I like the cover image and designs, it's nice. I love the title, it has a nice ring to it. The blurb is amazing and fully detailed, also definitely intriguing. It is constructed and well-written. The dialogue of the characters is balanced with the narrative and descriptive parts of the story. The plot has a lot of twists, unexpected events and I love how the characters have a specific role to play in the story. But I can't help notice that,

Santan Kush is just like a shadow that only appears when Nicci needs him. I hope you can work on that and make him more useful in the story. I guessed maybe because the book is still at the beginning, maybe that's why he feels unimportant. I hope I get to read more iconic acts from him. I hardly saw any error in the book, you did a good job editing it. The punctuations, spellings, use of grammar, vocabulary builds are flawless. Your writing style is good too, the paragraphs are not clustered together, makes it easier for the reader. You have an undiscovered talent, I hope it will be in the spotlight soon.

1. Paulita's Petting Zoo by spelunkadunk
Cover/Title: 3.25/5
Dialogue: 4/5
Blurb: 3.25/5
Grammar: 17.5/20
Plot: 17/20
Characters: 16.5/20
Style: 17/20
Personal: 4.25/5
Total: 82.75/100

Paulita's Petting Zoo is a part of spelunkadunk's collection, Ember Grove (and Other Scary Stories). The short finds horror in what appears to be one of the most cheerful places. The writing style is excellent, instantly immersing the reader in the dynamics of the colorful Moreno family. Their excitement is contagious, but it's also balanced with hints of uneasiness that eventually spirals into flat-out dread. The short never dragged or lost the reader by trying to speed through the story with limited words. The build-up of tension was flawless, and had me on the edge of my seat until the end. The ending was well-executed, and I highly recommend that you give this short and the other stories in the collection a read... if you dare!
