I leaned around Chibs. "Go Away." I snapped. I saw Bobby looking around the corner. "Happy anniversary," Bobby said with a smile; I narrowed my eyes. "How do you know?" I asked. "Gemma told me," he replied. I smiled at him, feeling Chibs also turning around. "Thank you," I replied, still smiling. "Happy anniversary, Riley." I heard another voice yell from somewhere behind Bobby, and I realized it was Juice. "SOMEBODY HOLD THAT BOY," I yelled as I released Chibs's hands, walking to where Bobby was standing, and when I walked around the corner, I saw Juice held by Happy. "YOU LITTLE SHIT, IF YOU GONNA FUCK AROUND, DO IT SOMEWHERE I CAN'T HEAR YOU, OR ELSE I'LL BEAT YOUR ASS," I grumbled, and again the room erupted in laughter when somebody grabbed me from behind and dragged me back towards our room, and I knew it was Chibs holding me back from really smacking the shit out of Juice, although I wouldn't do that. He was more like my little brother to me. We barely made it halfway down the hallway when somebody called after us. "Chibs!" and when I turned around, I saw Jax looking from the start of the hallway. "No." I quickly said, turning around and pointing my finger at him. I felt Chibs also stop, probably because I stopped turning around at Jax. "We need you," Jax said, and I quickly walked back, but Chibs held me back. "You need him?" I asked, feeling the pull on my hand, and Jax nodded. "Yeah," Jax softly replied, and I had a lot of respect for him, but I was just having a moment with Chibs on our anniversary. I looked at Chibs, and from him to Jax, and then back to Chibs. "You gotta be kidding me," I grumbled. Chibs gave me an apologetic look. "Lass," he said softly, and I gave him a stern look. "No," I grumbled. "I'm gonna be back," he said, taking my hands again in his. "You said that when you almost got blown up, and you know how that day ended," I said. I felt his hands squeezing mine. "I know." Chibs softly replied; only I could hear it. "And remember when you were released from the hospital? When Jax pulled you away the night you and the others fought those idiots?" I asked, and Chibs nodded. "Aye, aye, I know," Chibs said with a nod. And now they're doing it again, and I know Club comes first, but still, this is a special day for both of us. "I'll make it quick," Chibs said, releasing my hand and placing his hand on both sides of my face. I crossed my arms. "Of course you will," I grumbled. Chibs leaned down and kissed her forehead. "Happy anniversary," he whispered. I smiled despite myself. "Happy anniversary." I quietly replied. He squeezed her hand before walking back toward Jax. I watched him disappear. Then I slowly turned around. Jax was still standing there. He immediately realized he had made a mistake. "Jax." I said quietly, and he stopped from walking away where Chibs disappeared to. "Riley," he replied. "Whatever's gonna happen. Please don't let my husband get killed again." I said quietly; I felt Jax give me a promising nod. "Promise," he quietly said, more like mouthing it. I nodded, turning around to head back to my room, but I couldn't stay there for long, so I grabbed my thick coat and went outside, where I saw two guys on their post watching for anybody leaving or entering the perimeter, while I saw the Camaro standing on the side. I heard soft talking behind me when I heard something from the side, and when I looked, I saw a woman watching me from an alleyway. I walked towards the alley, and when I walked around a corner, I saw a little store. When I walked in, I saw a woman with my back to me. Just as my shoes hit the floor, the clacking made her turn around, and then I saw who she was. "Riley?" she said before I was able to say anything. I stopped in my tracks and looked at the brunette. For a moment, neither of us moved. "Cherry." I said quietly. She gave me a light nod and a slight smile. "Yeah," she replied quietly. The last time they'd spoken, it had been over the phone. Cherry had called looking for Sack. I had been the one who'd had to tell her the awful truth. Now they were finally standing in the same room. My expression softened. "Oh, my God," I whispered, feeling tears in my eyes. Cherry's eyes filled with tears too. "I've been wanting to meet ye," she quietly said. I crossed the distance between us and hugged her tight; she moved the broom to the side just as I reached her. "I'm so sorry." I whispered into her ear as a soft tear fell down my face; Cherry pulled away slightly. "For what?" she asked. "That you never got the happy ending with Sack." I replied with a light sigh, stepping back. "I know," she replied, grabbing the broom and walking towards the cashier's desk. "But you have a boyfriend now, from what you told me?" I asked, and Cherry nodded. "Yeah, Liam, the second in command," she replied while I slowly followed her, leaning against the desk. "Liam? That guy?" I asked. "You do realize you could have taken any of the other guys, and you chose him?" I asked her. She shrugged, moving a pack of cigarettes towards me, but I pushed them back. "You sick?" she asked, worried, and I quickly shook my head. "Nope, healthy as a horse, just eating for 2 at the moment." I replied with a light smile. "What?" Cherry asked, until she realized what I meant. "Riley," she screeched, running around the desk and hugging me while we both laughed. "That is fantastic," she added when she softly released me.
