much happiness and joy. And now their Alpha is leaving, they can understand the importance of His Majesty's Alpha duties, but what about their Luna?

They knew their Alpha always went on long tours, he had just come back after one whole year and now again departing. they were just hoping their Alpha will come in between at least a month. Some of them were whispering their concerns to each other while some eyes were searching for their Luna.

All murmurs and gazes died down when they sensed the arrival of their Luna. They look up to watch their Luna approaching the main packhouse with conscious steps, his veil and crown were blazing under the bright sunlight.

They bowed as Jungkook stood beside the Royal Alpha silently. 

"Please stand up." He spoke and all of them could feel the sadness under those soft words. Their hearts crumbled but still, they stood up on their feet.

The Royal Alpha looked at the omega standing beside him and stretched his hand towards him, Jungkook placed his hand on top of Taehyung's but with a heavy heart.

Taehyung held his hand and went a little ahead to address his people," I am leaving for the northeast this time, take care of your Luna in my absence." Jungkook's heart was vibrating with each word. His gaze was lowered revealing his utmost mannerism towards the Royal Alpha.

The Pack members howled in agreement and paused for the next command.  

"Your Luna will handle the issues of the courtroom along with the guidance of the commander. For any drastic problem, approach me directly." His deep voice holds the power of command.

"Rest." 

The people bowed and scattered around the garden. All were there, just a little away from the couple. 

Taehyung stood against Jungkook and detached his dagger from his waistcoat before holding it in front of Jungkook. 

"Use it when the time comes."

Jungkook didn't let go of his Alpha's hand and stretched his other hand to hold the silver dagger. His eyes peeked at his Alpha, he wanted to speak, wanted to wish his Alpha a happy journey, wanted to request him to come back quickly but just like always his tongue got tied when his eyes met with the grey ones.

His heart resonated in his ears when Alpha leaned over and sealed a kiss over his forehead. The token of love. He closed his eyes and let the first tear fall. His hand tightens its hold on Alpha's hand, squeezing enough. He doesn't want to slip this moment from his life.

Those lips stayed over his veil until Jungkook gulped down the thickness of his throat. He opened his eyes when Alpha pulled away from him. The hold loosened up eventually and their hands fell apart.

The Royal Alpha turned and climbed his horse before sitting on the saddle swiftly, he pulled the reins and twirled the direction of the horse towards the exit of the packhouse.

Jungkook felt his insides churning and his lungs got suffocated. He wanted to speak but couldn't, at that moment he felt miserable. He wished his Alpha somehow read his mind and took care of himself. No matter how long, he can wait for his Alpha.

And if paying his duties earnestly, he could make his Alpha satisfied, could feel him closer then he will do them with all his willpower.

His longing eyes were attached to his Alpha's back until The Royal Alpha exited the territories of Eclipse. 

The pack members start departing home but not before bowing to their sad Luna, all of them analysing in their minds how to make the environment cheerful again. But deep down they know without their Alpha, they are unable to put a smile on Luna's lips.

Jungkook clutched the dagger tightly into his fist. His thumb grazed over its corner where his Alpha's initials KTH were carved beautifully. 

Jungkook sighed but his brows got furrowed in confusion. He hadn't seen Jimin since his arrival, maybe he was too lost in his emotions to notice the Royal omega.

He looked around to find the Royal Prince, he went inside but as soon as he stepped into the main hall, his eyes went wide in horror.

There, two mates were exchanging their eye colours, red eyes and orange eyes creating a new shade of rose. 

The Red eyes belonged to the Commander of Eclipse while the orange ones were owned by a red hair beta named Min Yoongi.

Mates.

Jungkook gasped when he saw the Royal Prince standing a little away from them, his eyes holding nothing but a heartbreaking pain.

Chapters are gonna be long onwards same as this one cause the story holds a deep plot and I want to finish it before 100 chapters.

My heart is shattering for Jimin and Koo. But let me hold it in.
