Sorry guys that I haven't updated in a while. I was taking a short break from writing (is it called writers block?), so I hope that you enjoy this chapter and it might not be as good 'quality' as the others. 

I woke up to yelling from outside coming this way, and I was wide awake to hear it. 

"Look if she is this powerful then she needs to come with us" a strange man's voice said coming this way. 

"Do you mean, like, to arrest her" a female person said "because she will not take it good"

"No" the man said and I mentally sighed "I was thinking about drafting her in the military" That's even worse I thought 

"She might not like that too well either" the woman said 

"If that's the case then I guess that I'll have to do it the old fashioned way then" he said I heard the woman sigh in defeat, and they were close now. I got out of bed, got dressed, made my bed, and was sitting by the open window before they even got to the door. They knocked, and I listened to their lungs and hearts pumping for a second. 

"You can come in" I said, and the door opened. I saw a man that looked in his thirties step in with the principal. I am so oblivious I thought I can't even distinguish the principal's voice even with this enhanced hearing. I was stunned for a second, and so were they, though I was sitting on the edge of the window, so if I were them I wouldn't be moving either, but if I was them there wouldn't be a kid on the window. I guess that I would make a good soldier I thought but I don't want to be one yet. 

"I told you that she wouldn't handle this well" the principal whispered to the man, but to me it was like they were talking regularly. 

"You heard everything didn't you" the man said to me, and I nodded

"Yes I did" I said "you weren't being very quiet about it, and I am not going to be a soldier. I don't want to yet" 

"What do you mean 'yet'" the man asked "and I am Sargent Walls" 

"I mean Sargent that I wasn't going to go to the military unless I had nothing else to do" I said "and I don't really want to fight again" 

"I understand" he said coming a little closer, and I saw his left hand stray to the right side of his belt "I have had the same thing happen to me, but I can't let you go. We need you, actually this whole country needs you" his hand started to come out slowly. I slid closer to the edge, so that if he shot me with anything I would still go out the window. 

"No you don't" I said and leaned back out of the window just as he pulled out his gun and shot a little too fast. A dart embedded itself in the windowsill right where my legs were. I free fell in the air as I looked up at the man coming half out the window looking at me in shock. I smirked and started to shift. I flipped as I shifted and grew, and when I was done I stood taller than the house. I went over to the man, and I growled in his shocked face, and then I ran off at full speed. The man didn't even have time to react before I was at the forest near the edge of the force-fields safety. I looked back at the man still looking out the window in shock, and I looked at the place that I thought that I would call home one last time before stepping out of the academy's safety.

She actually went out of the window. I couldn't believe that a person would actually choose the window over being a  soldier. I stood there in shock as she growled and shook the whole building, and then she was at the end of the academy before I could even try to blink. When she was out of the academy's safety was when I actually reacted. I pulled out my radio and pushed the button to speak. 

"Sir this is Sargent Walls" I said into it 

"Finally I have been waiting for you to get back to me forever" he said "I hope that you have decent news" 

"Actually I don't Sir" I said "she fell out of the window and ran. I can't catch her alone, and in the state that she is in" I waited for the yelling, but instead I heard a sigh

"I knew that she would be a hard one, but we all need her" he said "and I would think that a three thousand year old experienced Phoenix-shifter would be able to catch her" 

"Sorry Sir" I said 

"You'll have your team in the morning to search" he said "did you at least get the tracker in"

"No Sir" I heard him sigh again 

"Okay then come back, so that we can begin to track her down" he said 

"Yes Sir" I said " I will be there in five" then  I grabbed my dart on the window, and looked out to where I saw her disappear to last before turning and seeing the principal looking at me with her arms crossed. 

"What" I said to her "we need her" 

"So driving away one of my students is okay" she started to advance on me in the hall making my nerves fire up a little "this was her second and last home, and even though she didn't really have any friends you still had to drive her away after almost shooting her to make her come with you forcibly" her head was at my chest now and she was looking up at me with a death stare. It always amazed me to see the smaller people come to my ancient and tall figure. 

"I am going to get her back, and I am sorry that I offended you, but as I said we all need her or this world will fall" I said to her, but that stare still wouldn't go away. 

"It's not offending me, but it hurt Ember to leave another home, and now she is in danger from you and the dark clan" she said to me and then she walked away without another word. Wow women sure know how to make a mark on someone I thought and then I walked outside to my car that I had left by the front.

I noticed as I was walking that I was once again a different color. The lightning bolt on my side had a black outline, with the tip being black, then white, then red, then orange, and now the rest was filled with the new color that I had which was a darker violet color. I shrank to the size that I was comfortable with, and I did it because it would make me harder to find and track. 

"Who and what are you" a voice said from behind me. I turned and saw a man pointing a gun that smelled of silver. 

Look I don't want trouble I said to him, and he looked surprised for a second before regaining himself. 

"I will not ask again" he said "what are you"

Well obviously I am a werewolf, but I am different than the others I said to him, but he wasn't going along with what I was saying to him what are you.

"A werewolf hunter" he said and then he pulled the trigger, and I felt a burning and pinching sensation in the middle of my head for a second. Then I shook my head and something went into a tree behind me, but the worse thing for the man was that I was very mad at him. He looked at me and then his gun and the mark on the tree next to us in shock and then he ran, and the hunter became the hunted. I let him go about three feet before running after him, but he didn't get very far before he was knocked on the floor with me standing on him with a heavy paw. 

Okay let me get this I started you think that it is a good idea to shoot something and try or do kill it without reason.

"Why didn't you die" he said filled with fear "that shot would kill anything"

Well two things I started one, you can't kill something that's already dead, and two, I am not a regular creature. I looked him in the eyes as I stepped off of him, and then set him on fire by breathing liquid fire on him, and then I walked away with the man's screams behind me echoing throughout the forest. I ran when I smelled singed flesh and silence, and I ran far from the place that I was last because I knew that the man would be there soon with a 'search' team. I ran past two other men that were five miles out, and I stopped by a tree. 

"Did you hear that" one man said turning to a woman, and I saw that they both had rifles that smelled of silver. 

"Yeah" she said "I think that it was Don"

"Let's go check it out" the man said

"No!" she said "I don't want to disobey our orders"

"Well what are they if our squad leader is dead" the man said "and if he is then don't you think that we should find out so that we can report it" these people seem nicer and more lenient I thought. The woman sighed and looked around for a second before slinging her rifle on her back. 

"Let's go, but if we don't find anything and it was just another werewolf" she stopped thinking about something to do "then you are going to be taking all of the blame, and scrubbing my rifle for the next week"

"And if there is something there" the man said

"Then I guess that you'll have the satisfaction that you were right" she said and they both got up and started to the dead man that I had killed. I followed them cautiously because I couldn't trust them yet, and because my head still stung from the gunshot. Thankfully they didn't hear the gunshot I thought because if they did then they would be dead too, but they might still die if they see me. They, with me trailing behind them, were almost at the sight when they stopped and I saw that a large group of people were already at the death. They were gathered around a body, and I could smell that the two were very angry at someone. They ran up to the scene with their guns on their backs, and looked at the dead body. They went right in-between all of the soldiers that were around them, but they didn't noticed them staring at them until they actually looked around. Then they pulled out their guns, and pointed them at the werewolf soldiers, and that was a bad mistake because a second after they had ten other guns pointing at them with two growling werewolves in wolf form. 

"What did you do to him Phoenix" the woman yelled into the mans face, and I guessed that this was 'his' team. 

"I didn't do this" he said "and I don't know who would hunter, but they did it for good reason" he was just being a cocky a** now. If they were already here then they are pretty good trackers because I barely left a trail to follow, or they are just here because of the smell of burning flesh. I stepped out into their view and they all looked at me. 

I killed that a**hole because he shot me in the head I said to all of them, and I almost laughed when the two jumped, and when the soldiers and wolves got stiff for a second. 

"Why" the woman asked

Okay so when I was walking around here he ambushed me, and we talked for a second before he shot me in the head I started I don't die because I am already dead, so I took the bullet out, and when I caught him I burned him to a crisp and left him here. I saw the man lift his gun up and before everyone could react he had fired a bullet at me, but it was stopped by an invisible force. I dropped the shield and stalked to him, and all of the soldiers even Walls stepped back, but the woman stepped in-front of the other hunter man defensively. 

"Don't you touch him" she said to me threateningly

Why not I said to her he tried to kill me like that other guy and both out of hate and fear, so tell me a good reason why I shouldn't kill him

"Fine if you want a good reason" she started "is ripping your head off a good start"

No I said and kept on walking to the man, and the woman chose this moment to jump onto my back and she grabbed my head in a position to rip off my head. 

"Not so tough are you now huh" she said into my ear, but she didn't bother me.

I don't care about what you do vampire, and why are you with the hunters anyways I said to her directly.

"I have to work with them or they will kill my whole family" she said saddened

How do you know that they aren't already dead vampire I said

"My name is Natalia, not vampire...werewolf" she said "and I don't" 

Then why do you work with them Natalia I asked and why don't you have a scent

"I don't know why I still work for them, and the second one is a secret" she said smirking

Then why try to fight me when it is just going to get you killed, and when we both have a common enemy I asked her and her silence said that she didn't know, and then she scoffed and looked at me disbelievingly. 

"Try" she dared me, and I grabbed the edge of her shirt and had her facing a sharp point of a tree branch before anyone could react of blink. 

I could impale you right now, and you wouldn't even know it until you were dying I said to her while enjoying her terrified face. I forgot about the others until I looked around to see their shocked faces and the man in metal cuffs near a truck with a terrified face. 

"You won't kill me" she said "because you want to know why" 

No please tell me I said sarcastically pushing her a little further to the natural stake

"Because you want to know more, and because if you kill me then this place will be stormed by soldiers waiting for one of our deaths, and there will be no survivors" she said threatening me and the academy

And I can kill all of them without thinking I said 

"I also know that you want to get far away from them" she motioned to the soldiers with her head "and that brings up a question" 

What I asked

"Why do you run from them" she tried to look at me

I run because if I stay with them then someone will either die or get hurt I said now sad

"What do you mean" she said

I mean that I am too dangerous to everyone and everything as a soldier, and I can't be made into one I said to her and then I turned and set her down. I heard the man sigh, and everyone visibly relaxed why didn't you tell me that you were different too instead of going off about a forced recruitment I said the Walls looking at him a little angered, and for probably the first time in a while for him. I gave him something to fear, and run from. 

"I would've told you on the way there, but I never got that chance" he said 

Then tell me now, and I might change my mind I said challenging him

"Okay" he said sighing "it all started when I was fifteen. My parents and me just had gotten into a big argument, and it made me angry. I never knew what I was until the whole block was cinders and ash, and so I ran far away from there. I couldn't sleep or eat for days, and then a soldier found me as a little boy in the streets fishing from a trash can for food. 

He said that he almost shot me when I scared him, but he took me in and kept me safe for six years. When I was the age to go to the military, I did that same thing that you are doing now. I fled again, and it took them weeks to track me down and convince me to join them. I eventually joined them, and even though the training process was hard. I rose up during the two plus millenniums, and I lied about what I was because it was classified. Though I can say it now because everyone in my team knows this, and these two are going to jail" he pointed to the woman and man that were in special cuffs, and in the jeep that they had brought. "I am the head of armies, and second in command to the king" I stiffened because if I killed him then I would have the whole kingdom on my tail. I started to shift, and when I was done I was wearing my usual suit of armor with my many weapons. I was a very formidable enemy to those that were stupid enough to try and fight me in my human form. 

"I guess that I will join you, but I am not happy about having to leave my family again" I said 

"What do you mean 'again'" he asked, and I sighed preparing to tell my story again. 

"One day I was attacked, and as you all know I was turned into a werewolf as you all know and see" I started "but I am different as you can see. I don't need to breath, I can control the elements, I can't die, and I am considered higher than godly status, but I am also a royal" when I said this everyone froze, but I could tell that they knew that it was true. 

"What happened to you" one of the soldier women asked

"One night I was supposed to come to the academy, and learn to control the powers that I had been given from my transitioned good werewolf father, but instead I was tortured by an evil werewolf that was nearing the end of his days" I was getting angry, so I thought of my mother and my life before all of this to calm me down a little, and it worked every time "he attacked me, and bit me nine times, twice in the arms, legs, sides of my waist, shoulders, and once in the neck to kill me. He told me that I would remember all of it when I woke up the second time after I died. I noticed that I didn't need to breath anymore, and so far my fur has changed colors along with getting this armor and weapons after every shift, and a strange tattoo on my back. I will join this 'army', but I give no guarantees that someone will get hurt from my developing powers and I need to go do something first."

I looked at the soldiers, and even the two hunters looked horrified at my story. Then I looked at Walls, and waited for him to speak.

"Truly I am sorry about what happened to you, and I apologize for the sadness and hurt that I caused you" he said "and your story...well past is worse than mine could ever have been. Though I do hope that you find a peace in being a soldier, but I should tell you why" I looked at him expectantly for the answer that he couldn't provide me before hand. 

"Well" I said "why" 

"The hunters are trying to wipe us out and as you can see they are either threatening, or getting vampires to work for them" he said "and we need you for obvious reasons, and how can you get so big" 

"It was just what my regular shifting form is, and it is very hard to not grow when shifting" I said getting a surprised look "and that reminds me" I shifted and looked around with heat vision, and I saw a-lot of soldiers that were waiting for something. 

I need to go kill the problem I said looking at him viciously, and then I went about killing all of the vampires and hunters that I found. They all ended in either getting their head bitten or swiped off, or getting cut into pieces. I noticed that I was a flame green now, and the outline of my lightning bolt was white with black at the top, then white, red, orange, violet, and green. I made sure that they saw their method of death before I ended them, but I let a few live because, like the female vampire that I had 'met' earlier, they were threatened to join instead of joining from choice. Those ones I killed, but they didn't get to see their death...it just came. I went in a wide circle, and when I was done I dumped five vampires in-front of Walls. Then they were cuffed and put into the trucks. 

"What. The. Hell" Walls said when the vampires that I'd spared were in the trucks. 

What I couldn't just do nothing while they almost killed my home I said to him defensively

"No not that" he said "I mean how in the world could you do that" he pointed to the area around him even though he couldn't see the dead people. 

Oh. That I said I didn't want to do it, but it just happens when I'm mad and can't die, and can run faster than anything living or dead I tried and he sighed.

"No not that either" he said "I mean you did something that would've taken us a while to do, and in a couple of seconds" 

As I said I was mad I said staring at him dangerously

"Well I guess that I won't make you mad unless I don't want a head!" on of the soldiers yelled from the car trying to lighten up the mood, but with no effect, and we both just stared at him. 

"Aw come on guys" he exclaimed "you can't even have a little fun" he held him pointer and thumb close together but not touching to show a point. 

"No!" me and Walls said yelled

When do we leave I said to Walls

"Now" he said and moved to the back door of an empty-of-prisoners truck and opened up the door "you can shift back into a human now, or run with us" 

I'll ride with you I said and I grew as I shifted, and then shrank to my armored and weaponized form. When I looked at the soldiers in the car I saw that they all were looking at me in shock and fear...except for Walls who just looked at me, then them and huffed disbelievingly and got in the truck. I walked over to the other side of the truck, and I remembered that my armor was heavy. So I absorbed it into my body, and got into the back of the truck with Walls.
