Chapter 7
Sabrina now sat in her room, early the next morning, she had just finished replacing her bandages when the door opened. She looked to see Allison.
"You need to see this," Allison said, her face full of pain. Sabrina pulled the shirt down over her stomach and followed Allison. She led her to where mom sat, in the gallery wall area, her arm was perfectly cut down in a line, and her wiring was cut. Luther was kneeling next to her.
"What happened?" Sabrina asked as Allison leaned against the railing.
" The two guys last night, the ones with the mask..."Allison began. " They did this to her. It has to do with Five somehow. I mean, they were looking for him."
" I know I was arguing to turn Grace off, but this doesn't make it any easier," Luther admitted.
"Poor Diego," Sabrina stated as Luther stood up. " I mean, this is gonna be so hard on him.
"Yeah, it's hard on all of us," Luther stated.
"I'll go break the news to Klaus," Sabrina stated as she walked away, she went to Klaus's room. She knocked on it, but no reply. " Klaus?" She opened the door to find the room empty. She closed the door and walked down the hall. " Klaus!?" She then went to Luther's room, she knocked on the door and opened it.
" Get out," Luther ordered, he was reading a book.
"Have you seen Klaus?" Sabrina asked.
" Piss off," Luther ordered.
"Go get a drink," Sabrina advised before closing the door. Soon she ran into Allison, she looked ready to leave the house. " Hey, have you seen Klaus?"
"No," Allison shrugged. " I'm about to go tell Vanya the news, want to come?"
"Sure," Sabrina agreed, the two then left the house. "She's home right?"
"I'm pretty sure she is," Allison answered. Soon they reached the apartment, they reached the second floor to find the door cracked open a little.
" Vanya?" Allison asked as she opened the door. The two walked in, Allison set a purse down on the table and Sabrina walked over to the sink, on her way, she saw some guy standing in her bedroom.
"Intruder 12 o'clock," Sabrina whispered to Allison, she hid by the window as Allison hid on the other side of the wall. He walked right past before getting kicked and knocked down by Allison.
"Allison! Wait!" the man cried out. He had brown eyes and brown hair.
"Leonard!" Allison gasped. " Sorry."
"Who is this?" Sabrina asked.
"Leonard Peabody," the guy answered. " Good friend of Vanya."
" I thought you were a ..." Allison trailed.
"Where is Vanya?" Sabrina demanded.
"She's at rehearsal," Luther answered as he stood up. " She...She left her keys at my place last night." He took the keys out of his pocket. " I was just returning them." Allison sighed. " I'm sorry if I scared you too." He looked at Sabrina. " I don't believe I caught your name."
" Sabrina, sister of Vanya," Sabrina answered as she looked at him cautiously. " So why are you inside her apartment?" Leonard made a face and turned his head before looking at the two girls.
"It's kind of embarrassing," Leonard admitted. " I had to use the restroom."
"Ah," Allison breathed as she crossed her arms.
"If you don't mind me asking, why are you two here?" Leonard asked.
" Excuse me?" Allison demanded as she stepped forward.
" No, it's just...from what I heard, you two didn't want anything to dow ith Vanya yesterday," Leonard explained. " So, I was just wondering."
" I don't know why that's your business," Allison stated.
"You're right," Leonard chuckled. " Probably not." The two girls looked at him strangely. " Uh, it was nice seeing you. I guess I'll just...drop these off to Vanya at rehearsal."
" You know what?" Sabrina said as she held out her hand. " We'll take the keys to her."
"Sure," Leonard breathed as he gave her the keys. " Whatever's easiest, right?" He walked towards the door. "It's great seeing you." He then left and the two girls looked at each other.
" I don't trust him," Allison said.
" He seems oddly familiar," Sabrina stated. " Like we have met him before."
"Either way, he is untrustworthy," Allison said.

After waiting the two girls now were down by where the theatre, Vanya rehearsed. Sabrina leaned against a wall trying to get a hold of Klaus while Allison looked through a newspaper. On the front, it had her husband and daughter.
"Hey," Vanya greeted the two, they looked at her. "What are you doing here?"
"Hey," Allison greeted as she closed her magazine and Sabrina hung up the phone. " We were looking for you." She looked down the street. " I wanted to be the one to tell you about Mom."
"What?" Vanya asked. Allison looked at the ground, trying to find the words to say.
" Vanya, she's...she's gone," Allison managed out.
" I thought we were gonna to wait a bit," Vanya recalled as Sabrina walked closer to the two.
" It was those psychopaths last night," Sabrina informed. " They killed her. We found her this morning." Vanya looked down at the ground, trying to comprehend it.
"And listen," Allison said, Vanya looked up at her. " Last night, what I said--"
"No, no, don't...don't worry about it," Vanya dismissed.
"Oh, I have your keys," Sabrina brought up after a moment of silence, she held them out for Vanya.
" Why do you have my keys?" Vanya asked as she took them.
" It's a long story," Sabrina answered as Allison sighed.
"Do you want to get a drink?" Allison hoped.
"Sure, Vanya agreed, Allison put the magazine back, and the three went to Sabrina's bar.
"Hey Sabrina!" a worker greeted happily.
"Boss!" another worker greeted.
" Where have you been?" another worker asked.
"Family situations," Sabrina answered as she walked behind the bar.
"When are you coming back?" someone asked as she made three drinks.
"In a week," she answered. " But I can offer some help for now." She duplicated multiple times, before sitting down at a table with her sisters. Allison and Sabrina then told them about what happened at the apartment, and some other things.
"Leonard wouldn't," Vanya denied. " I mean, I can't even imagine."
"Uh, I get it," Allison agreed. " I don't wanna believe it either, but why would he tell you he's going to work, and then he's letting himself into your place?"
" To use, the bathroom, like he said?" Vanya stated.
" Or to creep around," Sabrina suggested,
" He wouldn't," Vanya denied causing Allison to raise her eyebrows.
" RIfle through your stuff?" Sabrina brought up.
" Maybe steal something?" Allison added. " I mean...Jerk off to your Mr. Snuggles teddy bear?"
" No!" Vanya exclaimed. " No, stop." She picked up her glass.
" Look, I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but sometimes, men are unredeemable shits," Allison declared.
" Well, maybe, but...I like this one," Vanya admitted. " I know it's weird 'cause we only knew each other for a few days, but...Leonard felt real." She looked at her sisters. " Like he saw something in me no one else did."
" I know the feeling," Allison stated, she chuckled softly. " God, I haven't felt like that since I was a kid."
"Luther?" Vanya asked.
" Does everyone know?" Allison chuckled.
" I mean, I'm the last one to speak for everyone else..."Vanya began.
" We always suspected," Sabrina admitted. " You two were so close.
"Yeah, well, he's not speaking to me, either," Allison informed. " Here we are." She then looked at Sabrina. " Don't act like we didn't suspect anything between you and Five or Ben?"
" You two were really close," Vanya agreed.
"The way I was close with Five and Ben is a bit different than the way Allison and Luther are close," Sabrina furrowed her eyebrows. "
" Yay, sisters?" Vanya asked raising her glass. Allison and Sabrina chuckled as they raised their glass.
"Yay, sisters," they said as they clinked glasses. After drinking a little, it grew dark, Sabrina became one again, and they reentered Vanya's apartment.
"Ah! I love your apartment," Allison gushed as they walked in.
"I'm sure it's smaller than one your closets, but...." Vanya trailed as Allison sat on the couch.
" No, really," Allison insisted as Sabrina sat next to her. " I love it." She chuckled.
"I'm just gonna go check on things, make sure everything's in the right place," Vanya said as she walked away.
" Do you have sweatpants?" Allison asked once Vanya entered her room and turned the light on. She was totally drunk. " We are going to need...sweatpants." She giggled as walked over to the kitchen. Allison rummaged the fridge as Sabrina took in the sound of the train passing by. "Chocolate-covered raisins." She picked up a bowl and started eating them.
"Oh, my God," Vanya smiled as she came out with a bundle of flowers.
" What are those?" Sabrina asked as she stood up, Allison put the bowl down and they went to the flowers.
"They're from Leonard," Vanya answered. Allison picked up a card.
" I like you and I'm not sorry," Allison read.
" I don't get it," Sabrina stated as Allison chuckled softly.
" It's an inside joke," Vanya stated. She then went and called Leonard as her sisters stood nearby.
" Hello?" they hear Leonard's voice speak.
" Hey," Vanya greeted. " I--I got the flowers. Thank you so much."
" Oh, good," Leonard stated. " To be honest, I was getting a little worried."
"Worried, why?" Vanya asked.
" Well, I hadn't heard from you," Leonard answered. " And...it was a little bit awkward with your sisters earlier."
" It's fine," Vanya answered as she looked at the two. " They know it was a misunderstanding." She turned away; Sabrina and Allison glanced at each other. " Do you wanna get breakfast tomorrow?"
" Yeah. Yeah, I'd like that," Leonard answered happily.
" Well, I'll, uh, talk to you in the morning," Vanya said before hanging up the phone, she was smiling happily.
