Chapter two

THE following days Kainda got even more messages from Bard, and even though they barely knew each other it felt like they were connected to each other in some way. The hunter's daughter had read enough to knew what such bound meant. Something between them was not meant to be broken nor would it happen.

Now the girl was reading again a letter from him.

Hello there, Kainda.
From a trustworthy source I finally found out your name which; ironically speaking means "hunter's daughter". You are the hunter's daughter, right? Juan is a man amongst men. I wish more people would have such bravery and courage to keep going with a deadly illness.
Talking about those; I know how you feel right now. I also lost some very important people due to a chronical illness too soon.
If you ever want to talk to me, you only have to write and I will be on my way.
Just write me when you are ready.
-Bard

A small sigh escaped Kainda's mouth when she finished reading. She knew how badly Bard wanted to officially meet her. But she did not even dare. What if he truly saw through her and got confused even more? She did not want to do that to him.
Now more confused than ever she got a pencil out of her mother's box and started writing her own letter.
