Boreas sat alone sighing to himself. Although it wasn't the loneliness that stabbed him in the back. He huffed, looking down on the soft snow blanketing the ground. He smiled, knowing he brought that and death followed. From the east, a thud paired with crying emerged from the darkness and the god stood carefully. A boy no older than 15 lay in a lump, teeth chattering in the cold.
With no further hesitation, Boreas picked the child up, walking back over to the small fire he'd lit. He placed the child carefully onto a small mat, draping a blanket over him. The child looked up at the man, eyes glimmering with fear. Boreas shook his head and prepared soup.

Phil smiled as Techno began to speak. "So. If you're a human, why does Tommy have a tail?" He crossed his arms in anger. Phil looked over his shoulder at the child with small ears and a raccoon like tail running around, "and why did they suddenly grow?" The hybrid looked angry, but falsely. 'Trying to make his image more masculine,' Phil noted.
"Well.. Tommy isn't my biological son. There was a small orphanage in the village, and I was kind of alone." Phil smiled fondly as he recalled it, letting the warmth of summer embrace him. Techno, raised one eyebrow. All of a sudden, he spun left and darted. Before Phil could ask where he was going, he was drenched.
In his shock, he spun around quickly to see Tommy and Tubbo on their backs, a small (now empty) bucket laid on the ground as they laughed. "C'mere you!" He stood up and the two boys shrieked as they ran.
Phil chased the boys for around 5 minutes before stopping to catch his breath. "Tubbo, Tommy! Don't go too far!" He called, still out of breath. From his right he heard a small tune being strummed on a lute. He ran his fingers through his hair to dry it, laughing as it listened.
He stood and approached the area, curious. Swatting grass and bugs out of his way, he smiled to see Wilbur who had his feet in the water, strumming carefully. A small giggle, NOT Wilbur's emerged from the water, and Phil tilted his head.
"Thank you for playing for me." A feminine Dutch accent pierced the air suddenly.
"No problem.." Wilbur responded.
"..And who's this, Wilbur?" Phil asked suddenly, peering over his shoulder to see a girl in the lake. Well. Not human. She was a mermaid in best case scenario, a siren in worst. She had sloppy wet salmon colored hair spun up into a bun, and fins at either side of her face.
Wilbur jumped, "Oh.. u-uh this is Sally. She asked me to play for her.." Wilbur turned red, averting his gaze from Phil and the girl. She giggled, and ducked under the water, before coming back up with a small necklace she handed to Wilbur. He flushed again, and Phil bit his lip.
"Uh anyways, Techno was looking for you." Phil lied, a small smile on his face. Wilbur lit up, "Oh! See you soon, Sally!" He pulled his legs out of the water, slipping his sandals on and darting. Phil waited until Wilbur was out of earshot before turning to Sally.
"So what are you?"
"W-what?"
"What are you? Mermaid or Siren?"
The girl looked at me, shaking her head. "I'm a siren," she said in a mocking tone before continuing, "OF COURSE I'm a regular mermaid. Sirens are insanely ugly.." She stuck her tongue out at the though and shuddered.
Phil raised an eyebrow. He still didn't fully trust her, but he agreed for now. "Alright.." He hefted himself up and turned. "I believe you." Another lie. He then began to walk through the brush, eyeing the girl as she ducked beneath the water.

Now a year had passed. Wilbur was 14, Techno was 15 and Tommy was 8. Techno and Wilbur trailed behind Phil as Tommy was inside, taking a nap. "Be careful over here, you don't want to hurt them." Phil warned as he brushed the grass aside, a small village of pixies swarming about.
Wilbur shrieked as one landed on his nose. "Hi!" She was about his age, pink straight locks flowing down to her shoulders. A light German accent added to her voice, "I'm Niki."
"Echnotay. 'MIay Caredsay." Wilbur looked at Techno in panic, unsure of what to do. Techno rolled his eyes and continued looking at the village.
"Uh.. h-hi?" He spoke softly, still just as terrified. The small fairy lifted herself up and began to buzz around his head. "Well. What's your name" Niki asked.
"Uh.. Wilbur." She smiled, landing on a blade of grass ahead of him. "That's a quite nice name." He laughed slightly. "How are you?" She asked question after question, and Wilbur responded with answers he saw fit.
Of course, all good things must come to an end. Niki and Wilbur bid their farewells to each other, as the sun began to set. Wilbur trailed along behind his and Techno's 'family.' As he walked, he stared towards the water, letting his eyes drift to the mountains as he recalled a memory.
"Don't get comfortable." Techno had said in Piglin, "we won't be here long." Wilbur nodded, sinking into the covers graciously provided by Philza. "Ok, T."
Earlier, they'd come down from the mountain. They were running from something, but Techno wouldn't tell Wilbur what. They'd approached a small house, with the thought in mind no one would be there to catch them. They snuck in through the window, grabbing some blankets and apples, but failing in their mission.
However, the owner of the estate had been kind enough to let them stay. Techno didn't trust the man, Wilbur did, with all of his heart.
But something still rung within his head, that Techno told him..
"I'm afraid you're going to be betrayed, Wilbur.."

Wilbur gasped, not expecting his brother's sudden appearance. He looked to where Techno stared. The clearing he met Sally in.
"Don't be such a skeptic, Tech." Wilbur laughed off the claim, patting his brother on the back as they continued into the home.
