Dare

My black orbs were blank
Never a drop of dreams from distance
His were burning with passion and colors
That made me doubt my existence

I always saw him as my pillar
But now I see those invisible cracks
Tainting my beautiful paintings
With tones of whites and blacks

I thought he was wrong
But oh, how wrong was I
For he never dared to fly
Slice the air, get swallowed by sky

Fire and water, pain and salt,
We were never meant to be
I never had dreams but I fought with the sea
In the hopes to reach a reef...
