When I get home I thank the lucky stars that let me get away just before the police got there. The fight between Anna and Oliver was kind of the high light of my night. Anna is to good for that bastard, she belongs with someone nice... like me. What am I thinking she will never go for a geek she's to good. I rush up to my room and slam the door.
I wake up to my mother calling me for breakfast. It is Saturday morning and mom's "famous" pancake day. I crawl out of bed feeling the pounding in my head from the few drinks I had last night. I promised myself I wouldn't drink but after running into Anna I felt like I needed it.
I hurry downstairs and sit at the table with my mom and dad, they look at me like I've grown two heads.
"What?" I feel my hair and realize I'm a mess in yesterday's clothes.
"Nothing honey." My mom slaps my dad on the back of the arm and starts eating. After breakfast I change into my normal clothes and head out to meet with Alex.
Alex is leaning on the hood of his truck and smoking a cigarette. I shake my head and walk up to him.
"Dude smoking is bad for you." He chuckles and rolls his eyes.
"Lots of things are bad for you but we still do them now don't we." I nod and lean next to him.
"I can't believe the party got busted. That was terrifying." Alex pushes off the hood and heads towards the park. I follow him and sit next to him on the broken swing set.
"Do you think Anna got in a lot of trouble?" Alex glances at me and shakes his head seeing that I'm serious.
"Naw man she probably got a slap on the wrist and a "don't do that again"." I laughed because he was probably right.
We meet the nexr day to do the smae as always,sit at the park talk and watch Alex smoke.We talked for an hour before we headed home to get rest before school in the morning.
