As soon as he entered back in Seoul he drove back to their home. His instant action - out of habit, he might say - was to jump out of the car and run inside the house but he had restrained. He stopped the second his feet touched the marble pathway leading to the main entrance.

7 she had said.

Jungkook pulled out his phone immediately, scrolling up and down through his chats to find the one because of which he was there.

Her last text had undeniably attacked his heart with a powerful thunder-like whack. It still hurted him to see that, he wasn't prepared and he was sure of that. But nonetheless, he wasn't going to run anymore. He had to face his problems and he needed to learn that.

His eyes travelled to the watch resting over his wrist and it read, 6:45. He still had fifteen minutes left, and he could try to muster up some courage by then. But then when he looked at the watch again and to his surprise, five minutes had already passed by. His heartbeat accelerated as he noticed the time fly away like sand. His heart thumped dangerously fast and he assumed that it might jump right out of his chest if it could.

6:58

He was sweating. He tried calming himself by pulling in deep breaths and releasing them slowly. He wiped off his sweat and once again looked at his phone. The text lied right there, and the time had arrived and consequently, he was supposed to go inside now. So he walked out of his car, took a few steps forward but then stopped.

He took two steps ahead, halted and then took four steps back. He did that again and again and again. An unrecognisable terror stopping him from moving any further. But he had to go and talk and get his love back. But he was afraid, too. What if she'd hate him? What if she'd stop looking at him the way she did? What if it was really over?

And the door opened, revealing the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on. The most comfortable person he had stayed with. And his breath was taken away once he noticed that she was wearing a red and black dress, which hugged her body so snugly, he felt charmed.

He took a long deep breath before meeting her eyes and, once again, every ounce of air was sucked out if him, but instead of charm it was because of guilt.

She had been crying.

Even if she, herself, had told him that she didn't cry, he'd pick out the lie easily. Because it didn't matter that how beautifully and adequately her words can trap a person but her eyes always gave in the truth. Because they have always been pure and he had witnessed that purity for a very long time. And they were tired, her eyes, so tired.

She didn't sleep well.

And once he felt like he couldn't look in those eyes anymore, he noticed that her colour had gone pale. And it ached him.

"Jungkook." She said and he felt like running up to a cliff and jump off.

"Hi, noona." He waved his hand, uncertain if he should or not, but pulled it down quickly.

She nodded and walked back inside the house and he followed her. Everything was same, right in its place, and quite dusty, as if she wasn't in the house or she hadn't cleaned at all. And that could've been possible, several weeks have already passed since that horrendous night and Jungkook had known very well that it would've been the most difficult for Inaya.

"Noona-"

"Why?"

He was taken aback. He remembered all his practice for this question but he found his lips sealed. He didn't dare look her in the eye, neither did he look at her, he avoided her and stared at the ground. His heart started thumping with the same speed as earlier and he felt beads of sweat forming on his forehead. The anxiety was killing him and he had no air to breathe in.

"Why, Jungkook?" Inaya asked the question again, gently, too gently, that he felt himself sinking deep down in his guilt. And when her hand softly brushed away his sweat, he held back his sob.

Her eyes met his instantly as she sat down infront of him. She saw fear lingering in his eyes along with moisture held back in them. His broken form stung deep inside her heart but she didn't let that show, because she needed answers first.

"Why?" She repeated again and he almost sobbed.

"I'm sorry," He cried out. "I'm so, so sorry, noona." He held her hands, shaking them with desperation as he tried to seek for sympathy in her eyes but there was none. Just tired, that was it, that was all that her eyes showed.

She pulled her hand away and stepped back. "Why, Jungkook?"

Jungkook couldn't help but reach out for her again. But stopped when he saw the look in her eyes, as if she was seeing a stranger. And he wanted to cup her face immediately and kiss her and remind her of the love they've shared, the love that was still depressed down in her heart, the love that she had somehow lost because of his stupidity.

"Give me a chance, noona, I can make all of this right. I... I just need your support, noona." He got up and walked close to her. He tried hugging her but she moved away. "Noona, please. I can really make all of this right."

"Is that so?" She looked at him, maliciously, and he avoided that gaze.

"I... I can try." He murmured faintly, looking further away and fixing his gaze on the warm coloured walls. He would try until the end but he couldn't assure her, because he wasn't sure himself, he didn't know if he could make it alright and he was afraid he'd fail to do so.

"Alright, then, let's go to your parents and talk to them." She stated and he nodded in her direction.

He wanted to do that, too. He wanted to have a new start, all over again, with her and his family. He was sure that Inaya would comply along and so they would try to understand his family better, together. He was also sure that his sister, Hae, would love Inaya but his parents... He was afraid they'd take time but they weren't the actual problem. His grandfather was the most difficult to please and now that he had eyes on some other girl for Jungkook, Jungkook couldn't be sure but wonder what the future awaits.

But he had a more important person to be taken care off. Whom he'd love and love forever. So he grabbed her hands once again and looked at her with loving eyes and a hopeful want of understanding in them. "Yes, yes, noona, we will but-"

"Now!"

"N-now?" Jungkook stammered, unable to register her words.

"Yes. Now. Now, Jungkook, you said you're sorry for what you did then probably this would be the best apology from your side, wouldn't it?"

His timorous self hesitated. She was right, he could take her home and they would talk to his parents, try to get their trust and if not, then they can just fly away. But running away was the last thing he wanted to do.

But he also felt the anger that was hidden behind her calm tone. Aware of that, he was also aware that she was hurt and didn't trust him anymore, wouldn't trust him anymore. Not until he'd give her true comfort or a strong hope of being together forever.

He could've done that easily, but that wouldn't have been the truth. And he didn't want to lie to her again, because if it turn out to be another unsuccessful attempt, his lie would leave her withered. He was afraid, he couldn't hurt her any more because of himself but he was afraid he'd end up doing that. For he still loved her and wouldn't want to see her like this ever again. He stayed quiet.

"You cannot do that, right?" Inaya asked well aware of the answer but it ached even more when she saw him lowering his head.

"Get out, Jungkook."

"Noona, please-"

"Leave." She pointed towards the door, hiding her tears. "And don't ever come back."

"Inaya, please-" He moved towards her, asking for a little sympathy through his eyes.

And she would've given in to those eyes again until she remembered that night, when he didn't come to her rescue and she had to drown in alcohol to help herself. The next morning how she woke up infront of Yoongi in a miserable state and all those nights she had cried herself to sleep in hopes of him coming to her someday. But he didn't.

"No! Just get out of here!" She let herself cry.

"Please understand-"

"I always have, Jungkook! Everytime I mentioned about your family, you ran away from those conversations. Everytime I felt that you were sad, you would push me away and kept it all to yourself. Everytime I said we can depend on each other, you lied to me by agreeing because you never leaned on me. So what have I done until now?! I tried understanding you everytime. But how did this repay me?!" She felt tears staining her cheeks and she couldn't stop them even if she wiped them off.

"I didn't share my problems with you because I didn't want to bother you! I didn't want to snatch away that love in your eyes, that love for me. I love you, so much and I couldn't see you troubled because of me, I just couldn't beca-" He cried out.

"But what are you doing now, huh? Do you think I'm happy? It hurts me, Jungkook. It hurts me so much, so, so, so much. And it hurt me even more when I realised that you were always aware of everything. You-"

"No, noona, no." He stepped forward to try and hold her, again, but she pushed him away. And he tramped backwards.

"DON'T LIE TO ME!"

"I really didn't know about anything until last year, noona. I never knew about any of this before meeting you. It was just me and my miserable life when I met you-"

"Miserable? And last year you say? Jungkook? Last year? And you had not even, once, thought of telling me about all this? Are you kidding me here? Is this all a joke to yo-"

"No! Why aren't you trying to understand, noona? It was not easy at all. I had no idea about how I was supposed to tell you about this. You... You looked so happy. And I couldn't ruin it-" He fell down on his knees as a tear escaped his eyes. And other drops of tears followed like several drops of rain. "I just couldn't. And I would've never involved you in any of this. Please, just this once, forgive me and love me."

Looking at him crying like that, her legs gave up and she sat down. It was the second time that she saw his tears streaming out like that. And she felt like she was the bad one. Because what she did next would be something she'd never forgive herself for.

" Leave me alone, Jungkook, and do not show your face to me ever again "
