Chapter 11

They rushed home to get Five some help. Sabrina opened the door as Allison and Diego carried him into the sitting area.

" We should have taken him to the hospital," Allison stated.

" A kid with a shrapnel wound might raise some questions," Diego pointed out.

" He has a point," Sabrina agreed as closed the door and followed them in.

" Yeah, well, so does the murder shrine in Harold Jnekin's attic," Allison pointed out before they set him on the couch.

" He's still losing blood," Allison said as she took off her jacket. " What do we do?"

" We gotta get the shrapnel out," Sabrina stated as she lifted his shirt back up.

" Diego," Allison breathed, the two sisters looked up to see Diego walking out towards the welcome hall. " Diego, where are you going?" Diego came back into the room with mom, Allison and Sabrina were both equally surprised to see her alive. They took Five up to his room, and from there Mom applied aid to him. Diego and Sabrina stood in the doorway watching.

" Anything?" Sabrina asked as they felt Allison's presence.

" There's no answer at Vanya's workplace," Allison informed. " And the receptionist at her music school said she was a no-show for her lessons today." Diego nodded, turned, and walked away. " Hey, you okay?" She stopped him from going any further.

" Yeah," Diego breathed. " I don't know it's just surreal seeing her. I just wanna tell that I'm s..." Sabrina looked back at him. " We don't have enough time. We gotta go."

" I don't know Diego," Allison said as she grabbed his arm, to keep him from going. " Five is laying there, unconscious."

" We need him," Sabrina informed.

" We can do this ourselves," Diego assured.

"We did that already, remember?" Sabrina recalled.

" We all ended up dead," Allison added. " I don't know. I'm just...I'm thinking I should go and see Claire before..."

" You can't run away from this, Allison," Diego pointed out. " That's what started this whole mess in the first place." They all looked back at Five. " Luther was right." Allison and Sabrina looked at Diego in surprise.

" I didn't think I would ever hear you say those words," Allison scoffed.

" Yeah, well..." Diego began with a small smile. " We gotta stick together."

" Where do we start?" Allison asked.

" There's no other addresses in the file, but there is another relation listed," Diego informed. " Jenkin's grandmother. She lived near Jackpine Road."

" Do you think he took her there?" Sabrina asked.

" It's a good place to start," Diego informed. " Are you staying here or tagging along?"

" Can you do both?" Allison asked.

" I never sent one of my duplicates that far away from me before," Sabrina said. " But I can try." She duplicated herself. " Go with those two." She looked at her siblings. " Protect her, if she goes down, so do I."

" Nothing will touch her," Diego assured as he grabbed the duplicate's arm. The three headed down the stairs. Soon enough the three made it out of the front door with the file in their hands. They walked out into the street.

" Nope, come on, this way," Diego said as he turned them around.

" Wait, but the car is back that way," Sabrina two pointed out.

" Trust me, okay?" Diego insisted. " Come on."

" But what is going on?" Allison demanded as she saw two cars starting to follow them.

" They're here for me," Diego reported. " Uh...They think I did something."

" What do they think you did?" Sabrina 2 asked as the sirens went off.

" Murder," Diego answered nonchalantly.

" Did you?" Allison demanded.

" No, no, no, of course not, okay?" Diego assured. " Why would you ask that about me, anyway?"

" I mean, you do carry knives with you everywhere," Allison recalled.

" Yeah, okay, we're gonna have to split, okay?" Diego informed as sirens wailed louder. " I'm in charge. Remember?" Vanya needs you two."

" Don't do anything stupid, okay?" Sabrina 2 requested.

" Tell your main person to duplicate another of you and send them to the station," Diego ordered as his sisters walked away.

" Can you do that?" Allison asked.

" We are about to find out," Sabrina 2 stated. Sabrina never tested her powers out to her full potential, she had no idea if she had reached her full potential or not.

Back at the academy, Sabrina was sitting in her room that was across from Five's room, she was sitting there watching Mom...Diego was right...it was surreal to see her. Suddenly she got a message from her duplicate.

' Duplicate again and send this one to that police station...we ran into a few problems.'

' Don't get into trouble and stick with Allison...if anything goes downhill fight or stop existing.' Sabrina told the duplicate; this was new. Sabrina duplicated again and ordered this one to go down to the station.

Sabrina 3 got down there and a man walked up to her.

" You have my brother," Sabrina informed.

" Diego's sister?" the man asked.

" Sabrina Hagreeves, you must be the man holding him captive," Sabrina suggested.

" Detective Beeman," the man said. " I can't let him go."

" He didn't kill anyone," Sabrina 3 said. " He's not capable of that."

" Please, " Beeman said. " His fingerprints is all over the crime scene."

" Just because his fingerprints are all over it, doesn't mean he did it," Sabrina 3 argued.

" Please, come to the office," Beeman insisted. " So we can talk about it more privately."

" Then you can let my brother go," Sabrina insisted. " We need him more than you need him."

" Right this way," Beeman said as he led her to an office. Once they got in there he closed the blinds and locked the door.

" Afraid of people listening in?" Sabrina asked.

" I'll let your brother out," Beeman informed as he went behind the computer and started to type. " I know he would never do anything to hurt Patch...you gotta do something for me."

" What?" Sabrina asked as she folded her arms.

" You really need your brother don't you?" Beeman asked as she started to undo his buckle. " I was going to let him out no matter what...but since you came down here...I might as well bargain for him."

" I don't have time for this!" Sabrina 3 hissed as she backed up.

" Fine," He said as he started to fix his belt. " Then I can keep your brother till this is all over." Sabrina 3 breathed heavily, they needed to Diego...and if this was the only way to get him...then so be it...not like it's the real Sabrina in the first place.

Back at the Academy, the real Sabrina washed the dishes with mom as Five was upstairs resting. She had a complete awareness of where all her duplicates were and could hear everything. There were so many voices going on at once. She wasn't very happy about what one duplicate was going through as the other drove silently in the Hermes with Allison, racing to save Vanya.
