Your POV

As you walk up the stairs to reach the dojo, you can't help but feel that someone is watching you. After looking around and seeing nobody, you shrug and continue up the stairs. Once you reach the top, you head inside and find Xander. 

"Xander!" You yell while running towards him. He turns around and laughs. 

"Hey, Y/N! Ready to train? I'm all warmed up, so let's just get to the battling," Xander says to you. You nod and pull your Beyblade, b/n, out of your pocket. 

"B/n is a defense type, so we have an advantage here," you point out to Xander. He laughs once again and replies, 

"We'll just have to wait and see about that." You look around, feeling someone looking at you once again. You turn back to the stadium after not seeing anyone. 

"Ready, set. 3. . . 2. . .1. . . Let it Rip!" 

B/n takes the center of the stadium and Xcalius circles around, getting ready to attack. 

"Get ready, b/n!" You yell. Xcalius hits b/n, hitting it back a little bit. B/n comes back and hits Xcalius, not causing much damage. The Beyblades continue to clash for a while until. . .

"Xcalius! Dual Sabers!" Xander yells. You put an arm out in front of you and say, 

"B/n! Hang in there!" Xcalius makes contact with b/n and bursts it immediately. You fall to your knees. 

"You put up a good fight," Xander tells you. You sigh and pick up b/n before placing it back into your pocket. Then, you feel someone watching you again. 

"Whoever's watching me can stop!" You yell. Xander laughs and then speaks,

"Guess your cover's blown, Ukyo." A boy walks out from the shadows and into the light. He has blue hair that's pulled into a low ponytail and he's wearing a blue and purple coat with a hood. He is also wearing black pants, black finger-less gloves, and red sneakers. 

"Hey there," he says, "They call me The Shadow Walker. You've probably guessed why." You cross your arms and reply, 

"Why have you been watching me?" Ukyo meets your eyes. 

"You seemed. . . interesting. I wanted to see how you'd fare against Xander in a battle," Ukyo explains. You turn to Xander and gesture to Ukyo. 

"A new Blader that you scouted for your dojo?" Xander nods and laughs. 

"Yep. This is Ukyo Ibuki. He is also going to be a part of the Sword Flames," Xander explains. 

"Guess we're teammates then. Nice to meet you, Ukyo," you say, holding out your hand. Ukyo shakes your hand and replies, 

"Yep. Nice to meet you too Y/N. I've heard a lot about you. You were third in the tournament last year, after Shu Kurenai and Lui Shirosagi, right?" You nod. 

"If you're part of the Sword Flames, do you live here?" Ukyo asks you. You shake your head and answer, 

"My house is just down the mountain, so I walk up here every morning to come train." 

"You come up that mountain to get to the dojo every morning?!?" Ukyo asks in disbelief. 

"Don't underestimate me just because I'm smaller than you," you answer, crossing your arms again. Xander laughs as Ukyo's face turns red. 

"I-I didn't mean it that way. It's j-just amazing that you do that every day. It's p-pretty tiring," he stammers. You and Xander laugh at Ukyo. 

"Time for our pre-lunch run!" Xander yells. Everyone inside of the dojo makes their way outside to begin the run. You fall into place at the front of the pack, keeping up with Xander. Ukyo takes his place a little behind the two of you. 

"What's wrong, Shadow Walker, can't keep up?" You tease. Ukyo sticks his tongue out at you and continues running at his previous pace. 

"You know, little cousin, I think Ukyo has quite the crush on you," Xander whispers in your ear. You push Xander away and blush. 

"G-Gross. It's not like I have a crush on him anyways. Stop teasing me about it," you reply. 

Oh yeah, you and Xander are cousins. Sometimes you stay over at the dojo with him and your grandfather. 

The run comes to an end and you all head inside to eat lunch. You take your sandwich outside to eat with Xander and Yugo. And, of course, Ukyo is there as well. You sit next to Ukyo on one side of the picnic table because Xander and Yugo are on the other side. You begin to eat your sandwich, unaware of the person next to you who was thinking about how beautiful you are. 

After lunch, you all head inside to train more. You and Ukyo find yourself at the same stadium. 

"Wanna battle? Bet I'll win," Ukyo states. You scoff and reply, 

"In your dreams. You're on, Ibuki." Ukyo smirks and takes out his Beyblade. 

"This is Uber Unicrest. A defense type who's pretty hard to beat," he explains. You look at his Beyblade in awe. 

"Your little unicorn won't beat b/n. This is what a real defense type looks like," you reply, showing b/n to Ukyo. 

"Not bad. We'll have to see who'll win this battle, though," Ukyo responds, attaching Unicrest to the launcher. You do the same. 

The battle begins and Unicrest takes the center. B/n circles around the outside. As b/n spins, it's losing speed by the second. However, Unicrest is fine in the center. B/n strikes Unicrest, but it has no effect as Unicrest hits it away quickly. After a little bit, b/n stops spinning. 

"Dang. I thought that I had that one. Oh well, this next battle for sure," you say. Ukyo chuckles at your determination before prepping for the next battle. You do the same and then take your stance. 

The battle begins and this time, b/n and Unicrest both head for the center. B/n gets there first, but Unicrest is coming up on it. 

"Now, B/n!" You yell. B/n makes a little circle and then heads straight for Unicrest. The Beyblades collide and. . . Unicrest bursts. 

"This can't be possible," Ukyo says, picking up the three pieces of Unicrest. 

"Told you that I'd win," you reply with a smirk, "Nice battle though." Xander laughs and walks over to you, lying an arm on your shoulder. 

"You know," Xander whispers in your ear, "You should ask him out." You smile and reply back, 

"I think that I will, dear cousin." You walk over to Ukyo and start to play with your hair. Your cheeks are dusted with a faint blush. 

"You know, Ukyo. I, um, was wondering if you'd like to maybe-" you are cut off as Ukyo presses his lips to yours. 

"Yeah, I'll be your boyfriend. If you hadn't started to ask me, I was going to ask you," Ukyo tells you. You smiles and kiss Ukyo on the cheek while bringing him into a hug. 

"You better be good to my cousin, Ukyo. If you hurt them, you'll have me to deal with," Xander says to Ukyo. You laugh and turn to Ukyo.

"Don't worry, that won't happen," you say, "I'll deal with you myself if you hurt me. And I'm scarier than Xander when I'm mad." Ukyo smirks and replies, 

"I'll trust you on that one." Ukyo then kisses you on the lips once again. 

"I really like you, Shadow Walker," you say to Ukyo. 

"Yeah," Ukyo replies, "I really like you too."
