I walk down the halls of Poison Oak High. I look down at my muddy converse and decide this year will be different. I know that isn't true because I will always be known as the nerd.
"Hey Sam!" Alex my best friend walks up to me holding out his fist. I shake my head and give him a fist bump.
"What's up Alex?" Alex is a nerd just like me but he likes to think he's cool.
"I heard there is going to be a party tomorrow night. It's being held at some rich chicks house that goes to Depp. We should totally check it out man." Partying is one of Alex's favorite hobbies, well that and studying.
"I don't know Alex those Depp kids can be such snobs." He rolls his eyes and throws an arm around my shoulders. I shake him off and pull a book from my locker.
"Dude it will be awesome plus you get to meet some hot chicks." Alex is seventeen just like I am but he acts more like a thirteen year old.
"I don't care about meeting chicks. I care about getting into Yale and getting out of this hodunk town."
Alex laughs and ran to another group of kids. I sit next to my locker and wait for the first bell to ring.
"So the party is being held at Anna Visero's house. Meet me there at eight and bring the girls." Felix Matt the notorious bad boy stands at his locker with his best friend Elliot.
"See you then, bro." They do that bro hug thing and then take off in different directions just then the bell rings and I stand up and walk to class.
If Felix is going then dammed if I'm not, he always pushes me around and treats me like dirt. Who am I kidding I can't go to a party especially not when Felix is attending. I take my seat in Biology and listen to the teacher as she drones on about the Biology of plants. My mind begins to wander and soon I'm thinking about Anna Visero the notorious Queen Bee of Depp high. I've heard she has a boyfriend named Oliver or something. I sigh and open my biology book when we are told.
