I took a sip of my water. "And all that pregnant and in fucking heels," I grumbled, lifting one of my feet to show the heels I was wearing. Luther started laughing. Paddy stared at her for a moment before bursting out laughing too. I couldn't help it. She started laughing with them. "Don't encourage me," I told him, slightly shaking my head. "I'm beginning to think you're the dangerous one," Paddy said. "I'm lovely," I said, surprised and sweetly. Luther nodded solemnly. "Terrifyingly lovely," he mumbled. I turned to him and pointed a finger at him. "Exactly," I told him with a grin. Paddy just shook his head. "I've only known ye a short while, and somehow I believe that," he mumbled, still smiling, which just kept me smiling and happy. For the first time since she'd arrived in Ireland, the tension in her shoulders finally began to ease. Paddy and Luther kept talking. Nothing important. Nothing heavy. Just stupid stories, jokes, and teasing. And I found myself laughing more than I had expected. Eventually Paddy noticed her expression. "There she is," he said, and I looked at him with a light frown. "What?" I asked. "That smile," he replied, giving me a nod. When I saw Chibs walking by, he quickly leaned in and kissed me with a hand on my belly. "Ye alright?" he asked, and I nodded. "Yeah, your kid keeps me entertained," I said with a sweet smile and a nod towards Paddy, who gave me a light shove in return. Luther lifted his drink just then. "Terrible company," Luther said, lowering his drink. "Speak for yourself," Paddy said. I laughed again. "You're both idiots," I said with a roll of my eyes. Paddy smiled. "Now ye're fitting in," he said with a slight laugh. Riley leaned back in her chair. Maybe Ireland wasn't going to be quite as difficult as she'd thought. At least she had found two people capable of making her laugh. And for tonight, that was enough. I looked around and saw Clay and Gemma sitting at a table with drinks in hand. When I slowly walked towards them, I saw one of the girls from earlier. When I stopped at the table, I saw Clay and Gemma both turn around. "You okay?" Gemma asked, and I nodded when I felt Gemma move closer to Clay, patting the space next to her, and I smiled, sitting down. "I think we're both okay," I said with a hand in the pouch on my belly, feeling my belly, but there was nothing. "Good," Clay said with a nod. "Ye expecting?" The Girl asked, and I turned around to look at her. "Yeah," I said to her. "Riley, this is Trinity; she is Maureen's daughter." Gemma quickly introduced her. I gave her a nod when I heard footsteps approaching, and I saw Jax, Opie, and Chibs walk towards us. Jax looked furious in the little light I saw. "What happened?" I asked, and when I looked past him, I saw Lima waiting. "Liam and I are gonna fight that little prick who challenged me," Jax grumbled, taking the tape from the table in front of me. "Ye need a hand?" Trinity asked, getting up and taking the tape from Jax, who grinned and thankfully held his hand out. I looked at Gemma and Clay, who clearly saw what I was seeing. Jax took his shirt off, and I looked at him up and down. "Well, I'm married, right, babe," I mumbled, saying the last two words louder, and Chibs looked over at what I was looking at and just laughed. "Yer allowed to look," Chibs admitted, and I quickly got up and followed him. Chibs opened his arms, catching me and softly kissing me before releasing me while I stood where I was, turning back around for a second and walking back to the table. I looked over, seeing the fight start. "Come on, Jax." I yelled from where I was sitting, knowing he wouldn't hear it. Gemma glanced at her. "Riley," she softly said. "What?" I asked back. "You're cheering," she softly said. "I am not." I quietly said. "You literally just said his name like you're watching a football match," she replied. I just gave her a shrug in return. "He's my friend," I mumbled, turning away from Gemma. "You've known him how long?" Clay asked, and I gave him a short glance. "Long enough," I grumbled just as Jax landed another hit. "Come on, Jax!" I yelled just as loudly as the others who were closer to him. Gemma shook her head. "You're impossible." I heard her say. "I'm supportive." I replied with a shrug, watching the match keep going. I could hear a chuckle behind me, knowing from the tone it was Clay. "That's one word for it." I grumbled, and I felt a light tap on my shoulder from a big hand. Then Jax landed the final blow. Liam staggered backward and went down. Riley threw one fist into the air. "YES!" I yelled. Trinity burst out laughing. Gemma covered her mouth, trying not to smile. Clay simply shook his head. Jax stood there for a moment, catching his breath. Then he turned and started walking toward them, still shirtless, his ripped body sweaty and dripping. I watched him approach. At first glance, he looked rough. A little dirt on his clothes. A split lip. A few marks from the fight. But I knew what she was looking for. I gave him one quick scan from head to toe. Then another. Her medical instincts kicked in automatically. No obvious serious injury. No limp. No sign he was struggling to breathe. He was annoyed, bruised, and definitely going to feel that tomorrow. But he was okay. Jax reached them. Riley held up the water bottle. "You good?" I asked, and Jax showed off his muscles. "COME ON," he yelled, which made me just shake my head. "Actually fine?" I asked with a slightly raised eyebrow. "Actually fine." Jax said with a nod; I nodded. "Good." I mumbled.
