Chapter Ten
So halfway after typing i realize, THERE IS A WORD COUNT HOLY SHIT WHEN DID THAT COME HERE?
I leaned over looking at his silhouette on the ground. Are you joking? He was still asleep.
Well his loss.
Chucking a pillow at him I turned around settling into this comfortable bed. Not being creepy but this smelt good. Since when did Alex start smelling good?
I had to say, it would have been the best night sleep ever, would have being the key word because in the morning I was rudely woken up with a large kick. And let's just say, it was rude to kick anyone, except me, I always had a reason to kick someone.
There was a three second gap and I caught his leg before he could kick me again opening my eyes.
"What the hell," I said. He was kneeling on the bed with a pillow in his hand, oh right he wasn't kicking me, I was going to say, that's rude. But he was hitting me with a pillow. I pulled the pillow out of his hands and turned around.
"Did you push me onto the floor?"
"Eh no, you fell," I mumbled into the pillow.
"Sure I did, I don't fall off beds, that's you," he said. I could feel my face going red. Okay that may be true. I remember once when we used to share room, I know how long ago was that, I used to fall of my bed and then somehow find my way into his bed on the other side of the room.
No I didn't sleep walk, I sleep bed moved?
"You could have woken me up you know,"
I felt a tugging at my blanket and held onto it stronger.
"Yea you were sleeping like a freaking vampire okay, couldn't wake you up, and then you fell," I said pulling the blanket back towards me.
"Wake up its past ten,"
"No you wake up," I said pulling it again. What was it tug of war?
"I am awake!"
I groaned getting up, and kneeling on the bed as well. He tugged the blanket towards him and I tugged it back.
"Let go!" I whined really loudly might I add.
"You let go, you have a job to do,"
"You do to," I said pulling it back. He roughly tugged it making me nearly loose my balance.
"Yea and I have to wake you up first," he snapped.
The door opened and he looked up and I took this chance to pull the blanket from under him making him fall to the ground.
See he falls himself! I had nothing to do with it.
"Oh sorry," I heard a voice.
I looked over my shoulder to see the prince looking a bit red standing there.
"Morning Jax," I said as Alex scrambled of the ground.
"Oh sire, w-"
"I'm up now," I said jumping up and pulling my jumper down and yawning. Wait.
I looked from Alex to Xavier and back. How rude, no matter how royal you were did he not know to knock.
"I hope I didn't disturb anything,"
"Yea right," I scoffed waving an arm at him. Alex shot me a glare and I rolled my eyes. What did he want me to do, roll my bow? Hey I should practise that, how would I start, hip up or hip down. My that would be uncomfortable.
"Isandra,"
"I'M GOING GOSH," I snapped crossing my arms and walking out of the room. Xavier stepped out of my way looking confused, maybe he wasn't a morning person either.
Job.
I hated it.
It was hot and I was stuck in a dress.
And not just any dress a stupid floor length black dress when it was thirty degrees Celsius outside.
I swear this was on purpose stupid Catherina that royal poo shit face I want to kill her no, flush her.
I stormed out of my room where she was sitting, in a short blue gown that actually made her look remotely good.
"I don't think I can 'protect' you in a dress three sizes too small and that constricts my breathing," I snapped. I watched her get up flicking her hair over her shoulder, some cow eat her hair please.
"It's okay I don't think you can protect me either way, now let's go. We're late because of you," she muttered.
I groaned and then realized that just made it worse and walked after her feeling like a rag robot that couldn't even move. Why was I doing this job again.
The moment we stepped outside the heat hit me in waves making me feel really dizzy. Man I was going to die if I didn't do anything. My chest looked like a plaster board constricted in this damn tight dress and I was just waiting for the zip to explode, how tight was this!
This was not appropriate wear for someone who had curves unlike miss barbie stick over there.
"Oh wow," I looked over to see Carter, aka greyguard giving me a look with his face scrunched up. Maybe I did look weird leaning over and walking, but it helped.
"Shut. Up. Don't. Have. Oxy-oxy-O2. To. Breathe," I said waving a hand. Man I was already sweating. I could hear him laugh as I got into the car greeted by her royal barbie stick herself smiling like she was proud.
B*tch pass your maths test and then feel proud. I can't talk, I failed maths.
"Why aren't we moving," I snapped only to be answered by the door opening and Xavier getting in. He smiled at Catherina before stiffly getting in and then seeing me.
"Oh, hey," He said. What did I somehow blend into the seat colour? I probably did, my dress was as black as them and my tan skin probably would have looked darker in the shade.
I would have said something back, but sitting down made it even more uncomfortable. God save me.
God didn't. Because after an hour of driving we finally reached the place and the lack of movement made the blood flow break off in every joint.
I got out behind them struggling heaps and panting by the time I was out, wow was I unfit or just restricted?
"Where are we," I asked, "Sire?" I added in the end. Greyguard got out of his vehicle joining us, all business mode as I looked at the massive structure in front of me. What the heck was that?
I leaned against the limo as greyguard gave everyone instructions. Where was Alex? What an idiot don't tell me he was sleeping in while I had to work. I grumbled and then screeched as the limo moved making me nearly fall.
Everyone stared at me and I smiled at them.
"Isandra, you're with Miss Catherina,"
Duh I thought, who else was I with. We were sent our certain ways. It was another town building opening or something only the prince, aka Xavier was going to go cut the ribbon while Catherina was going to go talk to people, and try and be polite.
I followed after her when I saw a bathroom.
"Um Catty-Catherina," I said. She looked over her shoulder.
"Can I go to the restroom?" I asked.
"Sure," She said. I wouldn't have usually left her by herself but Josh was there and he gave me a nod. I hurried over pushing the door open. Where was it.
I walked over to the hand dryer squatting on the ground and looking up at it. Aha!
I pulled the grill out smiling as I saw the sharp edges. I stepped into the stall and reached down grabbing the dress, which was hard, bending in this was hard, and hacked at the dress. It fell quit loosely since it was net fabric and I managed to rip the rest off with my hands.
I trimmed the dress down so it was up to my knees, still presentable and sighed feeling the cold air gather around my sweaty legs. Wasn't that just nice. I'm serious.
I placed the grill back and depositing the grill back and heading back out smiling. at least this helped a bit, even if my chest looked too squashed.
Josh shook his head smiling as he watched me come out with Catherina looked more than angry.
"What on earth did you do peasant,"
I glared at her, excuse moi, I am no peasant. I am Isandra, sister of Alex and you owe me you allegiance. Okay maybe not.
"What your fault for not getting the right size," I muttered grabbing the gun from my ankle holster and rising it up so it was covered.
"Maybe you shouldn't be so fat then," She snapped and continued to walk. My jaw dropped as I stared at her looking down at my stomach. Since when was it such a crime to be curvy or have baby fat. That witch she should look at her thighs, at least I had good legs!
"You look fine," said Josh patting my shoulder as he dragged me around, "In fact you're more on the skinny side,"
"Oh shut it," I said slapping his shoulder. Like that hurt pfft I was a strong girl I could take it. But in every passing window I looked at myself frowning. Maybe I was fat, maybe not always but in this tight dress making my body look way too disproportionate.
Who was I kidding, I was fine and I was fit and I shouldn't listen to her. Why was I even here. Oh right maybe if I wasn't such a failure.
Shut up Isandra. Great now I was talking to myself. I rolled my eyes focusing on my job. Protect royalty. It was as simple as that and how on earth was I letting myself be so rude and disrespectful.
It just hit me, I was being way to...friendly?
"Hey you alright?"
I looked up to see Alex and his team walk towards us.
"Now you show up," I said but somehow my voice didn't sound as playful as usual.
"We had to do the perimeter, what the heck," he said staring at what I Was wearing.
"Ask her royal as- yea," I said stopping my sentence.
"I had a uniform in the car if you want to change, not now but later," he said frowning in disapproval. Thank god I wasn't the only one who thought this dress was hideous.
And just to make things better, there was a series of flashed and the paparazzi came flooding in, at least thing time they were taking photos of Catherina, and not me.
