-Chapter 8-
As I got into the house, all I saw was his backpack at the door. I didn't see Oliver anywhere. "Oliver?" I called out but he didn't answer. I looked around the house and didn't see him. Then I thought of something.
His bedroom.
I went upstairs and went to his bedroom. I tried to open the bedroom door, but it was locked. "Oliver?!" I yelled as I knocked on the door. Once again, he didn't answer.
I know he's inside of his room because why would the door be locked? I kept knocking on the door waiting for a response.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT?!" I heard Oliver yell.
"Can we talk?!" I said back.
"I DON'T KNOW, CAN WE?"
What did they lie about me now.
"Oliver, I don't know what they told you, but it's not true! They always accuse me for something I didn't do." I said to Oliver.
"And how can I trust you?" Oliver responded.
"Because I'm your sister. Just listen to me please!"
I heard footsteps coming to the door. Oliver unlocked the door but didn't open it. I opened the door slowly and walked in. I looked around the room and didn't see Oliver anywhere.
"C'MON, I'M DONE WITH PLAYING HIDE AND SEEK!" I yelled.
"And you should also be done with playing two faced too." Oliver said as he walked out of the bathroom.
"Can you tell me what they said about me?"
"Oh, they didn't say anything about you; they just did something to me."
"WHAT DID THEY DO?"
"Quinn broke up with me because of you. You always cause problems no matter what!"
Quinn did what? Even though I didn't like her, at least she made my brother happy which was one thing I failed at.
"Because of me?" I said to Oliver, "Oh, if she really loved you then she wouldn't break up with you because of me. That's just a stupid excuse she made so you can hate me even more! Didn't you realize ever since you dated her, we haven't been close to each other? It's probably a sign that she isn't the one. I know you can do better."
"And what do you know about it? Just leave me alone. The reason why we haven't been close is because you can never be happy for me, not even for once."
"I always am, and you know that. The reason why I'm not happy for you is because she's manipulating you. How do you not know that? Dumber than I thought." I said as I walked out of the room and slammed the door.
If he wanted me to leave him alone then I will. I know he will come running back to me when he realizes that I'm right.
I just have to wait for that moment.
As I walked to my room, I pulled out my phone.
Text messages:
Victoria: Quinn, what in the world? You can't just do that to Oliver!
I put my phone away. It might take her some time to respond. 30 minutes passed and Quinn said something back.
I looked at the text message.
Quinn: Sending this video to your brother right now... :)
I watched the video.
NO, SHE CAN'T! THAT WOULD BE EVEN WORSE THAN THE WHOLE SCHOOL KNOWING ABOUT IT.
Biggest Mistake.
Victoria: WAIT, WHERE ARE YOU RIGHT NOW! I WILL FOLLOW WITH THE PLAN, JUST PLEASE DON'T SEND IT TO HIM.
Quinn: Too late, you already made your decision and so did I. You should've thought about that earlier.
Victoria: QUINN, I'LL DO ANYTHING! JUST PLEASE
Quinn: Too late. I'm already sending the video.
Victoria: PLEASE!
Quinn went offline. There was only ONE thing left to do.
Take Oliver's phone.
I walked out of my room, and up to Oliver's door. Wait a minute, I needed to think of a way to make him come out of his room without his phone.
I walked downstairs, and to the front of the door. "Oliver," I called out, "Quinn's here to talk to you. Privately."
I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. I quickly ran back upstairs as Oliver was coming down the stairs. As he reached downstairs, I went in his room.
Where's his phone? I thought to myself. I looked on his bed and saw his phone there.
How did I not see that?
I grabbed it and walked out of the room. I quickly ran back to my bedroom and closed the door behind me.
I turned on his phone. Oh no, what's the password?
I tried putting his birthday, but it didn't work. As I was trying different combinations, I heard someone knock on my room door. I quickly hid Oliver's phone under the pillow then opened the door.
"Oh, hey Oliver..." I said as I opened the door a bit more.
"Where's my phone?" Oliver said back to me.
"W-what are you talking about?"
"Okay, what's wrong with you Victoria? You keep lying to me constantly, and I know you said that Quinn was at the door just so you could go sneak my phone. Don't act like you have no idea what's going on right now."
"There's nothing wrong with! I didn't take your phone, Oliver. Can you just... go?"
"Just give me my phone now. If you don't, it will just be worser for you. I'm giving you a chance right now."
I looked shocked. Oliver's giving me a change? Wait... I can't give him back his phone! He'll see the message.
It doesn't look like I have much of a choice.
I got the phone from under my pillow and handed it to him. Oliver just grabbed the phone and walked away.
I expected way worse than that.
I only hope he didn't see the video.
I went on my phone and saw that Quinn sent me a text along with a screenshot.
Quinn: Message read.
She showed me the screen shot of the video saying 'seen'. I started to panic. Maybe he saw it and didn't click on it? I don't know.
A few minutes later, I heard intense banging on my door. I ignored it acting like I didn't hear it. After, I heard someone open my door so hard that it hit the wall behind it.
"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" Oliver yelled. I could see tears coming down from his eyes.
"O-Oliver," I began, "I didn't mean to! They tricked me and now I know that I was wrong for agreeing with them!"
"Wrong for agreeing with them? YOU DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE HEART TO AT LEAST TELL ME THAT QUINN WAS A FAKE, YOU JUST STARTED SAYING TO ME TO NOT DATE SOMEONE I JUST MET! I WOULDN'T BE AS MAD IF YOU TOLD ME THAT, AT LEAST I WOULD KNOW THAT YOU CARED FOR ME!"
"Oliver, you're getting this all wrong!"
"I'm getting this all wrong. Really, is that the best excuse you can think of? You just proved that you can't even be a good sibling!"
"Hear me out, I didn't mean to do it!"
"Oh really? You didn't mean to, but yet you did. Sometimes I wonder if you're even my sibling. Just don't talk to me from now on."
I stopped talking as Oliver walked out of the room.
He doesn't think that I'm his sister...?
There was no way to apologize to him now.
"Oliver, wait!" I said as I ran to his door, but his room door was already locked.
"I'm sorry!" I said to Oliver, "I don't care if you won't forgive me, but at least you know that."
"Just sorry? Yeah, come up with something better. Just leave me alone." Oliver said back.
I felt tears come down from my eyes. There was really NO way to apologize to him.
"Just give me one more chance!" I yelled in tears.
"One more chance; didn't I give you so many chances though?" Oliver said back.
"I won't mess up this time, I promise!"
He didn't respond. "PLEASE!" I yelled as I banged on his room door. He still didn't respond. I ran over to my room in tears and closed the door behind me. I messed up really bad. Maybe I should just give Oliver some time...
There's basically nothing I can do now.
I just need to at least give him a day. Maybe he will finally accept my apology, or not.
I heard someone open the door. It must be mom. "Oliver, Victoria, come downstairs for dinner!" My mom yelled.
I don't feel like eating.
I went on my bed and stared into the celling. What a start to school. I never been in so much drama before, usually no one notices me or people pick on me all the time, but it never went so far that it made Oliver hate me.
As I was on the bed, I fell asleep. Maybe tomorrow will be a better day.
***
It was the next day. I woke up, and I wasn't in a rush like the other days. I just did my basic morning routine and went downstairs. I didn't even bother to eat breakfast either. I got my backpack and went outside for the bus even though I was 10 minutes early. Oliver didn't bother to look at me either. I was looking at him hoping to make eye contact, but I guess not.
Sometime later, Oliver came outside. He stood far away from me, but I tried to ignore it. The bus came, and I decided to sit all the way in the back so no one will be looking at me.
The bus arrived at school, and I walked to the classroom. I walked slowly so I wouldn't have to catch up with Oliver. Oliver was walking with his other friends.
Of course, he is.
As I reached the classroom, I sat down in my seat.
"Hey!" I heard someone say as they came up to me, "My name is Eleanor, what's yours?"
