Knowledge is power,
They tell us
And they're not wrong.

What we learn grants access
Choices
Doors that open of their own accord

What is left unsaid
What is never mentioned
Is a door opened
Is never truly closed

Consequences arrive
Before we're ready
Paths are discovered
We were never meant to walk

Power is not the knowing
It's the carrying
The understanding
Of what it demands

Here's my entry for the Poetry Versification contest, day 23. The prompt was: Learn - "Knowledge is power," they said. There is always more to learn, but what if you learned forbidden knowledge?
